Good lunch spot. Nothing fancy, service is good, and food is tasty. Bento box has tons of food for a very reasonable price. It is what I usually get when I come here. I like the chicken teryiaki and I usually get the spicy tuna rolls, edamame, and crab rangoon. I love the salad dressing! The restaurant also frequently offers Groupons, which makes the prices even more cheap. I definitely have had sticky table/menu here before, so I understand where people are coming from on that front. Not a great spot for a romantic dinner, but perfectly adequate for a nice lunch. To summarize — 1. Get the bento box. The salad dressing is delicious and the food is plentiful. 2. Go in for lunch, not dinner. 3. Don’t expect anything fancy or a lot of people to be there. But service is generally fast and good.

Stopped by here on a whim today — it looked inviting and people were eating inside so we thought we’d give it a shot. The service was very friendly, the lady who took our order was nice and gave me a free refill of my tea even though she wasn’t required to. That’s about where the good ends. Unfortunately, this food doesn’t really live up to much. I’m no expert on cooking Asian dishes but I have had my fair share of really nice Asian-inspired and authentic Asian food. These dishes came nowhere close to any of that. My boyfriend got the Thai Basil Bowl which was basically some ground beef on top of white rice, with tiny chopped up peppers. It looked and tasted like fancy hamburger helper. I got the Drunken Noodles, which were super salty soy-sauce noodles with some chicken and barely any veggies. The worst part about the experience? I’ve never smelled something so foul in my life until I entered the bathroom. I don’t know if a pipe burst or what but I couldn’t step in to wash my hands, it was that bad.

Never EVER eating here again. Ordered two things to split with my mom for a light lunch. We got the chicken and lettuce wraps and simple chicken pad thai. The chicken wrap had no flavor but the pad thai was where my problem lied. First off I asked for it to be not spicy and the sever told me they had change the recipe and it was no longer spicy. When it came out it smelled delicious until I took a bite. Not only was it spicy but it tasted like Dawn dish soap. Like EXACTLY like soap ewww. I’m not sure if someone just didn’t wash the dish properly but it was disgusting. Wont be going back, not even worth the bother.

Recently moved offices to Burlington, right across from the wayside plaza. Was planning on having lunch at Fresh City, but they had recently moved out. So next to them was Ginger Pad and we decided to give it a try. I like that they have their large menu at the window so you can see their selection and prices. We were greeted right when we walked in and immediately seated in a comfortable booth. I ordered the pad thai with shrimp and my friend ordered the orange chicken. My dish came out hot so I know they had just finish cooking it. Flavors were spot on and had more shrimp than I expected. Good size portion, I’m full as I write this. While I didn’t try the orange chicken, he said it was also quite good. I was surprised to find all the negative reviews on here. It’s funny when people complain that the menu is too big or they don’t know how to open a door. Critique the food people and not your inability to find a way into a building. I’ll be going back again.

Casual lunch hangout place. My company is right across the street so Ginger Pad is usually one of the first choices when we have team lunches. This is an Asian fusion restaurant, there is little effort for anything authentic. The sashimi/sushi is extremely expensive compare to its quality. The hot and sour soup is salty. The Asian dishes are so-so, it’s really just combination of vegetables with meat along with a variety of stir-fry sauce. This is an okay place for grabbing a quick casual lunch with coworkers but nothing impressive. H-mart is definitely a better alternative for better tasting Asian food at similar prices but perhaps not as appropriate in business settings.

Here’s your Ginger Pad survival guide for anyone who’s planning on dining here. The menu is an intro to Asian cuisine with plate from China, Japan and South East Asia. When a place has no direct specialty, it’s hard to find a star dish that’ll have you coming back for more. Unfortunately the GP has this problem. The noodle bowls are a great value, and you’re best bet for a dining option. If you do dine in, here are some tips. Check the sauce sauce container on the table carefully, or better yet ask for a fresh container. As the warmer months arrive, so do a swarm of fruit flies who love the salty goodness of soy. The flies came as early as March this year, with no clear solution in fixing the problem. Perhaps, they’ll figure out a solution, but take one look around the beer tap(give it a little tap!) and you’ll typically see a swarm of them. The soy sauce container’s spout is big enough for the flies to fly into and drown. If you’re lucky, when you pour your soy into your little container a fly will come out, because even if it doesn’t, it’s probably in there anyway. Check out the glassware carefully that’s served. The dishwasher isn’t always the most reliable machine, and since the glassware is washed in the same washer as the plates, they tend to not be as squeaky clean as you’d hope. Oh, if it’s not for the fruit flies, you should just ask for real soy sauce anyway. The ones that are on the table have been watered down in order to save money. If you’ve been here you may have even asked someone why the soy sauce is so light, and gotten the«low sodium/house blend» answer. The secret ingredient is water! Make sure you go up to the sushi bar to inspect the fish before you order. While I’m sure the tuna bought was frozen at peak freshness, by the time they thaw it out, and prepare it to be served, it’s not always looking so wonderful. The food at GP can be good. The noodle bowls are an excellent value and tend to be ready in just a flash. The sushi can taste just fine. All of that is negated though by an infestation of fruit flies.

This thai and sushi restaurant has a strong feel for a chain restaurant from the pictures on the menu to the set up to the generic taste. The food is ok and will meet your appetite needs but you will not walk away feeling it was the best or even fifth best thai you have had. The prices are great thought. 7.99 for chicken pad thai or Japanaese Udon Noodles. Prices go up to 16.99 but that includes a box dinner with sushi, dinner, salad and appetizer. If you need a quick fix or a few drinks(full service bar), this will work for you.
