This review actually refers to the new Burlington location in Wayside Commons(Talbot’s moved there from the mall in January 2015). What can I say other than I think I found«my» store — a place where I can find age-appropriate clothes for work as well as more casual items. And by that I mean, something a 40+ woman can wear without looking frumpy. The sales associates were all very nice and helpful, without being too sales-y. There’s a good selection for petites and plus as well. If you’re put off by the pricing(which is higher than the average women’s mall store), there are frequent sales… but rest assured that what you pay is worth it for clothing that is well made and flattering,

Talbots is one of the clothiers I rely on to get me into the office draped pleasantly and comfortably. I am a big fan of their slacks. There are different cuts for different shapes. I also want to give a shout out to their shoes. They are good stylish shoes and I am always able to get what I want in Wide. They don’t normally stock shoes in wide at the stores, however its very simple to use their Red phone(all the stores have one) which automatically calls up a wonderful service person who will take your order and ship the item(s) to your house for free. I found the staff at at every location I’ve visited to be warm, courteous and helpful.

Shopping for clothes is generally something I despise. I feel like everything I try on looks terrible and I rarely am impressed with the staff. I recently visited Talbots in the Burlington Mall and was very happy with the results. The prices were in line with the Gap and Banana Republic but the quality was WORLDS better. Also, the sales associates were beyond helpful and you could tell that they had been in the business for awhile unlike the highschool/college kids that work in most stores.
