Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley

I am a member at the Boys and Girls Club, and during summer, I go to Main Club! It is really fun. They have really good stations like the Tech Lab and Games Room. Every Tuesday and Thursday, they also play baseball at this park. There is also field trips and you can go to park. They even have chess tournaments. I think the Boys and Girls Club is a very good program, because it teaches you things that you might not know, and it prepares you for the future. For example, in September of 2014, I did not know how to play chess. But this cool guy named Kevin taught me how to play chess, and now I know how to think ahead-​not just in chess, but in all other things, such as sports or plans for the future. I recommend it to anyone that wants to make their kids more responsible because the staff teach you a lot about responsibility and a lot of other traits that you need in order to be a successful person in the future. Well, by now, you’d think I’m just trying to write a convincing letter, but all this is actually true. If you pay attention and you do what people tell you to do here, you’ll be fine. I’m a member here, and I’ve been here for two years. I hardly ever get in trouble, and sometimes it pays off. (One day, a staff gave me free ice cream.) So, when you come, if you come, do the right thing, make friends, have fun, and you’ll be fine.
P. S. Celtics and Giants are the worst.

I am a volunteer here but I have to say this place is filled with love & magic.
The staff are some of the most committed, loving individuals I have met. They have so any cool activities for the kids and all include the FUN factor.
I wish I had a place like this growing up. Inspiration and creativity are encouraged every day!

street parking is limited to 2 hours, but there is plenty of it within walking distance

all activities are arranged to be age-​appropriate
science. technology. computer. etc.
just to give you an idea on how ahead they are… they watch TEDTALKS!

i can not say enough terrific things about the organization’s administration and employees
they have the extraordinary ability to walk the fine line between being fun and engaging with the kids while maintaining order and discipline
i had the pleasure of working with a few of them and was impressed to learn that some of them range from high school to college age… youths themselves!
