Horrible experience! I brought my toy poodle there 1 year ago and I never give them a 2^nd chance. My toy poodle had been potty trained but she was pee on carpet many times in the week after grooming! It took more than a week for her to get back to normal!

Evelyn and her team are excellent groomers who take very good care of their furry clients. When my wife and I lived in Burlingame, we brought our dog Chewy to Evelyn and her team. Chewy was a rescue dog who had severe chronic renal failure; the veterinarian gave Chewy a few months to live. We still wanted the best care for him, so part of this process was to groom him. This required special care, since Chewy had terribly bad breath (from the CRF) and would frequently vomit and urinate. None of this was a problem for Evelyn. Chewy ended up living almost 3 years, and despite moving to Fremont, we brought him back to Evelyn since she knew him and developed such a wonderful relationship with him. He has since passed away, but we are grateful for this establishment. Thank you, Evelyn. Highly recommended.

My dog is a shelter rescue who often gets incredibly anxious when kenneled (to the point of throwing up on himself). So the first time I stopped into this groomers, I asked if they crate their dogs. She said yes, so we were about to go elsewhere. As I was walking out the door, the woman said «Wait, we can make sure not to kennel him if you want.» We agreed, and when we picked up Teddy, he looked really fantastic. I did see them take him out of a crate, though, and mentioned this to the staff since I thought perhaps someone made a mistake. Teddy was skiddish and sick all evening, but we decided to go back since the groom looked so nice.
The next time I dropped him off, I reminded the woman that she agreed not to crate him. She said «Of course! No problem.» Yet when I picked him up, I clearly saw the girl in the back take him out of a crate. I confronted the woman at the front desk about it, and she denied it! I told her I just saw it with my own eyes, and she tried to feed me some nonsense about how he was only in there for a little while. I paid, told her we wouldn’t be back and walked out. A few minutes later, I received a phone call where the woman berated me for leaving in such a huff, and lectured me on how it really wasn’t a big deal to crate him. Sure enough, when I got home Teddy was sick again.
Of course, a dog being crated is not the end of the world, but I prefer to take my business somewhere that won’t lie to my face repeatedly. 2 stars for the groom job, which was really great. Shame about the customer service.

I’ve been taking my precious pooch here for years. They always do a great job with my little Tucker and they do it quickly. I highly recommend them for furry loved ones!

I brought my dog to Pawsitively Groomed after a recommendation and I’m happy she recommended it. I was taken in last minute — thankfully and don’t expect this to happen every time — but it was really nice. I was taken care of like I’d been a customer for years. I noticed that day that they groomed a lot of little white dogs. Perfection for me because I have a little white dog. They did an amazing job and I can’t wait to make his next appointment. :) Happy campers over here.

They did an outstanding job with my 2 westies — even the difficult one! They look the best they have ever looked after being groomed.

Evelyn did an amazing job on the two rescued dogs I’m fostering. They look so cute now, somebody is sure to adopt these babies in no time!
Gizmo, a lhasa apso, came in looking as if he hadn’t seen a bath or a brush in months, scruffy, matted, and full of foxtails. He was a difficult client, to say the least, and the mats were so close to the skin that he had to be shaved down in places, but Evelyn still managed to leave him looking very handsome. Cher, a senior toy poodle, got an adorable kennel cut that makes her look years younger.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Evelyn for at least 10 years now. She cut my (now passed away) dog’s hair for almost his entire life and I trust her 100% with my new pup. She now has assistants helping her and my dog has been groomed by both Evelyn and her assistants. To tell you the truth I can’t tell the difference… as long as Huey is clean and safe I’m fine with it! I know my doggy is always in good hands at Pawsitively Groomed. Thanks Evelyn!

Had a bad experience. Brought my beautiful Havanese in and went over the cut came back to find her completely shaved. The owner was nervous when she saw me and I thought at first how cute but then got her home and realized how bad it was. My family can’t believe I paid so much money for such a bad job. Live and learn and to think I was referred!

Excellent! Just moved to the area and our long haired doxy needed major grooming help. Our new backyard has some wild wooded areas and his ears, tail and much of his long fur was getting covered in nasty little burrs and hitchhikers. I left a message last night and Evelyn returned my call in this morning and had me bring him right in. Less than 2 hours later he was ready for me. Clipped down to a cute and short «summer cut». Smelling so good with a little blue bandana around his neck. Pricing was medium to high but worth it for the great quick service and convenience. Cash or check only.

I had been happy in the past with Evelyn and Pawsitively Groomed,
but the other day when I took my golden in to get a puppy cut, as I have in the past, she came back without whiskers. They had also trimmed her eyelashes, and she had some swelling around her eyebrows.
Evelyn wasn’t the one who trimmed her. There was a guy there that I had never seen.
Dogs use their whiskers for scent, so this was a bad call.
I did call to complain but not much was done about it.
As I said, this hadn’t happened before and I have been a loyal customer for years, but I was surprised that Evelyn wasn’t concerned that a loyal customer had a complaint.

Evelyn has been the groomer to my current Westie and and the one before. She does the «puppy cut» perfectly! I am happy with her service and the only reason why I am taking a star off is because she is sooo difficult to book. I always have to book a week or two in advance. Other than that, she is a great groomer who cares about our dogs!

I have been living in the Bay Area for 22 years now… I have always had a dog… been to many different groomers… Evelyn at Pawsitively Groomed is THE best… top of the Line! I am so glad I found her! You really know she LOVES what she does and her heart and soul are in her shop. My dog is not easy… Evelyn is one of only 2 people that can touch his paws… or ears… or mouth, etc. etc. Get the picture? The only other person is his pet dermatologist. I do not know what I would do without Evelyn. She is quite reasonably priced. And has great hours. Also, I love that the dogs are in the back — unlike other groomers where the dogs are all in cages right in front — and stress out because customers are in and out… and lots of noise. When I pick up my dog, he is calm… and gorgeous!

This is by far the BEST groomer I have ever encountered! Evelyn is so sweet to my dog.
Even though I live in Hayward, and it is kind of a drive to take her out there, I don’t mind making the commute, because I know my baby is in good hands. She is so gentle with them and my dog isn’t scared like she was when I would take her to other groomers.
Evelyn also makes you feel very welcome and more like a friend than a customer. She also does a really good job and tries to work with your schedule.
I will never take my dog anywhere else! Thanks Evelyn!

This is the only place that I would take my dog. Evelyn is the most caring groomer that I have ever had work on my dog. If you look up TLC (tender loving care) in the dictionary, there is a picture of Evelyn! Not only does she care for the dogs she grooms, it really shows that she loves the dogs and what she is doing. My dog gets excited when she hears that she is going to Evelyn’s and waits by the door. On top of all this, my dog looks great EVERYTIME she is done by Evelyn. Evelyn is a groomer that all other groomers should be compared to.

I’ve been taking my dog Jackson to Evelyn for over 7 years — even though I’ve moved to San Francisco, and then Oakland. Evelyn really cares about her clients (both canine and human). She calls me on my cell to let me know when exactly she’s going to be done with Jackson, and whenever I pick him up he looks great! Her rates are very reasonable too.
