I want to give five stars because the end result of my experience was great. The first part however almost had me wondering if I should find another place to have my wisdom teeth removed. I have so much dental anxiety it’s not even funny. When my dentist told me I would need a referral to have all four impacted wisdom teeth removed, I was less that enthused. My dental office gave me the information for Summit Implants with a reassurance that they were amazing. The following week I called and scheduled an appointment and was told I would get a call back. Almost 10 days later I still had no phone call so I emailed the office and was told the insurance department still hadn’t gotten to my paperwork. My third and final time Incalled I was livid and ready to cancel my appointment and find an office that was able to return my calls. Thank goodness I talked to Cindy who profusely apologized and told me she would handle me personally. On the day of my surgery I was very nervous. The staff was very nice and accommodating. One thing that did bother me was the billing woman thought it was a good time for me pay my balance as I was hooked up to the heart monitoring machine with tubes in my nose… that could have waited. The surgery was over before I knew it and I went home to heal. Dr. Cottam even called me to check on me. I thought I was in for smooth sailing until my mouth started to swell up and my gums were hurting so bad. I called Dr. Cottam and he urged me to come and see him. Thank goodness I got in to see him right away. He cleaned my gums and gave me something to ease the pain. This was an overall painful experience but Dr. Cottam definitely made me feel at ease and I would highly recommend his office.
