Alpha Grooming Pet Salon

This was my first time using a mobile dog grooming service and I could not be more pleased with Alpha Grooming and their Staff. They were professional, gentle, and very attentive to detail. I consider myself pretty picky and I am 100% satisfied with Moose’s grooming. I have a Multigenerational Australian Labradoodle and anyone with this breed knows they have a certain «look». In the past, I have gone to several high-​end groomers that prided themselves on providing excellence and never met my expectations neither with their grooming services nor with their interpersonal customer service. I often felt disappointed and saddened by my dog’s scruffy haircut and razor-​burned paws; not to mention the condition in which I picked him up, which was pure fear from being caged. Alpha Grooming was quick to schedule my dog’s appointment and was more than accommodating. Grooming can be stressful for dogs; the noises and handling can be quite scary for them but it was obvious from the get go that Alpha Grooming and her assistant are passionate for dogs and truly enjoy what they do. They went above my expectations and treated Moose as if he were their own puppy. They did not use any muzzles or additional scary objects rather, they pampered him like a little prince. I love my dog and only choose services that meet my caliber of care for him. I highly recommend Alpha Groomers and I intend to continue grooming my dog with Alpha!

After trying the grooming services at the big box stores a couple of time and noticing how scared my dog was to go there, we started bathing and grooming our dog at home. After burning out two different clippers and then accidentally cutting her more than a few times with the scissors, I decided to look for a mobile groomer and I’m so happy to have found Alpha Grooming.
We just had our first grooming session and Zelda came out clean, trimmed, and happy. She looks so much better than she ever did after her home grooming sessions and they did it in two hours, versus the three plus hours it took me.
The booking process was amazingly high tech and fast and I got text confirmations and reminders which were awesome. We booked Araujo Silva, who arrived on time (a few minutes early even) and both gentlemen who arrived were very friendly and efficient. I am saddened by the few bad experiences people have had, but it sounds like the issues might be around one particular groomer? I would definitely recommend Alpha Grooming to anyone looking for a quality groomer for their precious pup. It really doesn’t get any easier.

Alpha Grooming are the BEST!!! I’ve know Carlos for several years when he used to work for the company I used to use. When he told me he was starting his own business, there was NO question I’d follow him. My dog Molly is a rescue and was mistreated prior to coming to me. She loves Carlos and he has always been very good with her. You never have to worry about your «best friend» when they are with Carlos. The new van is lovely and very comfortable for Molly. She comes out of the van with the «look at me» attitude for how pretty she looks in her clean coat and bandana. I can’t say enough positive nor can I endorse them enough! Alpha Grooming knows what he’s doing and his professionalism is outstanding!

I used their website to request an appointment and received an email from Carlos on the same day (even though it was the weekend). I was worried I’d have to wait until Monday to get an answer but am so glad Carlos was responsive and that I was able to book an appointment the following Monday.

Alpha Grooming Staff came to trim my new kitty’s nails, which had not been trimmed for months (previous owner had had her for 2 months and never trimmed her nails, never even took her to the vet once!). My kitty is probably as mellow as it gets but seeing as this was my first kitty and I only had her for 2 days, I felt uneasy doing the job myself and am so glad we had Alpha Grooming come over. It was very educational for me to watch him do them to work.

Alpha Grooming is very knowledgeable and very clearly loves animals. He handled my kitten with so much confidence and assurance, I could tell she was in very good hands. The convenience of having someone come to your home really makes the price worth it. I cannot recommend Alpha Grooming services enough!

«We» (Sashi the cocker spaniel and her mom) LOVE Carlos. He does a fabulous job grooming and we love the convenience of having Sashi groomed in their state of the art van right in our driveway. She always looks so beautiful afterwards!

I wish I could give them more stars because the groomers were very nice and friendly however, the service was not good at all, my poor dog got terrible hair cut which we had to ask them after they were done to trim more hair cause he didn’t look like the hair cut was done right. I had to take my dog to our vet to get his nails trim the back nails were growing into the pads and he was limping I felt so bad for my baby dogs can’t talk like a child and tell you what is wrong with them right? As much as I like the 2 groomers that try to take care of my dog I won’t ask them to come back the don’t seem to have enough experience.

Very disappointed!!! I made an appointment online. There was no confirmation call, which I believed to be an oversight. The day & time came & went and they were a no– show. I had purchased a groupon cupon to use as I was searching for a new mobile groomer. It will now line my garbage can!!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!!

We got a Bath Package and Nail Trim for a Medium Dog from Groupon for our Corgi and after they done they told us that our corgi is a large dog. I understand that is my mistake that didn’t find out our Corgi is a large size dog (because everywhere else count her as medium dog) anyway we willing to pay the difference. But the employee charge us $ 40 for the difference which is not right. Our package worth for $ 80 and a bath for a large dog is only $ 100 how they could come out with $ 4o. and the guy who do the bath can’t speak English. it’s hard to communicate with. We end up just paid the $ 40 and let go. But I have post these to let everyone know they don’t really know dogs too. When I told the I have a corgi they ask me if I know I am only having a bath package not include grooming. (everyone knows corgi can’t groom!) poor service! I wish I could give them no star!!!

I had the same problems as many other people.
!. Groomer did not speak English.
2 Nicked my dog’s ear with clippers
3. Requested a short trim and it looked like he wasn’t even clipped at all.
4. Expensive
5. They never answer their phone.
6. Carlos is rude.

I used to love Alpha Grooming but in the past three visits I’ve had nothing but horrible experiences.
Do NOT use this service!
1. They show up one hour before you appointment time insisting your wrong even when you show them your confirmation email.
2. They send 3 people who don’t speak English and clearly don’t care about the animals they are to service.
3. They change services even when you have confirmed them via email. When I ask them to clear with up, it’s like three people just waiting repeating the same thing, bath. No I said full grooming. No just bath. Showing them a confirmation email doesn’t do squat.
Save your hard earned dollars and go to a real groomer. Someone who cares to learn the name of your dog, who spends time to look at pictures of what you like and don’t like. Don’t take your dogs to these monsters.
I’m posting this on any and every site I can. Dog owners be warned of this terrible business.
Side note: Even my dog ran away and he loves people, what does that say? His instincts are right, don’t let these people groom your dog!

— This Unilocal business is littered with fake and misleading reviews.
— Multiple groomers do not speak English. Steer clear if you have a special needs or senior dog that require extra communication.
— The groomer asked me to write them a review via text message after the groom.
— They charge you as soon as you book the appointment online.
— With any groomer, SPECIFY if you want your dog’s ear hairs to be tweezed or plucked. Consult your vet if this practice is suitable and necessary for your dog.
— The convenience and high price tag of this mobile groomer are NOT worth the risk.
Murilo groomed my dog, Ollie. He showed up an hour early without notice. I met him outside my work, took a peak at the van which was very clean, and proceeded to discuss Ollie’s cut. I showed him a picture of the cut I wanted. He looked at it closely and said «ok.» I told him Ollie has hip dysplasia, which limits the range of motion in his hind legs. He replied «ok.» I asked if the shampoo used for the «blueberry facial» was chemical free because Ollie has sensitive skin around his face. He replied «ok.» This made me extremely uneasy. His English was limited, to say the least. I moved on to ask him to not shave his belly, but to cut it short. He said «ok.» He didn’t try to understand me or clarify. I thought he understood, so I left Ollie in his hands and went back to work.
Shortly after, I received a text message from Murilo asking if I wanted Ollie’s belly shaved. I said to cut it short, specifically .5cm. I reminded him about Ollie’s hind legs. He told me to «keep calm.»
About 2 hours later, Ollie was ready. His haircut looked good, but not like the photo. He didn’t seem to be in a lot of distress, so I was happy about that. I did notice that Ollie kept shaking his head.
I asked about payment and Murilo asked for my credit card. I told him that Unilocal had a discount which he honored. I had to type the dollar amount on my phone to make it clear to him. What he didn’t mention was that their website charges you, without notice, immediately after confirming the booking. I was double charged. (I couldn’t confirm this for about a week as both charges were pending for quite some time. The owner eventually refunded the duplicate charge.)
We headed back to work where I inspected Ollie. His belly was completely shaved down. His dew claws were left untrimmed. His ears had been completely plucked clean. They were red, inflamed, and irritated.
The next day and a half, Ollie shook his head constantly. He wouldn’t go walks. He hid in our home. He cried when I tried to inspect his ears. He did not eat or drink. He started panting and shaking non-​stop. His ears looked like they were getting worse. We took him to the ER on Valentine’s Day. The ER vet said he had an ear infection from the plucking and advised us that this was unnecessary. He also said Ollie was in a considerable amount of pain. Four hours and $ 225 later, Ollie’s ears were flushed out, and he was prescribed pain medication as well as eardrops for the next 10 days.
When I spoke to Carlos, he was calm and asked me for all the documents from Ollie’s ER trip. It took several weeks of back and forth, but I was finally reimbursed. I was not, however, reimbursed for the $ 100 groom as he explained that Ollie did get a proper grooming. I beg to differ.
The one deserved star is for having an insurance policy in place. Based on your Unilocal reviews, it has come in handy multiple times. How your lawyer decided that Ollie did not, in fact, have an ear infection prior to the groom is beyond me but at least I was reimbursed for the vet bill.
EDIT: I flagged at least half a dozen fake reviews which Unilocal has since removed. I wouldn’t have tried this groomer if it weren’t for one the reviews I later found to be made by an employee. Don’t believe everything you read! I made that mistake.

In response to your reply to my review Carlos, neither my Mom or I received any calls from anyone after that night. You told my Mom that night you watched the video and he was fine. My Mom said she would look forward to seeing that video and you said «it’s private». If there was truly nothing wrong then why would it need to be private. Why would a company that says they care about their clients not call the next day to see how the dog was? I find it unfortunate that you are only making this attempt for your reviews. It looks like you have lots of happy costumers but I just hope that you’re technicians don’t go too far one day. This dog could have died and thats just unacceptable. We have heard not one word from anyone. This is the first contact and more than a month has passed, how disheartening.

I have been going to the same groomers for 8 years and when they closed shop it was very difficult to find a new groomer. After many interviews I came across Alpha Grooming I like there name and they had really great reviews. I decided to give them a chance, I made a great choice! Alpha Grooming Staff Adriana was sweet and asked a lot of questions about my dogs which made me feel very comfortable… I am very happy with there work, they are better than my last groomers. Major Plus… I highly recommend Alpha Grooming I am so happy at my babies haircut. They did an awesome job.

Carlos was on time, respectful, friendly and professional. He made me and Chico feel at ease in our first interaction because he is such a natural. He handled my little Chico with tenderness and care. He finished in good time and did a marvelous job making Chico look red carpet ready! I am thoroughly satisfied and will exclusively only come to Alpha Grooming Pet Salon for all of Chico’s needs from now on.

Just want to say thank you so much to all of the Alpha Grooming staff! They took very good care of my baby. My sweet Leo (cat) needed a nice shower, his nails clipped, slight trim and a cat blow out. Leo was so happy during and after this whole experience. Look forward to the next appointment.

I emailed Carlos at Alpha grooming about scheduling an appointment… and with us working during the week and not available until the evening he was able to accomdate us with a 7pm scehdule on short same day notice literally within an hour. Adriana and Araújo showed up shortly after 7p due to traffic conditions but was still able to give our fur babies a bath and cut, the full shabang. Although Adriana and Araújo did not speak English, they were very professional by having a translator app and did the best they can to explain to us what will have to be done. would totally use them again and very impressed with how quickly they worked with getting us in for the evening appointment to the work that was done… thanks for your help! Also, got a 10% discount without mentioning the Unilocal App.

BEWARE! My Mom has a 3 month old adorable puppy, yesterday I was playing with him before the Van came and he was his wonderful puppy self. When he came back he was clearly not well, within an hour we were at EMERGENCY with him and he has been on oxygen all night. Initial diagnosis from the Vet, he was constrained too tightly and this causes something called Pulmonary Edema. It was so hard to see, one moment he was a very vivacious adorable puppy and the next he was struggling to breathe. We will go to see him this morning. One night was 1800 $ and if he stays longer it could be up to 3100 $

Today was my first time using your service, which was highly recommended. My little 2 year old papshund, Stella, is very feisty and does not like to be touched, a challenge I know! Murilo came over today for her grooming appointment. After about 10 minutes of getting to know each other, he put her up on the table and she allowed him to groom her with no problem. A few times she Unilocaled — the blowdryer and her feet. But otherwise it was wonderful and she looks fabulous. I will definitely book again and with Murilo. Thanks!

My husband and I had a pleasant experience with Alpha Grooming Pet Salon. We bought a Living Social deal for a bath for a medium dog for half off normal price. The package included bath, brushing, nail clipping, teeth brushing and anal cleansing.
We received text confirmation once we booked the appointment, as well as a text reminder on the day of.
The Alpha Grooming van came promptly at the appointment time. The two workers said they would call when our dog was ready. About 30 minutes later, the grooming was complete. Ziggy was nice and pampered. He smelled good and they even gave him a little dog tie for new year’s.
I’m pretty satisfied with the service. It could be a bit pricey, $ 80 normal price for medium dog, but it’s a mobile service so it’s convenient, since the van comes to you.
Minus one star because they don’t really answer their phone. We left a message on the voicemail and did not get a reply. Other than that, I would totally use Alpha Grooming again.

I just had Max groom our Portuguese Water Dog. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional and gave our pup an awesome cut. The high quality product of a high-​end groomers, with the oh so convenient on-​location service — you can’t beat it!

Alpha grooming has the best groomer they groomed my Schnauzer Max and he looks like a show dog.
Their online booking is so practical
and I pay online and they made process so easy and fun.
I highly recommend it and Max was so happy after they brought him back in hour and half.

We had a wonderful experience with Alpha Grooming… our dog was groomed perfectly.

Just had my 3 yr old male Shiba, Yoshi, groomed by Murilo Guimaraes and couldn’t be more pleased. I have tried taking him to the vet to get his nailed trimmed, and he just wont have it. Murilo was very patient and caring with Yoshi and couldn’t believe he was able to trim AND file his nails. The team was very polite, they arrived on time and did and AMAZING job. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This was Yoshi’s first time getting groomed so he was a bit nervous, but Murilo did a great job with him. I highly recommend Alpha Grooming! I also love that the booking can be done online. I am definitely going to book with them again!

The groomer arrived a bit early for the appointment. Both my dogs were soft and clean with nails trimmed nicely after their appointments.
I have a 9 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, who is spunky and follows me everywhere. Normally, I cannot leave a room without him on my heels and practically sitting on top of me. He was fine before the appointment. After the appointment, I was terrified to see his state decline. When standing, his back legs would shake and honestly he looked a little drugged up and wouldn’t look at me. He would walk at a slow pace and I had to help him get up to go outside. He also stayed in other rooms, far away from me. If he was lying down, he kept his back legs straight underneath his body, as though he was afraid to put weight on his flanks. It looked like he had a scrape on his side but his hair is short making him prone to scrapes and I am not sure if this was there before the appointment. He was clearly in pain.
I tried to contact Alpha Grooming to find out if my dog fell or if something happened while he was being groomed. Six days later, they have still not responded. Things happen but they should have a) let me know at the end of the appointment and b) followed up.
Update: After posting this review, I was contacted within hours by Alpha Pet. They were apologetic about the lack of communication and concerned about my pup. Apparently, every appointment is video taped. After they reviewed my dog’s appointment, they said that there was nothing that happened other than my pup jumping off the table. In the end, they tried to make things right by offering to share the video tapes and give me a credit for a future appointment so I am going to give them another star. (Btw, my pup is back to normal and his stalker antics again.)

The grooming itself was good, and I tipped well b/​c the groomer took care with our pup. The office staff, however, is non-​responsive after I’ve emailed twice regarding a scheduling mix-​up. The time I selected, and which was verified by email did not match up to the time the groomer showed up — meaning she was nearly an hour early and completely threw our morning off. If they’d responded to my emails, I would have given five stars. But sigh — no such luck.

This was the first time I ever used a mobile groomer. I have a 16 week old cavachon puppy who was in desperate need of grooming, and I wanted him close since he was so young. Carlos arrived on time and knew exactly how to groom my rambunctious puppy. I could hear him talking and singing to him from the van to calm him. He looked absolutely perfect after grooming. I highly recommend this company and I will be sure to use them again in a few weeks!

Luna Bear (giant schnauzer poodle mix) gets cut by Carlos and Max. She is very comfortable with them. Scheduling sometimes works — depending on the day they can be very early or wildly late which is why I Took off a star. As far as the cut, wash and additional services, Luna Bear looks great.

Carlos does a beautiful job with our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels! Thank you Carlos!

Carlos has just finished with my cattle mix dog. He said he has never seen so much fur come out of one dog. I have gone to several groomers in trhe past and have never had her bruched out so thoroughly.
They were on time, treated my dog well and were very courteous and informative (about nail trimming).
I highly recommend this company.

Wow, completely unhelpful and argumentative! I sent an email a few days ago asking about special pricing I saw on Amazon Local — never received an email back. I just called and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude and argumentative. $ 120 for the full package, which isn’t what I needed because my cat can’t be bathed, and only needed a shaving and mani/​pedi. Why would I want to work with somebody who isn’t flexible or kind on the phone (every time i tried to ask a question, he would just talk over me)?? If you’re not kind or flexible with humans, I shudder to think how you’ll be with my pet!

Let me start saying my baby’s Yoshi and Mia is my family.
I don’t have «human» kids so they are my everything.
I’m very selective with everything that’s is for them of course, I want the very best for my baby’s.
So I choose Alpha Grooming Pet Salon to take care (Bath, Hair Design)

Carlos was so welcoming and notice that I was very nervous for they first time, he even invite me to stay for a little bit inside at his trailer, after i saw him interacting with my baby’s I new they were in a good hands.
I very happy that I found them to take care of them.
By the way I have a Silk-​terrier and a Yorkshire.

Showed up on time and took great care of my senior bichon.
He gave her a cute haircut, turned into a little teddy bear.
He even let me sit in the truck so I can watch him work.

I’m so glad we called Carlos. In fact, it might just be the best thing we have ever done for our cats.
We set a noon appointment, and Carlos showed up at exactly 12. I brought him the first cat, the one who hates everything and everyone, and within seconds, she was purring in Carlos’s arms!
35ish minutes later I got a text and I brought him a cat who is afraid of the world. She was snuggled up and almost asleep when I left her in the mobile truck.
35 minutes later, second cat was back in her fave spot in our house — growling at her cat sister.
We will never again take our fur babies to a grooming salon. Last time one peed in her box because she hates the car that much. The other growled at the groomer who was not used to cats.
No more half day ordeals. We have Carlos now who comes to us. No more fur baby stress. No more mommy stress!
