I happened upon this place just driving by and seeing their cat condos outside, no sign or big huzpah, just a small warehouse really.
I came in and met Julio, who I wasn’t sure if he worked there or not because he just starting talking to me and then I asked about prices and he showed me the book they have. Just some paper stapled together, nothing fancy.
We found a condo we liked, but wanted to make some adjustments and he said ‘No problem!’ And let us pick the carpet color too. Julio daylights as a flooring/​carpeting company for houses, but at night, he becomes the Mighty Cat Condo Maker. There are some intense condos being made. Like full on shaped and colored like trees. And TALL. Like a real tree.
These things are STURDY. Made with strong wood and thick carpet. Seems like you’d have to have a lion to tear this thing apart.
Julio said if anything happens or the carpet gets torn up he would repair. Talk about service! He was more concerned about our needs than his sale. He said he wanted us to be happy. He came up with this business as a way to supplement his other business when it is slow. I’m sorry not sorry, but that impresses me so much! Taking a skill you have and finding a creative way to profit.
We placed our order and $ 130 later we were peace out. (We got a condo about 5 feet tall with three levels, rope on the sides for scratching and a string play rope hanging from the third level). I did not feel gouged on this price.
We headed to Petco next to stock up on supplies (this is our first pet btw, getting two kitties!) and we saw their Cat Condos. Firstly, overpriced and half done! Some of their condos don’t have carpet on the insides! And you could tip them over easily. You could feel the quality difference. Do not buy from Petco. Julio sells all sizes and will custom make!
The material Julio uses are sturdy and you can feel good that you are helping pay his rent and feed his family and not funding a wealthy guys Yacht project. (Seriously though, Petco is owned by private equity firms).
They take Credit Cards, no Amex though (of course not, no one takes them!)
He said two days and it would be done. And they do deliver, for a small fee
$ 25 for 15 miles
$ 50 over 50 miles
And they will trash for you as well for $ 40.

I found C&C by driving by on Burbank Blvd. and noticing the cat trees and condos they had outside. I stopped in one day and found their cat trees to be extremely well made — and hand made! I ordered one on the spot and a few days later it was ready for pickup. The guys helped me get it into my car and my cats absolutely love it. I’m stopping by again to order another one.
For reference, their trees and condos are around the same price as those at big box pet stores but as they’re handmade, the quality is not even comparable. They have a book you choose from and the options are great. I couldn’t recommend this place any higher if you’re looking for cat furniture. I wish I could tag their business as not being just carpet because the cat furniture is amazing!
