AWEFUL. Went because we had a groupon. Big Mistake. Shakes were OK, I had better. Burgers were aweful. Buns had an odd texture to them I couldn’t really eat it. Could have more cheese on it. Fries and rings were their only saving grace. overpriced. would have been better not to use the groupon and lost the money I paid on it, then having to pay more for the aweful meals we got. service OK not the cleanest looking place. NEVERGOINGBACK I would have preferred McDonalds

We ate dinner here recently as we’ve had good experience with this chain. The service was very good and the food met my expectations. We were initially confused about having to seat ourselves though.

We took our son here for his first visit. It’s such a fun & family friendly place. I will say the prices are outrageous. With everything being a la carte, you’d feel if you were dining at a high end steak place. I wish the juke boxes were still functioning. This is once in a blue moon type of splurge.

Very bad quality burgers for the price. Beef patty stinks. The burger is very dry. Strongly suggest not to go here. You can have much better burgers for the same price.

Trying to come across as a classic burger joint would be an easier task if they didn’t charge $ 17 for a burger, fries, and soda. It was… Ok. For the burger, it’s about as good as Five Guys but the fries were«meh» at best. The staff? Friendly and attentive as one could hope. Mainly because they know they need to overcome the mediocre fare in hopes of getting a decent tip. Basically all they have going for them is «better than the food court» and«cheaper than Legal or the Cheesecake Factory»

If we are in the mall, this is usually the place everyone can agree on going to — burgers, shakes, fries, onion rings. What could be wrong — nothing. The burgers are ok but I have had better. I like the onion rings over the fries but the real star here is the shakes. They are more than big enough to share with someone else and I don’t think my kids have ever not taken the extra shake home. My vegetarian children have gotten the grilled cheese and vegetarian burgers and they like them enough to order them every time they go in. I have tried other items like tuna melt and the BLT. Of the two, I prefer the BLT — they make pretty darn good here. The people who work here and super nice and very efficient and fast.

Too expensive for no reason whatsoever… bacon cheese fries were good size but very dry bacon, burgers were small and ugly looking! They will see me again in the red May…

Was at the mall and stopped in for burgers. Not a good grownup burger. Better than a fast food one though. Place is very clean with a good staff. Food is made to order. Daughter got the chocolate shake. It was very good. A good place to take the kids.

We literally asked 4 times to get 2 waters. The waiter kept forgetting. Fries came out cold and soggy since it took 30 minutes to get them. I bet they were sitting out for awhile. Burger was really good tho

Served us burnt chili on our chili fries. That was a big disappointment. I couldn’t believe they would serve it that way. My daughter ordered the chicken fingers but didn’t finish hardly any because the batter was so thick and crunchy that it was not appetizing. I had the smokehouse burger, which was not bad except that it needed a bigger bun. The burger was falling apart and it was hard to finish it without getting it all over the place.

This is a great sit down place for classic, greasy fast food. The place could use a refresh, but overall, I’d rather eat here than the hipster burger joint at the other end of the mall.

(Went on 15MAR2015) It took a while for our server to come over. The restaurant was drafty and we had asked for them to close the door since it was snowing outside. The server kindly closed the door. I got home and a several hours later I started throwing up and found out I had food poisoning. My husband ate there too and is fine. Maybe it was just my burger because we shared fries and a milkshake. I ordered the«Houston» and was falling apart when I got it(even though it was neatly wrapped in paper). (Recent update as of 25MAR2015) The management personnel contacted me shortly after our visit and apologized. They provided us with great hospitality. I would give the mgt a high rating if I could rate them separately.

First of all, our server literally did everything in slow motion. He came over after 10 minutes even after we saw people get seated after us they still got their order taken before we even got our drinks. Second of all, the chicken fingers were barely edible. They were hard as a rock and the batter on them was so thick it was very hard to eat. My mom’s burger wasn’t that great either, I wouldn’t ever go back and I’ve been to other Johnny rockets but I wouldn’t bother with this one. I saw almost everyone just sitting around doing nothing

Yum yum yum. Chili cheese fries and burgers. Love the simplicity and old styled burger theme. Hasn’t changed much in decades. Great service and love how it take s you right back to the 1950s and so reasonably priced.

It’s okay. The veggie burger is edible BUT it’s boxed and I could make it at home for way cheaper! My husband got fries and rings that were cold. He said his burger was good though… So there’s that I guess. But really we spent 30 including tip for 2 burgers, 1 side of ½ fries ½ rings, a diet coke and a shake and neither of us were excited about any of it, I’d have rather gone to the grocery store and made lunch and had money for a manicure

Haters gonna hate. I read some reviews on this place and boy were they negative! This place is much better than mcdonalds or burger king because everything is actually cooked on a grill and not microwaved. Johnny Rockets does a good job with service, cleanliness and food quality. They fit the image of an 80s diner, except, sadly enough, their juke boxes on each table don’t work… It was really cute to see how every table had a small vase with a carnation and some other sprigs of green and white. But I digress from the main point of being there. The cheeseburlgers. I got a bacon cheddar single and my b got a smoke house double. We also got a side of half onion rings and half fries. Both burgers were juicy, the bacon was cooked sunny side up or something because not only were they crispy, but also chewy. I couldn’t taste their special sauce since there was so little, but I enjoyed the burger a lot. The fries came with a small bowl with a smiley ketchup face, which was cute. They were mediocre, the sour dough batter on the onion rings was pretty good but I prefer much larger cute onion rings. All in all, bill came to about $ 22 bucks including tip, so it wasn’t too bad.

You know. I went late, close to closing and they still gave me the time of day. That was a plus. Good shakes another plus. Decent burgers, another plus. Food was decent and staff was pleasant.

Was at the Burlington mall visiting the Apple Store for a much needed computer fix. While waiting for a reinstall of some original software(don’t ask) I went to JR’s. Walked right in and sat at the counter. Ordered the original burger, fries and a shake. I like that they use meatball looking hamburg as opposed to pre formed hockey pucks. There was a big order put on the grill ahead of mine so my medium got forgotten and turned into a well done. Oh well. I wish they had different size orders of fries. Marketing ploy? Hmm… I didn’t want so much and only ate half. Plus they gave me my fries before I got my burger. ?? Shake was kinda gooey with small ice chunks instead of being creamy. If it were fast food for $ 8 I would of said No big deal. It’s suppose to be better than Mickey Dees right? Plus it cost me over $ 15 without tip. Not impressed but at that moment I was starving…
