This place is my go-to for takeout. I am a big fan of their service when eating in, also, but I always go at lunchtime and it’s often pretty packed. I really like their pad kee mao(spicy noodles/drunken noodles — same thing). Beware — their«mild» heat is more like medium, which I usually order. I opt for mild here. I only take 1 star off because of the spice thing. I know several people at my office who have ordered something with medium heat from there and been totally overwhelmed by it. Otherwise, SO yummy, and great service! Usually super fast delivery to Burbank, too.

Delicious! Just ordered lunch for my two co-workers and myself. We received our food within 20 minutes! It was all accurate, and the food was delicious! The chicken was nice and tender, all of the flavors were on point, even the soup was good. This is now our new go to thai restaurant!

I have been getting thai food from here for years, and should’ve reviewed it sooner. I LOVE Exotic Thai. Friendly service for both take out and eat in. Met a friend for dinner here Monday night and we had a great dinner. We tried a new appetizer — it was like a sale wrapped in a spring roll wrapper. Refreshing and delish! My friend had a salad with rice noodles and really liked it. I had catfish in red curry. WOW! Great flavor and the catfish was REALLY good! If you are in downtown and want Thai — come here! Bring friends, entertain clients, surprise your significant other. It’s a can’t miss.

I would give them 5 stars but too many things are an issue so I cant. 1st of all the prices are way too high I mean 40%higher than any other Thai place in close proximity. The portions seem to get smaller and smaller and quality is a hit or miss. Our menu had different prices than what we were charged. We ended up being charged an extra $ 5 more for absolutly nothing accept their prices changed apparently but they made a mistake and didn’t change the price on the menu we were given. Wtf? The ladies were nice but service was also a miss. The quality was ok we ordered the chicken sticks aka satay and they were just good. The peanut sauce had a taste of hoisin sauce and look of it not the peanut buttery creaminess we are used to from thai places. The crispy roti bread with their yellow curry sauce for dipping was really delicious but so over priced. You can purchase the roti in the frozen section and heated for a pack of 5 for $ 3. This tasted exactly like what we have purchased from Thai markets. The sauce was noteworthy though. The most disaster tasting dish was a Thai signature coconut soup. It tasted so sickly sweet instead of a nice kick and bold coconut creaminess to it. Sad dissapointing for us. Had we not remembered the prices we saw on he menu we would have over paid even more than we were. They need to get their stuff together judging by the other negative reviews we weren’t alone in our review. Place is spacious and inviting I will give them that.

This is my regular spot to eat Thai food, which to me is the best in Burbank and surrounding cities including North Hollywood, Glendale, etc. My son and I ordered(takeout) Chicken Satay, Tom Kah Shrimp soup, Papaya Salad, Larb Chicken, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry with Chicken, Antioxidant Vegetables with Tofu, and Thai Omelette, All was very delicious. We had a lot leftover and will enjoy over the next couple of days. Waitress and owner are so nice and helpful with answering any questions.

Over priced and the quality is poor. Service is horrible! I’m giving a one star because I don’t have a choice.

Very organized and clean place — great interiors. The ladies working there are amazing and very friendly(great smiles actually :)) Served us a great meal — I got an Exotic Thai fried rice plate. Worth trying people with shrimp /tomatoes /beef or chicken /and obviously fried rice

Tonight, the Pad See Ew and the Pepper Garlic Shrimp dishes were especially good. I’ve eaten here many times in the years since moving to California: the food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent.

The Thai food here is at least 4 and half stars. My boyfriend and I have tried Pad Thai, Pad See U, BBQ pork ribs, BBQ chicken and pepper garlic shrimp here. Very well flavored food. The ambience is really nice and staff friendly. Highly recommend.

This place used to be good. Now delivery food was disappointing. Too small portions for the price compared to other places. I ordered soup without meat so it would be less expensive. They still charged me for the meat but didn’t put any in. This is the worst soup I’ve ever tasted., like water with some mushrooms. No flavor at all. I probably could have made it better. They charge you $ 2 delivery fee when other places are free. Then expect a tip on top. If you think I’m making this up then try Siam Smile Thai in Burbank and see for yourself what good quality food for a good price really is.

Yummy and very authentic Thai food. I had delivery through Grubhub and was not disappointed. I loved their Thai tea and eggrolls as well as the sashimi tuna salad

Ordered red curry with shrimp + brown rice. Delicious! Great consistency, flavor, and heat. Portion was packed with bamboo shoots and shrimp. Happy I gave them a try despite a less than 4-star average rating.

Used to work at Pizza Hut a couple of shops down from this location, so long hours at work, meant lunch was always going to be at Exotic Thai. Delicious, i’ve been going to exotic thai for years and that’s the only word I could come up with to describe this gem of a place. My go-to’s are Green Curry, Red Curry, Chicken Satay with peanut sauce(more peanut sauce please!) and Tom Kah. The green curry is delicious and so is the red. The chicken satay is nice, juicy and that peanut sauce just took it over the moon. Surprisingly, I was never a fan of lemon grass, but after trying my friends Tom Kah, when she ordered it once, I knew I had to get this soup every time I came. Staff is friendly, check up on you every once in a while to make sure everything is okay and inside is spacious and clean. I’m not going to lie, it’s been a while since i’ve been here, so I haven’t seen any of the new changes, or know if the food is any different, but from eating here almost every long workday, I could confidently say I loved it.

We had a nice lunch here after a long time of not visiting the place. We find the menu to be creative; a bit different than the typical Thai restaurant. Ordered different fish lunch specials. Servings are large, we end up with left-overs for the next day. Very much worth a visit.

This is our go to place for Thai food, actually our call to place because we have never actually ate at the restaurant lol we always order for delivery! The food is delicious! My favorites is the exotic fried rice, that thing is delicious! The tum yum soup and pad thai are ok, I’ve had better at other places. As far as customer service, they are always super friendly and patient over the phone whenever we order! They are also always on time, if they say 45 minutes they actually do get here at 45 minutes on the dot! We have ordered from here so many times and will keep ordering as long as we live in this area!

Since my mom does not use Unilocal,I thought I would review in her stead over possibly the most distasteful and disrespectful dining experience I’ve heard of. If possible I would give ET0 stars over treating any customer let alone a long time returning customer the way their manager did. My family and I have been eating at Exotic Thai for 7 – 8 years. It seems that a couple years back, they had switched owners. Almost without fail, each time we go we order the Basil Whole Catfish(fried and drizzled with a sweet basil sauce). Typically I split this with both my mom and my sister. As per the usual, my mom and my sister requested the fish be fried a little less so as to not dry it out. We’ve never had a real problem with this since the restaurant staff, although still frying it pretty dry, never ruined the fish. However, in this particular visit, perhaps the fish was smaller and despite the fried less request, the server brought out a fish that was basically fried into jerky. They could barely see the white flesh under the crispy layer. Knowing my family, I don’t doubt the food would have to be pretty horrible to get sent back as we almost never do so. My mom waved the server over and told them how dried out the fish was, and the server was apologetic, eventually calling over the manager/owner. She argued with my mom/sister for a while saying that this is how the fish always is, it’s never changed, etc — basically avoiding any blame or trying to fix something to satisfy the customer. Naturally my mom told her we had been going to ET for years and have always ordered the fish, NEVER having it come out that way. With a terrible attitude, the manager took the fish back into the kitchen saying, «Fine I’ll fix it for you», not saying any kind of apology or even HOW it was going to be fixed. A while later, the fish returned… How did she«fix» it? She steamed it. What happens to a fried fish when you steam it? It becomes soggy and disgusting. Obviously this was not even a remotely acceptable solution which my mom brought up to the manager, to which she simply replied, «You wanted it less dry so it not dry anymore». A few more exchanged sentences later, the manager straight up told my mom, «Next time don’t order this anymore ok?» Can you be any less professional? Congratulations on singlehandedly losing the business of a family of four plus friends that come to town and eat at ET. Will NEVEREVER return. If this was a manager, for the sake of their reputation, the owners should step up and fire her. Disgusting attitude.
