I bought the groupon for a massage. The massage therapist was unkempt. She had a coffee spill on her tank top, bra straps exposed, sweat pants, everything different and in unmatching colors. I understand California casual but I don’t want a massage from someone in what is essentially dirty pajamas. The massage was ok but then at the end she wiped me down with a hot and smelly towel. I’m talking about a nasty, smelly, musty old towel that needs to be thrown out bc even bleach is not saving this towel. I asked for another towel bc I was so disgusted and appalled by that nasty rag that touched my body that I needed something else to wipe myself off with and she told me that was the last one. Wtf the last towel in the whole place? Also the massage was 50 minutes not 60. I did not see this stated in the groupon. Ugh never again.

I’ve been a client at Smooth Aesthetics for a few years now. This is my very first Unilocal review. And I’m not sure why I have until now to review. I love this place!!! I love Margaret for laser work and injectibles. For massage, Shamane or Lisa or Lynda, you can’t go wrong with any of them. And for questions about products, procedures and pretty much everything, Andy is the best. I haven’t had a facial in quite some time so I need to book one. I know that whomever I see there for a facial will be wonderful. All staff here is wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. I’m not sure about Groupn deals — I just walk in and ask about specials. Also, there’s a calendar with the ‘specials’ marked on it for sale days on Botox, Juvederm etc. When I want those items, I know what days to go in and purchase. Highly recommend!

A delightful surprise! I received a gift certificate here and visited recently for the first time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I booked a facial and some Botox injections, the facial was fantastic. I also got a great education about better care of my skin, and the esthetician was super helpful, as well as very gentle.
I love this place and I have already booked my next appointment there!

Just received a very relaxing and quite professional massage. The staff is very friendly and caring and the facility is great… clean, neat, organized.
You won’t be disappointed. Also, bring some extra cash, Courtney’s jewelry and dream catchers are so beautiful; you’ll want to buy them all!

Just had an amazing massage by Lisa. She really took the time to work on my problem areas and I feel fantastic. Would definitely recommend her for a massage!

I had the best massage of my life with Lisa this morning. She was FANTASTIC! I feel amazing now. Her massages certainly beat any spa or hotel I have ever been to. I highly recommend her.

I love trying new places for massages, especially when there is an option for a body scrub. I was excited to see that there was a groupon offer from here for exactly that! Booking the appointment was easy and flexible so that was super convenient. When I got to the appointment, I came about 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork like is usually the case when you go to a new spa. There was no one up front when I got there. I waited about 10 minutes before someone came up to the desk. She was super friendly. Kind of awkward though she told me that if I were to ever see a groupon again from them, to call them directly and ask if they could honor the groupon deal in house since groupon takes 50% of each sale. I thought that was unprofessional and kind of random. I hadn’t even undergone the treatment to know if I wanted to come back yet or not.
The therapist came to the center about 5 minutes after my appointment time to set up the room so I didn’t get started until about 15 minutes after my appointment time. She didn’t introduce herself, I have no idea what her name was. She began the session, didn’t ask me what pressure I liked, and just did her own thing. At some points I felt like she was petting me it was so weak. To top it off, as I exited the room the door swung so wide that my finger got jammed between the door and the wall. A warning would have been nice. She gave me half of a cup of water, went to a cabinet to get her purse, and left from the back. I didn’t even have a chance to tip her. Super random place and service, wouldn’t go back.

Very competent masseuse, massage was excellent.
Didn’t like the sales pitch at the end of the massage (didn’t come from the masseuse).

I am the biggest FAN of the deep tissue massage done by Shamane, she is truly a goddess!!! I started with Shamane on accident as I was using a Groupon and now I will only let Shamane do body work because her skills are so excellent. Andy is a doll! The staff in general are great! I’m officially a deep tissue addict!

Andy was great. Booking the appointment was a breeze and he made me laugh.
The massage was much needed and very well done. I have had a lot of massages in my day due to back injuries I have and I enjoyed this one very much. I don’t usually get Swedish massages but I got the Groupon so I figured I could use the relaxation. Linda was gentle and had great technique, while using more pressure on the places that needed it. I felt like jello afterwards.
I will definitely be going back, and I will be recommending it to my friends too!

Margaret is So Nice and Had a Gentle touch with my laser and fillers.
Andy at the front desk is super knowledgeable and sweet. I am so happy at this spa. They had an in fared sauna that I got to try. The Aesthetician was also so amazing!!!
I will be coming back!

My go-​to spot for beauty maintenance. I do it all here — lasers, facials, botox, massage, even coolsculpt (which worked fabulously). ADORE Margaret and Andy as well as rest of the staff. So friendly and procedures are always top notch. Not to mention, rates are excellent and they have specials all the time. And open on Sundays! Seriously, look no further for a med-​spa, this is the place to go.

Donna is excellent and my skin looked clear for weeks afterwards. She is great walking advertisement, since her skin is glowing.
Andy is so friendly and helpful and really cares about skincare. Parking is always a breeze, and the Starbucks next door is very convenient. Highly recommend.

Terrible experience on my first visit! Pretty disappointing.
The therapist forgot the appointment when I showed up at the spa. Andy at front desk picked up another therapist Lisa to take care of me after 45 mins of wait. My massage started 50 mins late!
Andy was very understanding and helpful. He called me back the next day and compensated me a free massage.

I went here to get some much needed Botox. They have special on every procedure they offer on a specific day of they week, which not many places have, Every question was answered in detail, I was pleased with my results thank you!

My friend and I bought a Groupon last Fall and finally cashed it in this past week — such a great experience I wish I had gone a lot sooner!
The Groupon consisted of a facial (via Stephanie) and a massage (via Lisa) — both were incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so well at a spa from initially making the appointment (thank you Andy for your patience with the dates!) to walking in for the first time to interacting with the professionals who work there. The place is clean, relaxing and the prices are reasonable.
For me, one of the things I appreciated the most was having Stephanie take the time to explain all the details of the facial (I’ve only ever had one before… a LONG time ago) and, based on what I wanted for my skin, what the best products would be to use. One thing I want to note is that I was never made to feel I had to buy any of the products specifically sold there. I really appreciated that because when places do that you can’t really tell if it’s because the product will help or if it’s because they are just trying to make a sale.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to pamper themselves a bit. In fact, I already have my next appointment set. :)

My massage with Linda (?) was great. it was MUCH needed.
The facial with Donna was alright. A little burning during the peel and my face was red but nothing major.
I broke out a little after but I’ve been dealing with acne for at least 10 years to let this experience make me dramatic.

This is more of a ***warning** than a review. I was sold a package when I went in. I complained of some redness in my complexion. The salesperson/​nurse, Margaret had the perfect treatment for me. I told her that I was apprehensive as I was throwing a large surprise party for my sister in a few days. She assured me I would be fine. She put safety glasses on me that closed my eyes. I could hear popping & other strange sounds. She continued to say all was fine.
After, my face was red but she said that would go away. The next day I woke up to my face covered in blisters!!! I called and the woman at the desk told me, «sometimes that happens.» WHAT???
I still have facial scars from that nightmare. I should have sued. Don’t let that happen to you. Stay away!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. This place doesn’t even deserve one!
I regret coming here with a vengeance. I will never get a groupon again because places like this are being offered.
I got the deal for 3 pampering facials or massages. I opted for facial.
I go in expecting to relax and feel refreshed after so I look nice for the weekend.
From the moment I go in, I notice the back area is unkept and very odd looking. In the room the esthetician wouldn’t stop talking and starts cleansing and wiping my face with very hot wet towels, followed by pointless attempts at extractions (literally just squeezed nothing, I know where my 3 pimples were and you didn’t go close), next applies one mask (ok no prob), then a peel mask (she asked if I use retin-​a, I said yes, she ok but you aren’t peeling. It’s ok) and she proceeds. Within 10 sec I could feel burning and stinging and tell her right away, she says it’s really strong and it’s suppose to, just take it as much as you can. I said it is really not easy and hurts (been 1 ½ mins) she waits a bit longer, then again with very hot towel she wipes off the mask. That was like lava! She applied a calming lotion which also burned and I told her right away, she roughly wiped it off where it was burning with another lava towel and reapplied it, saying it will help. Then has get my stuff and go. No sorry, nothing. She just said wow your skin is sensitive. I go to the receptionist and tell her I need to speak to someone in charge. She asked why, I say here look at my red burning face. The nurse comes and takes me to back and washes my face again. It’s raw by now. Puts on a cream and says that should help. And some ice she keeps putting on and taking off which actually hurt every time she lifted it.
I go home and my face is red, burning and hurting. The next few days I am peeling badly and the one spot under my eye is getting darker and skin is cracking /​stinging. For almost 1 ½ weeks my face is peeling and now I have pigmentation and broken capillaries under my eye. It looks awful and I have to spend god knows what to try to fix the Smooth Aesthetics Medical Spa’s disaster they created on my skin.

Used my groupon here for a pampering massage and facial and left feeling pampered. Don’t let the outside fool you, the inside is clean and inviting and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great massage and a just ok facial, my skin looks great and the girl was really friendly and very gentle — I was just a little disappointed by two things: 1. she only focused on the face, no scalp or shoulder massage and no attention given to the neck. 2. I felt like she was selling me their product line while I was on the table, I’m ok with a soft sell while checking out but not while I am on the table I’m there to relax not shop.
Sadly I always kind of feel like when I go to a spa with a groupon, I get a less than standard massage or facial, like they don’t roll out the red carpet for you because you didn’t pay full price. Businesses are missing the point — show us what you got so we will come back. That said I will probably give this place a second chance, I feel like it has a lot of potential.
