The man who cut my hair went to his work like an artist moving his hands deftly around my head with light touches here and there with clippers and comb. The result was one of my best haircuts. If you are looking for a simple but quality haircut this is a great place to go and support a small local business instead of paying into another big box hack shop.

Horrible place! Went there to get a simple fade and asked they guy if he knew how to do it and said yes. I asked for a medium fade haircut and the guy working there shook as he cut my hair messing it all up. There was no fade and you could see everywhere that the machine cut. I would not recommend this place at all. Place was also really messy.

If I could give a zero, I would in a heartbeat. The clientele are old folks who don’t care too much about their haircuts. I even saw a disabled elderly woman who could barely speak so she wouldn’t even be able to scream if it was a bad cut. If you’re a young male trying to get a fade(forget about burst fade), THISISNOTTHEPLACETOGETONE. They are not up to date on «design» which will cost you an extra 20 – 30 bucks to get your haircut after you get a cut here. I had to get my hair fixed cause it was too short. The only way I could have salvaged the haircut is by a fade. And to the previous reviewer, yes it was life altering.

Changing barber is such a life altering moment that most men just stick to the same old barber over time. Girlfriends, wives, ex wives, kids, most men are more loyal to their barber than anyone else. Peter at May and Dean is skillful and can make anyone look good. Men, women, kids. I even brought my mom who is super fussy over when visiting me. Patient and thorough. Highly recommended

I went here expecting a typical cut and trim but I left looking like an Egyptian Pharaoh. I asked for a simple fade and trim but the man that cut my hair did not listen to anything I said and continued to snip away. This was my first time there but I would try to get it cut from the lady next time if I decide to go back. I should of known better because everyone else was there for her. Do not let the man cut your hair!

It started with my parents when I was in high school and they were very happy with their hair cuts. We are an Asian family, so finding a good place to cut our hair is hard to find. I’ve been to places with non-Asian barbers who just ran a scissor through my hair and called that a cut. It cost me $ 50!!! May and Dean’s charges about 16 – 18 dollars for a 3 – 4 inch trim. I am a loyal customer to these guys because they always do a wonderful job trimming and layering my hair.

May & Dean Hair Design not much on atmosphere but GREAT with hair, Peter is an amazing stylist and really understands hair. In the past I’ve gone to Trio, Cowboys and Angeles and UK Hair all fine salons but really never got a really good hair cut. I have a lot of hair that is fine with a mix of stick straight and wave tuff hair to manage but Peter really analyzed my hair condition and cuts it to get the most out of it. If that makes sense, he is really great… recommend all day long.

My girlfriend got her haircut done here. The following is from her: Peter is very detailed oriented and takes his time. He is also very focused. Took 40 minutes to take off 4 inches. Does good layers. $ 17 for a woman’s haircut. No wash. Very good price for a good haircut. Comparable to a $ 50 cut at more expensive salons.

Came in after work for a quick trim. Great service and detailed orientated-/finished look. Couldnt be more happier. Only 13 dollars but gave a good tip because she did a great job. Definitely will be going back for my next trim.
