John F Kennedy Memorial High School

As a parent, I can tell you that we have had an overwhelmingly good experience at Kennedy. Having two children currently attending, I feel I am in a good position to share our experiences. We have found the faculty to go above and beyond all the time. They will offer extra help, guidance & support whenever it is asked. Both of our children have strong relationships with many of the faculty.
I honestly feel so fortunate to have my kids there. They both love it (as much as any kid loves school) and would not chose to go anywhere else. I’ve asked.

This school is much different in 2015 than it was in the 1980s, so I have no idea why that other person was commenting on it… sour grapes I guess. I’m a parent of a student who just finished his freshman year and who will be returning next year. We absolutely love the school! It has done wonders for my son academically, socially, and spiritually. The teachers bend over backwards to help. The students are friendly and welcoming to all. Graduates are going to Stanford, Univ. Of Washington, etc. I highly recommend it.

This school has been a wonderful academic, social and sports related experience for our daughter. We have been impressed by the rigors of the class work and the committment and quality of the teachers. At twice the price of the tuition, it would still a bargain if you are looking for a quality Catholic high school. Our daughter will graduate in 2015. This review is perhaps more relevant than one written of an educational experience 25 years ago.

Went to this prison camp. JFK High School was a place for sadist teachers and UBER control freaks that were in charge.
I saw sadistic acts of punishment from teachers in charge. Swats with paddles, excessive running for punishment and work crew details during and after school.
What a great place to educate your children. I’m glad I was paroled after one year.

I was a female student at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Seattle back in the 1980’s, now renamed John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien, WA. Please parents do NOT send your son or daughter to this school. Quite frankly, this school is nothing more than a fashion show and social party. The academics can be considered completely worthless! I sincerely wish that I had attended the local public high school with harder AP courses in math and English. (My parents could have also saved the tuition money for a college fund). I feel as if I was not properly prepared for university and I actually had to take remedial courses at a community college. I no longer live in Seattle, and I earned my degrees in another state. I now work in the educational field and I am a homeowner. I turned out well despite high school. Most of the five star reviews by parents stress the «Kennedy family» loyalty, but your son/​daughter can make new friends at any high school. Also, please do not be impressed by stories of their most famous alumnus, the actor Jim Caviezel of «The Passion of Christ» movie by Mel Gibson. Apparently, he had a reputation for not being the most serious student (but a good athlete) and he attended JFK — but he could have attended any high school! Please read the reviews on yahoo, and
