Try the cheese spreads! Staff was very friendly and helpful when I went last for a wine tasting. They have great specials each day!

Great place to get a glass of wine or beer. They have $ 5 wine and $ 2 beer specials every day. If nice out sit outside in the back. This is not a place to have dinner as it’s mostly snacks to have with your drinks. It can be understaffed but same time they are not trying to bother you while you enjoy your wine.

This place is fun. The wine selection is solid. Good place to «wined» down after a long work week. They also have a decent selection of draft beers.

I really do enjoy this place. ALL of the staff are helpful and friendly. Michelle makes a point of carrying wines you won’t get other places. If you want local, go to the local winery. if you want cheap, go to Wal-Mart. If you want interesting imports offered by knowledgeable enophiles, come here.

I followed numerous reviews and decided to make a late night date for my wife and I after work. I found the atmosphere warm and inviting. Seating was comfortable and fitting after a long day. The staff is warm and friendly. I enjoyed the simplicity of the menu just the right amount of selections. I do think it could benefit by regrouping some of the menu. I will return to this quaint place.

This place is a wonderful, super cute wine bar with a fabulous patio nestled in Alamance crossing mall. My fur baby and I came here spontaneously after reading some good reviews for a bite to eat. Not only were they more than nice about my dog on the patio, they even brought him a bowl of water and some dog bones. They have an extensive wine selection, and even some flights. They also have bottled beer for non wine drinkers. The food all sounded really good, but I just had a small cheese platter called the stray and added prosciutto. The fruit was very fresh, and the cheese and prosciutto were delicious. Next time I’ll get the warm fig salad– it sounded so good! The woman working was incredibly sweet and attentive, but not overbearing. The patio is on the back side of the restaurant, so it faces a lot of vegetation and a large fountain, which makes it really pleasant. This would be a great place to hang out with friends, and I did see a happy hour Wednesday and Thursday’s from 4 – 7. I would definitely recommend this and I will definitely be back!

Great staff. Excellent service. Best crab cakes made by Nicole for the Sunday«Brunchette». Wine and beer select is the best I have come across in Burlington. Staff is very knowledgeable in helping to pick out a wine to enjoy on the patio.

I had a fun night out with a friend centered around the wine and cheese tasting. It did get a little crowded for a small place. We didn’t have trouble with service perhaps because we had seats at the bar but I could see how others may have wrestled with this some. The cheeses were great. The wine was very good. And unexpectedly, we had a couple artisanal beers that were delicious. Given Burlington’s lack of privately owned restaurants(vs chains) I fully support a quality establishment like C & C and clamor for more creative, homegrown venues.

Great variety of wines and nice atmosphere. The service can be slow. Especially if you’re not one of the regulars. Food is so so.

This is what Burlington has been needing. Visited with a few girlfriends and we shared the cheese platter. All cheeses were DELICIOUS, service was excellent, and the prices weren’t bad. So excited to have a place like Cork and Cow in Burlington!

Cute place, the staff is nice and friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. They have wine and beer tastings weekly. But no local wines hope that changes

Potential, but with issues!!! Having just moved to Burlington we were excited to see this place on Unilocal. At first, I was impressed by the selection on offer, including some gems I’ve not seen elsewhere in NC. But what a letdown. I didn’t mind the paper plates that others complained about so much — its not going to change the quality of the cold cuts and cheese. My issues are that the(rather uninterested) staff don’t know much about wines(you’re on your own when picking), you don’t get any neutralizing crackers with tastings, they serve in sparkling wine glasses(so forget about a wine’s nose), and the owners don’t know how to store wines(quite a few tasting wines were oxidized; who knows whats going on with the dried corks of the unopened bottles stored upright). Sure there’s wine. But as it stands now, you’re better off popping over to the Harris Teeter, at least until the owners realize there’s a difference between liking wines, and managing a wine room. This place could be much better with relatively small but OBVIOUS improvements.

Still enjoy this little wine bar but have been disappointed in how they serve their food. I just don’t get the use of paper plates, am I at a backyard BBQ or a wine bar? It cheapens the entire experience for me :(

Avoid this place. Understaffed. «Gourmet» grilled cheese is served on a paper plate. The«garnish of chips and fruit» was 3 mushy raspberries and some sort of cheap bagged fries snack from a bag. Waited 10 minutes to get a napkin from my server. Bar stools are entirely too short for the bar which creates a difficult dining experience. Extremely loud when the restaurant is full. The server checked on me once during my entire meal. My credit card sat on my table for 8 minutes before anyone even noticed it and asked if I wanted to cash out. Will never come back.

Great wine and beer selection. The food, tapas style, was great. We sat outside and it was lovely. My husband and I will be back again. We are from Chicago so we consider ourselves«foodies» and we loved this place.

Great concept! It’s basically a wine bar and retail wine store combined. Excellent wine selection, great tapas style appetizers and generally a cool place to hang out. You can walk in and buy your wine at reasonable retail pricing and take it to go. However, if you wish to enjoy your wine there it’s only a $ 5 corkage fee, which is considerably less expensive than a typical bar/restaurant mark up. I cannot stress enough the quality of selection. This is not grocery store wine. Nothing like this in Burlington. I highly recommend Cork & Cow.
