I am a traveler and a good breakfast is a priority for me. Big Joe’s did not disappoint! I had«Joes Favorite» which is an omelette with chopped sausage and Swiss cheese. It may have been the best omelette I have ever had… easily makes my «Top Ten» list!

I thought this place was a worthwhile stop. I ordered two scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and some sourdough toast. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was pretty friendly and the venue itself was a little old but well kept. I thought the prices were average(~$ 10+ for breakfast) and liked that it wasn’t super crowded or noisy on a Friday afternoon. There are many dining options in the area, but if you want something quick and satisfying then this is a great choice.

Please don’t waste your time … Unless your like us and couldn’t find a place without a 30 minute line out the door for breakfast. Despite the reviews, we figured«how bad could it be?» That’s the true sign of desperation! We were sat in the corner of the restaurant where we ended up being forgotten. I ordered the chorizo scramble– NOSOURCREAM and my husband had the pancake sand which. Of course my food came out with an obscene amount of sour cream; it was almost insulting. No water refills, no coffee refills, over priced. Don’t. Just. Don’t.

make sure you repeat your order to the waitress if you’re customizing. they just don’t seem to hear when I ask for egg whites… otherwise good omelettes :)

I like this little place. It’s definitely not fancy but the owner is friendly and the food never disappoints.

Came here for brunch. Bought a turkey sandwich served with salad and both were a generous size! Customer service was also great.

Took my newly adopted dog for a stroll today and stopped here for breakfast. He somehow managed to escape his harness and took off running. Thankfully he made friends with another dog and I was able to get him back on his leash and harness. When we got back to our patio table, the waitress already had the drinks is ordered waiting on the table. She also knew that he’d taken off. I had the waffle with strawberries with a side of bacon. Big thanks for the extra bacon to share with my furry friend. All of it was delicious. We will be back!

Had a breakfast with a friend, got seafood omelet, it was delicious, and a friend also liked the food. Service was prompt, nothing to complain about!

The food was not bad until we noticed a hair in our salad. The service is really horrible, table was dirty and when we asked to clean it, the waitress showed her disappointment. No second chance from us.

I have to say that strolling through the Burlingame rain during lunch hour on a Saturday this was our last pick on the block. However, it was the only place open. We seated ourselves and our server immediately took our drink orders. I ordered coffee. The husband had water. This is my only complaint about the whole visit. My coffee tasted scorched like it had been sitting too long. It didn’t ruin anything so I let it fly. We ordered spaghetti bolognese and a reuben with macaroni salad. The bolognese came with two delicious warm pieces of sourdough garlic bread. I asked after the soup of the day but she told me it wasn’t ready yet. Then she back tracked and decided to check just in case. Clam Chowder, so I opted for a house salad instead. I wish I had taken a picture. It was a thing of beauty and delicious to boot. When our entrees arrived they were plentiful and I immediately tried my husbands macaroni salad. Heaven on a spoon. He was in love with his Reuben. Plenty of meat and cooked to perfection. My spaghetti was delicious and we had to take that to go as I couldn’t finish it. When we were through all it took was a quick hand wave and she boxed my dish for me, took the check and brought delicious after lunch candy. If I return to Bingham I will return to Joes.

weekend breakfast on the broadway burlingame side… no lines or wait… plenty of seating… starting with drink orders and browsing menu… television screen above and small diner feel… first, portions are quite generous and hefty meals… basket of simple sliced bread toast for breakfast orders… chorizo omelet smothered with sour cream and plenty filling… crispy hash browns to the side… chicken fried steak with eggs hearty… two fried beef patties smothered in saucing… eggs cooked as requested… corned beef and hash just huge… rustic and large portions for the right price… food is basic and standard… quick refills and friendly service. chicken deluxe sandwich is great with two pieces of chicken breast… fish and chips portion are huge, crunchy and good… good diner with no wait on weekend… meal and a drink roughly $ 20 after tax and tip…

I’ve been there twice so far. One for breakfast and one for dinner. The Joe’s Omelet is pretty good, especially the sausage inside it. And I would highly recommend their dinner plate, particularly the bbq lamp and tuna salad. The lamp is super juicy and tasty! Definitely will come again!

Very charming diner in old downtown Burlingame. Has a bar and also big booths, serves classic breakfasts with hash browns or home fries, stacks of pancakes, and all the coffee you can drink. Perfect place to meet a friend for a fill-em-up start to the day.

Nice quaint lil place on the corner of Broadway in Burlingame… First time here recommend by my nephew… Ordered steak w/grilled onions, fries, salad and a cold one. While waiting I asked if the channel can be turned to the game. The owner handed me the remote and said all yours. I felt right at home. My New York Steak was cooked the way I asked… Food was good and the vibe was kool ya digg

So this is my second time here and I have nothing to complain about! The food is amazing, great portion sizes, friendly staff, great service, this place has it all! My friend and I have never been breakfast people but since we’ve started coming here, breakfast is our favorite meal of the day :) we’re here every Sunday and maybe an extra day during the week just because we love this place so much! I promise, you’ll love it just as much as we do!

Always, quick friendly service. And, always a good meal. I can recommend the hash and eggs as the best.

Meh. They have some good reviews but was not impressed. No fresh squeezed orange juice. Not a big deal as few places really offer this. So I ordered coffee and classic omelette. Coffee was good but there were no refills coming. Didn’t seem they were that busy but guess that checking in at the tables is not a priority. The omelette was huge so am glad that I split it. The classic has eggs with ground beef. It was fine but needed some salt. There was no salt on the table. It came with hash browns. I ordered extra crispy but there was nothing crispy about them. Too bad. They have potential. Got done but no one brought the check. Not a problem so we just got up and headed to the register. They found the receipt, we paid, and we’re on our way. They have potential. If service was a little better(cooking and checking in at tables) they could really shine.

Fantastic grilled sandwiches, done right. We had the: CHICKENDELUXE(Very good. Perfect grilled textures, might have been a bit more moist) Broiled chicken with bacon, avocado, melted jack cheese on butter-grilled sourdough slices. REUBENSANDWICH: one of the better ones I’ve had. Very pleased with the food quality and the excellent, friendly, attentive service. Will definitely be back if in Burlingame.

I was getting my glucose levels tested to see if I was still diabetic after the pregnancy at LabCorp in Burlingame across from Mills Peninsula; and nothing gets me craving carbs more than thinking about that miserable time in my life when I was a gestational diabetic and couldn’t eat carbs! So immediately after my test was done, I drove over to Big Joe’s on Broadway(the closest diner where I could stuff my face with some greasy carbs). I usually go to the Big Joe’s in San Bruno, where I order their Homemade Corned Beef Hash. Obviously, because I am a creature of habit, I ordered the corned beef hash. Between the two Big Joe’s, I prefer the corned beef hash at the San Bruno location, where the corned beef is more shredded. Burlingame’s corned beef is more like tiny strips similar in size to the strips of potatoes in hash browns. The Burlingame location, however, is better staffed, so there’s less of a wait; and, the décor is less run down(i.e., the seats aren’t torn with holes in them). But, whichever location you pick, you’ll be sure to get your diner food fix at a reasonable price.
