Homeowners beware! I have a central heating /cooling system in my house. My heater has given me no problems, but the cooling system needed help this summer. I hired Fred to come and look at the A/C on July 1, 2014. He came, fixed the A/C and left. This winter, I find that now the heater won’t ignite. I called a different technician to come in this morning and he immediately noticed that an electrical wire has been manually disconnected from the unit, prohibiting the heater from igniting. There was no reason for the wire to have been disconnected and removing the wire requires too much force for it to have disconnected by itself. The only person who has accessed the unit all year was Fred. The first thing my new technician asked me was, «has anyone come in to work on it this summer?» saying that unfortunately it’s a common occurrence for some technicians to disconnect wires in order to ensure repeat business. It appears as though this was done to my machine. I do not recommend using Sharp’s services.

Fred is very prompt and able to handle the problem in one visit… He replaced the motor in my Kenmore refrigerator in a timely manner. He evan emptied my freezet without me asking him. Wayne A

Fred is been our designated handyman for the past four years. His work has always been professional, he is affordable, fair, and above all. honest. I trust his judgement and his intention. He has repaired our washer, dryer, and even done minor plumbing work. My wife and I simply allow no one else to serve our repair needs.

Fred has been working at the building I manage for about 6 years. He is prompt and responsible. Always informs me of the problems and informs me if is repairable or not. He repairs dishwashers, washer machines, dryers, and has done a lot of electrical work at our building. We are satisfied with his work.

We saw the reviews on Angie’s List and placed a call to Fred to look at our range and fridge. He came out, did some work on the fridge, said he needed to get parts for the stove and left… neither of them worked. Came back a few days later, changed out the thermostat on the fridge, took down some more numbers from the stove and said he’d come back. Fridge started to cool again but stove was still broken. The third time he came back, tried to install some parts on the stove, mumbled under his breath about the parts not working and he «wouldn’t get his money back for the parts» and he left again. Stove still doesn’t work. Two weeks later I had to call him as we had not heard from him. He indicated that he was going to try some other parts on the stove but didn’t really want to because he didn’t think it would work. I asked him point blank if the stove needed to be replaced and he said yes. I was frustrated he didn’t tell me this two weeks prior but I moved on. Fast forward about a month. Open the fridge and the thermostat reads 65 degrees even though the fridge is on the lowest setting. Call Fred to see if he can come and look at it, and he begins to dispute the date of service even though it’s written on the invoice. He indicates that he can come out the next morning but unfortunately that time doesn’t work for me. He got very defensive, ugly on the phone, kept asking me «what do you want me to do» and would become even more hostile when I said I wanted him to do the job I had paid him for. He became very aggressive on the phone, extremely rude and finally said when he got time he’d call me back. I will never, ever use this man again. If he can’t fix something, he needs to be honest enough to come right out and say it needs to be replaced instead of stringing you along and trying to fix something that may be beyond repair. Unprofessional, arrogant and overall a huge F!
