Play N Trade

I never had any problems personally with the people that worked there. I only come to this place as an alternative to other game outlet stores. I also like how they carry retro games which is another reason why I come here. Wait until emulators come out! They try to pressure you into a membership you’ll never use. The games are a bit expensive. This place scammed my friend into upgrading his hard drive on his PS3 from 120GB to 500GB and charged him $ 250 with data transfer. OUTRAGEOUS!

Never had any problems with be employees like others mention here. Have you ever known one of these places NOT to be a ripoff?
I like that they have retro games but the selection is totally lame, it’s essentially all the shovelware unplayable games for nes/​SNES/​genesis. There was like ten copies of the little mermaid for nes and the wanted $ 9 for it! I can buy an amazing nes game like metroid for $ 2 on amazon, why would I pay more for less.
On top of this the store just reeks! I think it’s because they leave their food garbage from lunch rotting in the trash behind the counter.

Step inside of here and you’ll think you’re buying a used car. The owner is very shifty, shady, and sketch. SSS. Which also translates to $$$ because that’s what this place is, a RIPOFF. But hey, to their credit, pretty much ALL Play N Trade’s are.
If you thought it couldn’t get worse than Gamestop, look again. Gamestop may try to upsell you some new preorder or coverage, but this place takes the cake. I feel like I’m in Agrabah haggling over rugs. AND I DON’T EVEN WANT TO BUY THE RUG.
They had a brand new Animal Crossing New Leaf Nintendo 3DS XL for almost double the price, the day it came out, but said they were sold out of preorders. So basically they pulled a Gamestop, and just marked up the price. Even Gamestop will at least sell it to you for it’s original cost if no one picked it up.
Steer clear. Some of these places might have some deals, but it’s not worth stepping into this one.

I preordered here one time and they didn’t even get my game. They also refused to refund my money. This manager is the worst, he is pushy and rude. He also buys products from walmart to resell at an inflated price. His employees even have tax exempt cards that say church of play n trade so they can avoid paying taxes when they buy their scam products.
