Apartment was okay during occupation, if you exclude the fact of thin walls and loud yippie dogs. They are accepting of dogs but other tenants are not. The walls are thinner than most apartments you will find. Our neighbor above us had allergies and we could communicate both ways without ever leaving our homes, so that’s good I guess. The only major issue we had was trying to get the security deposit back. They labeled their rampant black mold problem as «candle smoke residue» upon checkout. So they had to repaint the whole place. Even though bi-weekly, we moved everything away from the walls to scrub them down, it wasn’t enough to keep away the black shadow that would form on the walls. — We also had a service dog in training living with us for all of 1 day a week. The rest of the time he would stay at our other location for training purposes. They marked the apartment as «smelling of dog urine» The reason for two stars is that most people expect apartments to be kind of loud and a little too crowded with a shrewd apartment manager, however this wasn’t the case while we were living there. It was loud but the neighbors were cooperative when confronted. It was crowded but those around us were at least friendly. And Joanna(the manager) was nice to our face… Just not when we were no longer tenants. So just take very very detailed notes and pictures moving in and moving out, if you ever want to see your deposit again. And also find something to fight mold, that stuff when left alone could eat your dog!
