I went into this store because my daughter loves crafting beaded jewelry. The selection was amazing, but the woman behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us even though we were the only people in the store. Amazing selection, awful customer service. Doubt we’ll be back.

Great shop! I found some really cool lockets here. I’m going to make solid perfumes in them. They stock tons of vintage and interesting items. I also saw some sweet little owl beads on my visit. Very pleasant experience and I left feeling inspired to make something!

The owner is aloof and unhelpful. I’ve been there a handful of times when she isn’t there and receive better service but overall they are lacking it. The beads and selection are unique and nice, but if you are a novice be prepared to receive horrible customer service.

Great little bead store, not those warehouse beads stores with every hideous thing under the sun. Beautiful beads, good but edited selection and really nice service in the cutest new neighborhood in town. If you like good personal service, materials at a good price then this is the bead store for you.

So being the novis hobbyist that I am, the opening of Fireweed Bead Co in Burien made the search for quality and very reasonably priced beads a lot easier. I already know about that massive bead store in Olympia, but lets be honest folks don’t even think about walking in there without a very specific plan in mind or you will be so overwhelmed you won’t know what to do with yourself. And I have been to the somewhat decent store in Kent… no names here since I am not really impressed with them either. They were over priced and the selection was okay, but nothing to write home about. If your gonna have a small selection then you better have some unique things or don’t bother with the loads of cheep options. Fireweed while small in square footage is the most friendly store and will teach you if you are feeling lost or need advice. The hold classes on technique in a small environment that makes you feel like a pro when your done. This place is definitely worth the drive and is located in the quaint neighborhood of Olde Downtown Burien.
