Had a TERRIBLE experience here(involving actual tears) a couple years ago but someone told me there were new owners there so I popped in right before closing on a saturday and asked if they had time for a quick brow and lip wax. They appeared quite busy but the girl was very friendly and immediately took me back to the wax room, five minutes later I walked out with the best looking brow wax I’ve hag in a long time! Lip and brow wax was only $ 17 total.

Came in on 4th of July around 11am for a leg wax + mani + pedi. That’s a lot of money to be throwing down on a place I’ve never been before! I walk in, there are no other clients, and there were 2 employees working. I walk up to a woman and say hello, and she unhappily asks if she can help me. Not wanting to have my mood ruined, I ignored her lack of enthusiasm and tell her what I want. We go do the waxing first, and I notice right away that there is a dip stick already in the wax(UNSANITARY!). However, I was on vacation and just decided to let it go. Then she put newspaper under my legs. I’ve never had anyone put newspaper under my legs for a waxing, so that was a first. I had a cup of coffee in my hand and she didn’t offer to take it, so I had to lay with it on my tummy the whole time. Then when she waxed, it was one of the most painful experiences ever. It seemed like she was trying to conserve wax strips so she kept using the same one over and over. This caused the wax strips to become increasingly hard to rip off. At one point I Unilocaled, and she was like, does it hurt? Um, no, I just like to Unilocal?! The waxing took so long, I was in a whole world of hurt so I decided to skip the mani pedi, save myself a few bucks and a ruined afternoon, and do my nails myself. DONOTRECOMMENDATALL! Then the owner was muttering under his breath, how come no nails? And the lady said, no time, no time. I mean seriously, if you treat your customers this way, why would they come back?!

I would not recommend this nail salon! Horrible customer service. I stopped by on a saturday afternoon. It didn’t look busy at all. The man who owns the salon told me he could fit my friend and I in for pedicures. We waited with our nail polish in hand for about 15 mins. He sat us in spa chairs that were almost broken. He turned them on for us and said not to touch anything. By the sounds it from the other women in the spa, they were all pretty much busted. He then let us sit with our feet soaked for half and hour then proceeded to help another customer with a manicure. We asked him how much longer and he shrugged and said maybe another half an hour. He had another lady there as well working for him. There were only 3 other people there so I didn’t anticipate that long of a wait since they looked pretty much done. We told him we couldn’t wait that long and he didn’t care. No apologies, no attempts to fit us in, no nothing. Not a good experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been here 4 to 6 times over the last 18mos. since I’ve developed a love for shellac manicures. I’ve probably been completely happy once, and I’m very forgiving. The other times I’ve been slightly annoyed or worse. The first time, and my first shellac, I didn’t really know how it worked, so I didn’t know that the UV machine was supposed to emit light. When she pulled my hand out and the polish wiped right off, we were both surprised. Other times, the quality just wasn’t there-peeling within days(shellacs are supposed to last weeks), varying coats of the polish where some are dark and some are still transparent, nails all different shapes or lengths, old green polish bits still showing on under the new french manicure. I think the most frustrating part is the language barrier. Most places usually have at least one person who’s somewhat conversational, but I haven’t seen that here. Once, I asked for«toes painted»(just polish, no scraping, massage, etc) and ended up with a full pedicure — which are, well, icky to me. When they soaked my feet, I thought it was just to let me pass time till someone was ready. Duh. Next, asked for rounded nail edges, pointed at one finger and said«like this» and still got sharp points. Today I asked for a pink base with white tips. I got pink tips. Two nails in, I asked about the white and she tried to say I chose pink. I tried again to point at my nail beds and said, this pink, and tips white. She put the pink away and I still walked out with just white tips. All that after cutting me with the cuticle scissors. Good thing another reviewer indicated that my blood will be washed off the tools. eeeww. I give up. The budget’s too tight to waste it on disappointment. Moving on to a different place. I can say that it’s never a super long wait to get service because they’re not that busy. I wonder why. ;)

My sister and I wanted to get our nails done for my birthday. We weren’t sure where to go and thought we’d give the mall a shot. Because the shop was clean and well-represented, my sister and I chose LV Nails. We’re glad we did. They used clean tools that were sealed after being autoclaved, on each of us. The chairs were clean and there was no oily feel at the bottom of the foot bowl as there sometimes is at certain places. We got the luxury package and got the hot stone massage and paraffin wax treatment also and it was so pleasant. Also, they had a chick flick playing on the tv so we were entertained. Our nails came out nice and our feet quite pampered. The price was very reasonable. We intend on coming back. I didn’t give them five stars yet. I’m still new at the nail experience so I don’t haven enough of a reference to know if 5 should be awarded. They got four stars because they were very clean, hospitable, did a great job pampering and our nails came out nice.
