I love Pragati! I came in as a first time customer because I found them on Groupon and the reviews seemed great. She’s friendly and easy to connect with. I’m now a loyal customer and won’t be letting my hair into the hands of anyone other than her :)

Pragati is a wonderful hairstylist, and a really fun person to spend an hour talking to, I really enjoyed my appointment and she understood what I was looking for in a haircut. I highly recommend her.

Me and my grandma had the most relaxing experience with the care that Pragati provided us, we had hair cut and color done and we love the results, she is so patient and she gives good advice about hair color, also the place is nice and clean, definitely I will come back more often and recommend her to my friends and family!

A Hillsborough neighbor recommended Carol. I have gone to many estheticians over the years, and could immediately see she was an outstanding professional.
Her kind and caring concern coupled with extensive knowledge is impressive. Even more remarkable is her willingness to educate and recommend the best procedures and products, some of which she does not even sell. She will schedule late hours to meet working needs.
In addition to hands on experience, she has been an instructor in San Francisco, and was selected to go to Los Angeles to manage their Southern California training program.
Her LED machine is not the typical salon size, but a large extremely efficient machine. She’ll even allow you to do your hands at the same time for no charge.

Bought the LivingSocial deal for myself and for a friend. Making an appointment was easy. I got a response very quickly. We went on a Saturday and were able to get back-​to-​back appointments.
The space was extremely clean, modern, comfortable, and attractive. I especially loved the bright wall color and sleek furniture.
I enjoyed the fact that Pragatia was able to completely focus on us since the salon doesn’t accept walk-​ins, but I personally prefer to have a little bit of noise. She did have music on at a very low volume, which helped.
If you have an appointment with Pragatia, be prepared for a lot of conversation! It was nice to chat and get to know her and vice versa, but I tend to enjoy a little bit of silence while I relax and get my hair cut. Pragatia provided both.
I have naturally curly long hair, and I asked for short layers with length. The end result was what I asked for, but I will probably stick with my usual stylist at a different salon simply because she makes the layers a bit more seamless (less choppy).
I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for an affordable, quality cut with a friendly (not formal) atmosphere. Give Pragatia a good tip! She is very passionate and hard-​working!

I got a Living Social deal for $ 29. Pragati is great! I’ve been to her before. She’s very talkative and friendly which makes the appointment go by quickly. She’s usually the only one at the salon when I’ve gone in so it’s nice to converse without a bunch of other people around. I love my hair! Parking is a bit of a pain– give yourself a little extra time to find street parking!

I called over a month in advance to get full highlights. I had planned highlights far in advance as I had a wedding to attend and wanted my hair to be newly done. When making my original appointment I repeated the scheduled day and specific date to the woman on the phone and was happy to have gotten my hair appointment set.
The date of my appointment quickly approached and I had not received a confirmation call. I decided to call the day before my scheduled appointment to confirm myself (backwards, I know). Another woman picked up and said I was scheduled for that exact day and time but a month later. (Instead of June 29^th, I was scheduled for July 29^th) I was absolutely crushed as I had explicitly confirmed this appointment and needed it during the weekend due to my busy work schedule and the upcoming wedding.
Long story short, it was a nightmare trying to schedule this appointment. I tried three times. The first, they had mistakenly made my appointment for a month later. The second time I asked for an evening appointment and the entire salon was closed! No one even showed up at 5:15pm for my scheduled appointment! I didn’t even get a courtesy call to alert me as I had to leave work early and commute to the salon. Very frustrating. The third time was a charm and I was able to get my hair done during another evening appointment. I however, felt very rushed during the entire appointment and when it was complete I noticed that my highlights were not all the way to the root. It looked as if my highlights were already grown out and I had just gotten it done!
Please find another salon!

Pragati is a great find! Talented & intuitive, she delivered a cut that struck a perfect balance of what I craved and what I needed. It works for my hair type and lifestyle. I purchased a living social deal ($ 29/​cut) and Pragati informed me that she has a discounted haircut package which allows you to buy in bulk and get each cut for $ 45! Great deal if you need a cut fairly regularly.

Warning: most of reviews are for old salon, it’s under new management now and totally different.
I had a living social for a highlight here and when I came in and told her what I wanted she said she couldn’t do a low light with the living social. I’ve had many other places do low light at a high light price, the only difference is a highlight is bleach and low light is a different color than bleach. Very disappointing. I felt like she wanted any excuse to not accept the living social. I could understand if I wanted a color correction or something totally different but literally I just didn’t want bleach as the highlight color. I really needed my hair done and she said she could do the low lights for $ 120 and I could get a refund from living social. I said that would be fine.
The only good thing about the service was she was quick. The color turned out okay, but nothing like the picture I showed her. She was kind of nice but for most of the visit I felt like she was just complaining to me about a lot of random things (drama with old co-​workers, her old job, life, etc.) It felt awkward and unprofessional.
For the blowout, she brushed my hair so hard a bunch of hair fell out and I could see my hair all over the salon gown. She also didn’t finish blowing out my hair and left me to leave with really wet hair (even though her next appointment wasn’t for 30 minutes). Throughout the experience, it felt rushed and stressful.

Pragati is an amazing lady. Not only did she add high — light to my hair she highlighted my spirits. She did an awesome job. You must see her, it was my first and not my last. I am glad she is my new hair stylist and a new friend! Margarita H

This is for the microdermabrasion I had last weekend. Carol was awesome! She is super friendly, super clean and very thorough! The whole treatment was a little over an hour, because she took her time and did extra treatment without extra charge; she’s just plain nice like that. I was so relaxed it didn’t even feel like I was there for a bit over one hour. I really liked the shoulder massage that came along with it too!
My face was so clean after Carol did her wonders that I could see my freckles after my treatment. I guess the oil and dirt covered my freckles :) My husband was so amazed he kept touching my face with his rough hands!

I had a haircut last month after purchasing a groupon. I have been here before, and found out during my appointment that a new company took over the salon in the beginning of November.
When I walked in, the salon was empty except for the owner, Pragati.
She immediately ushered me to the sink to wash my hair. She did the consultation after the shampoo, when my hair was wet. This should have been a warning…
We were the only two people in the salon and there were at least 6 stations. She seated me a the only station that was dirty. I had to step over a lot of hair from someone else’s haircut to get into the seat. I figured once I sat down, she would sweep up all the hair before she got started. But no, she just let my hair add to the other person’s hair on the floor.
On the counter in front of me, there was a towel with three combs, a pair of scissors and two clips. All of which were also dirty and filled with someone else’s hair. I thought it was disgusting, but assumed she wouldn’t use them on me. She had the tall canister to sanitize the combs, but there were none in it. About halfway through the haircut, she started using the dirty combs and scissors. I was so horrified, I didn’t know what to say! I just wanted the haircut to be over!
When I got home, I started thinking how dirty and horrifying the experience had been. I would have called to complain, but it was the owner who cut my hair! I would definitely not got back for another haircut. It was not sanitary!

I used $ 29 living social coupon for a haircut n blowdry @ Burlingame. I was very happy with my new look. Linda did my shampoo, haircut & blowdry. She was very patient and very kind.
Staff were very friendly. The place is very clean and spacious.

Everything except apologize. I have pointed out that despite the phone calls and messages, he has yet to just say a simple «sorry» for my experience which was beyond just the extra charge and continues to fault me for his employees mistakes. The issue of being ignored by staff members has yet to be addressed.
I commend you for reaching out, but you did so for the wrong reasons. If you were trying to make me happy, you would stop blaming me for the error and take ownership.

The 1 star I am giving is for my experience and it reflects how I feel about how the business is run. Otherwise I would give them 3 stars for the service because it was something very basic and simple. I’m sure the women here are talented, but my services did not offer them an opportunity to really show that.
I came here for a bang trim and color. Everything seemed to go well until I realized I was charged $ 30 for «styling.»
I should have known this was going to be bad when I walked in and had to spend 8 minutes SEARCHING inside the salon for someone to help me. There was a woman who was threading someone’s eyebrow but she would just watch me as I tried to get anyone’s attention for the appointment I was on time for. I heard Violet rustling behind a curtain and called «hello» a few times but no one responded. I was fairly loud too because I thought maybe she couldn’t hear. The threading lady just continued to ignore me. Eventually, Violet stepped out and then went to get Linda for me.
Yes, I did buy a Groupon deal for a Cut and Color which brought me in. I did not need my hair cut so I just got a bang trim instead after my coloring service. The color is relatively easy for me, I just go for whatever soft black or darkest brown looks natural, it’s pretty hard to mess up. I wasn’t wowed by the service and results, it was standard of what I expected which is why I just bought a deal to get my hair colored last minute. However, after the dye was washed out, they left my face covered in dye spots and did not bother cleaning it up for me. When I asked, she said she would get rid of it for me but didn’t. after taking off half an inch of my bangs, she started to dry my hair then asked if it is ok to tease a small part of my hair and to use hair spray on it – I said OK. Had I known that she was going to charge me $ 30 to dry my hair, I would have refused and blow dried it myself. None of this seemed unusual to me, in every salon I have been in (and I’ve paid anywhere between $ 40-​$ 450 on cuts before), if my hair is wet, they dry it. Many places will also use product on me because they are trying to up-​sell. If there are ever any charges they always tell me up front (straightening, curling, etc…)
When I called back to speak with the salon owner 2 days later, he told me the Groupon only covers a cut and color, not styling. I asked what happens when their clients have wet hair from having dye washed out and he told me they would then charge $ 20 – 30 for drying/​styling. This is almost as shady as the Camel ride scams in Egypt (you pay to ride but need to pay again for them to let you down). He then tried to say the charge was for me having extra long hair, my hair is currently shoulder length and no one disclosed that to me before my services began.
Ultimately, I’m disappointed for the confusing charges, lack of service, and then refusing to recognize I was not disclosed these items. I had to calmly explain to the owner that because I was not told of these costs, I would have no choice but to dispute these as an unauthorized charge with my credit card company. This lead to him reluctantly refunding the charge (I still told them to keep the tip and to just take out the «styling» charge).

I’ve been to Natural Look Salon and Spa twice now. The first time I went I had Cami cut my hair, and loved it!
I went back yesterday with an appointment. I tried to have her cut my hair again, but the receptionist passed that aside and scheduled my appointment anyway. It was at a time that they were very busy so I am appreciative that they got me in at all. This time I saw Linda. She was incredibly nice and polite the whole time. However, I wasn’t quite as happy this time. It looked great when I left the salon, but when I styled it myself (not nearly as skilled as Linda), my layers looked chunky and I was hoping to get back in to get them thinned out at the ends.
I called back and the next day they were open they called me twice, trying to find a time that worked for me to come in. They were AMAZINGLY cooperative with my crazy schedule, and so nice about it too! Their professionalism is not to be beaten!

The first time I went to this Salon, I had a groupon. The girl did a decent job but put a few more layers than I wanted. I was hesitant to go back.
Then they sent me a $ 25 off coupon via e-​mail so I decided to give them one more try. I saw Linda, she did a fantastic job. She really listened to what I had to say and gave me a really great hair cut/​style. With the Coupon I got a hair/​scalp mask, haircut, blow dry and style all for $ 35! For the price I couldn’t be happier!
I only give it four stars because my first experience was not amazing. I am really glad I gave them another Try! I would definitely go back and see Linda again!

So if anyone has read my reviews long enough, they know that I have learned to tread lightly when I go to a new hairdresser.
My dad goes in for a cut, seems pretty excited about it so he called *right afterward while still at the salon* and asked if I wanted to come in to get my hair done. I’m up for an adventure, so let’s go!
The salon is small, and Annie is fantastic. Sam, the owner, is also such a sweetheart, and Zizi (spelling??) is so adorable! They all talk like they’re family, so you feel right at home. Constantly offering tea, even Turkish coffee, and Annie even went out and put quarters in my meter because I only had 5 cents in my purse. (!!!)
Here’s the scoop about Annie — she’s graduated from two beauty schools, one in the states and one over in the Middle East. She went *specifically* over to the Middle East to learn blowdrying (apparently if you couldn’t straighten super thick, waist length hair within 35 minutes, they would hit your hand!) and eyebrow threading. This woman is a perfectionist. She not only dyed my hair perfectly, but blew it out to the point where I looked in the mirror and thought, «Oh my God… this is exactly what I wanted for my wedding, only my hair will be longer». Also, it looks like I’m wearing a wig — THAT perfect.
So pretty much, this will be my go-​to salon for blowdrying and future hair stuff — oh, and she threaded my eyebrows, I’ll be going there for that too.
I’m not trying to say I’m a professional hair critic, but I have been to enough hair salons to know who is good and who is not good. She is good — or even, I should actually say — great.
