Baylor Emergency Medical Center At Burleson

First I will start by saying the facility was clean nice, staff was decently friendly for the most part. But when you get the bill non of that matters anymore… Went in with stomach pains, had a few blood tests and an abdominal CT. When we got the bill it was for nearly $ 16,000 dollars and we were only there for a matter of a few hours. They billed over 9k just for the CT, the same CT I have had done down the street for $ 300 cash price. Save your money go to urgent care or go to Huguley down the street

Horrible experience. I went to this location at the end of January because I was having difficulty swallowing. They seemed understaffed with only one emergency room doctor on a Sunday afternoon. The nurse that took a blood sample when I first arrived got blood all over me. I waited almost three hours to see a doctor who came in and said that he had just arrived. He checked my throat and said he was not sure what was wrong but that I could get a cat scan if I wanted. Of course I wanted to check to see if there was something wrong which was causing my inability to swallow. I waited another hour and a half before having a cat scan done of my throat. They informed me that it would take about ½ an hour before results were back. The doctor came back in and said that there were no abnormalities on the cat scan and that I need to see an ENT to actually see what was wrong (saw him for about four minutes the whole time I was there). The nurse came in had me sign paperwork and then left. They had forgotten to take the IV/​butterfly out of my arm (stood in hallway for 20 minutes trying to find someone to assist me). I saw the woman who performed my cat scan and she took the IV/​butterfly out of my arm. While checking out at front desk I noticed blood all over the table and my sweatshirt was completely soaked in blood. They sent me back to have someone «fix it».I left the hospital six hours after I had arrived with no answers. The final diagnosis on my paperwork was «sore throat». I just recently received the bill from them that cost over $ 6,000.00!!! These people are crazy. Will never go back to this place or recommend to anyone! Complete failure in proper emergency medical care.

Very nice facility. The employees were courteous and the nurses and doctor on schedule were attentive and listened to our concerns and addressed each one individually. During check in there is not much of a wait before being called into a room but you do have to remember this is an E.R. facility and will have to wait on any lab work or test results. We will definitely be going back if we need urgent care.
