Service was good and the food was amazing! The pancakes are best I’ve had in my life! The grits were bland and I’m not a fan at all! The country store was super cool! I found gifts to take back to my best friends. Gifts such as candy from the 80’s and candy from the 60’s for my mom. Good location and plenty of parking!

Service is extremely slow and food is hit or miss even when it is slow, on a weekday, at midmorning. $ 1.19 for a tiny bit of cheese in overcooked scrambled eggs is a bit much. My sirloin could have stopped high caliber bullets. The biscuits were good though.

Eating in: 5 stars: Always have great customer service. Not a waiter yet has given me a stank face when I give my ridiculous order. Always good with getting the order correct. They do not provide enough bread at times but are good at bringing out more when asked. I have gone twice recently where they didn’t have bread prepared at the time. That was a let down. Take out: 1 star: Don’t do it. I have done take out from this location many times hoping something would change and it hasn’t. I have NEVER ordered take out without something going wrong. They take forever. Many times I have gone and waited 20 – 30 mins for my order when it had been in the back the whole time under a heat lamp. Manager service was good one time with giving me a free meal, only after I had waited 40 mins and my food was cold when I got home. Do not do it.

Terrible service. Sat with my family for more than 20 minutes without so much as being approached by a server for a drink order. We were flat out ignored by several servers. Asked the hostess TWICE if we would be served to which she rudely snapped«you haven’t been waiting THAT long!» I’d say 20 – 30 minutes is THAT long. When we finally got up to leave, were lazily and pathetically approached by a manager who asked us to sit back down. We declined and went across to another restaurant. Absolutely PATHETIC service. Absolutely will not return.

Cracker Barrel in Burlington on Huffman Mill Road has delicious food. Rena is a super server. She doesn’t take an order and then forget her customers. Glasses are always refilled, she always makes sure that we are satisfied. It’s a shame that she isn’t the one who trains the servers.

We’ve always been regulars but lately, things are not up to par. I got my salad after I finished my meal this past time. They seem to run out of things or just forget to bring them to the table. Hard to get refills on things. I’ve had two waitresses mess up my order in the last month. Not sure what’s going on. They used to be on the ball.

I normally have good breakfasts here, but my recent visit I had the Country Boy with steak. The steak was cooked to medium rare as I requested, but I could only eat ¼ of it. It was like eating a piece of shoe leather. Each byte took minutes of chewing. Literally wore out my jaw. Please tenderize your steaks!

This location is what you’d expect from any roadside Cracker Barrel. Long lines on Sunday’s and a gift shop over crowded with trinkets. I was impressed with their efforts to offer fruit and egg beaters for a more healthy option. I was disappointed to find so much merchandise in the gift shop, that you have no option to avoid, that I felt was a trip hazard and extremely difficult to maneuver and child stroller. This location offered fast and friendly service, and the quality of food seem to be consistent with what their brand is known for.

I don’t know what it is about Cracker Barrel, but I love it! They have a great selection and I really enjoy the old country store aspect of it. My family and I have been meeting here in the middle for a while now(Lexington/Raleigh — this Burlington location is close to the middle) and we always enjoy our meals! Good service as well and relaxing in the rocking chairs is fun. :D

It’s a great Cracker Barrel, I am a regular at this location. Ask for Tabbatha, she is the best, cause the waiting staff is kind of hit or miss! Love the broccoli cheddar chicken on Wednesday nights but they never make enough! They run out around 6:00! This is ridiculous, this happens almost every Wednesday! The cooks need to make more if it!

Hair in my food, slimy scrambled eggs, and raw catfish. What else is there to say.

This place is a fun, casual place for lunch or dinner as entrees are affordable(less than $ 10). What makes this place fun is the store full of vintage candies and souvenir items, the vintage décor in the restaurant, and the big checkers tables throughout the vicinity. I also thought the line of rocking chairs outside were a cool addition. Oh and how could I forget, there’s also that triangle peg board game at each table! It’ll be sure to keep you occupied while you wait. I consider the food here to be casual in a good way. It’s straightforward southern food. You get what’s spelled out for you on the menu. There’s tons to choose from and if you’re still not satisfied, you can build your own entrée plate for a little less than $ 8. That’s what I did. I got a lemon pepper trout fillet with two sides, turnip greens and cheese grits. I enjoyed my dinner as it was relatively healthy eating and simple.

Arrived just before our friends, my elderly mother was tired and exhausted but even though they had several empty tables it was«against their policy«to seat us. They seated others and then we had to wait 20 minutes after our friends arrived to eat lunch. Thanks for all the flexibility! Food over cooked and over salted, last time there!

Every time I got to Cracker Barrel, it brings back wonderful memories of my grandparents. From the old farm tools hanging on the wall to the chicken and dumplings on my plate. The food is always great and the nostalgia makes it even better. The old country candies, soft drinks, and toys I had as a kid growing up on the farm. When I eat at Cracker Barrel, it’s like going home again. Thank you!

Fantastic breakfast. Staff was very friendly, my cup nearly runneth over with coffee. I got the pecan pancakes which were absolutely the best pancakes I have ever had. This is my second time eating at this Cracker Barrel on my travels and I have to say I will eat here again.

A perfect Cracker Barrel that is exactly like every other. On one side, a store full of trinkets. I can’t believe people buy this stuff, but apparently they do. On the other side, a southern style restaurant. If you’re looking for grits, this is the place for you! I popped in for a late breakfast and even though it was busy, my server was friendly and the food was brought out very quickly. Exactly as I ordered it, decent sized portions and lots of coffee. No wi-fi and I could only get a 2G signal on my phone.

On our way up to VA for Christmas and we decided to stop in for a «quick» stop at CB. Unfortunately I think everyone had just rolled out of bed and decided to go to CB that morning(Christmas EVE morning) so we ended up waiting a long time for a table in a really crowded and uncomfortable CB store in the front. What was supposed to be a quick 30 – 45 min breakfast turned out to be a 2hr brunch… ARGH — we almost walked out. I did save a star for the service once we sat down though. Even though they called our names, we still managed to wait another 5 – 10 minutes right at the front with people being seated before us. Talk about lack of organization.

A very nice place, located right off the interstate on exit 141, this Cracker Barrel is always hopping, and with good reason. The food reminds me of the days the way«mom used to cook ‘em», from the chicken fried steak, to the meat loaf to the chicken dumplings, there isn’t a bad choice on the menu. Also you can get breakfast at just about any time. The store inside has lots of items for sale for that hard to find birthday or Christmas gift, and of course, the rocking chairs outside are comfy while you wait, which you probably will have to, since it’s so popular.

No sure why the name of this place makes me giggle, but it does. Oh well, for what it is, it is goooooood. Comfort food that is consistent and an atmosphere that is so schmaltzy it is comforting. Definitely worth a stop.
