Pearlman Microphones

This is the former location shown (Magnolia), I have been to the new location on Victory Bl, about 6 blocks North of this. Dave Pearlman started years ago, building replicas of VERY expensive microphones, but for a lot less money. I still love vintage mics but (for the money) his are very seriously in the same range.
Now he makes his own designs alongside the previous «replications». I auditioned dozens of mics for drum overheard (many famous models) and his smaller TM1 won the contest, everyone thought they were the best for this situation.
You are allowed to come by the shop by appointment only, but you can see Dave work, have him adjust a microphone or check it over for you (his microphones). If you become a regular client, he often helps people out with advice or custom tweaks to make your Pearlman mic exactly how you want it. And he answers his own phone, bending over backwards sometimes for demanding clients. One man show — and it’s a great one. Right next door to Rock and Roll Doctor amp shop on Victory.
