Unless you have a southern facing roof with perfect pitch and no trees, I would avoid the big companies of Solar City and Veridian. We started with the big companies but were rejected due to less than ideal setup. We have an east facing roof with low pitch. Revolusun was more than willing to take on our roof, explained things easily and came prepared with samples and a well prepared overview of the system and options. Revolusun was very quick to respond to questions and kept us in the loop during the entire process.
The only negatives and why I didn’t give them 5 stars were some scheduling issues with the electric team and delay registering our system for SREC credits. Hopefully this is just growing pains that they will soon resolve. Definitely recommend them.

We were told we could not have solar panels on our house because of the roof lines. Revolusun came up with a plan and made it work! High quality workmanship and product made it all possible. We are very pleased with the entire process with RevoluSun. I had done quite a bit of research and determined the best return would be to purchase, not one of the plans to «rent your roof.»
Year on year without and then with solar my electric bill went from $ 2197 to $ 388. The tax credits were about $ 15,000 and so far the SEREC payments are $ 2056. It’s almost ½ paid for in a little over a year. The payback was a lot better than what the bank was giving me. A couple of acquaintances who decided to go no investment «roof rent» are not that happy. They say they are not saving as much as they were led to believe. They said, «We are saving some, which is good but wished we had done what you did.»

Avoid them at all costs…
I contacted them back in February. After a few emails back and forth, they said they would call me the following Monday and never heard back. Emailed them three times. Finally, someone called me, apologizing for dropping the ball.
Then we set up an appt. He was supposed to email me to confirm. Never heard from him, had to email yet again.
I left work early to make it home in time. Sitting there waiting for him, I look at the phone and see he called 25 minutes before our appt time and left a message saying he felt that we were not a good candidate for solar, due to the trees and blah blah blah.
Then he asked for a referral. A referral for what? Being unprofessional and not following through? Ok, you got my referral on that.
Had he taken the time to stay and meet with me, he would have learned that we were cutting down all the trees around our property, which would have given the house more sun exposure. Their competitor, RGS, came out, stuck to their appt times, and have earned our business.

My wife and I looked at multiple companies when exploring solar and ended up choosing RevoluSun as our installer.
They explained the programs available to us and easily navigated us through the incentives from the state and federal government.
The other companies we spoke with pushed a lease product on us heavily and tried to scare us out of owning the system ourselves. They said the incentives from the utility company were volatile, however they seemed eager to take them on their end which didn’t make sense to us.
In the end we are happy with our decision to purchase, however RevoluSun did offer both lease and purchase. Our system just went live this week (3 weeks ahead of schedule) and we look forward to seeing how the system works. So far so good though!
