On Feb 19,2016 at 7:24 we decided to eat here. Worse food and service I ever had. first time I did not tip. There was 3 of us. my boyfriend, my son and myself. We order 2 sprites and 1 tea. Sprites came back flat and they didn’t know how to fix it so we order water. We order 3 sushi rolls and 3 dinners. My son had shrimp and noodles. He had very small shrimp. Boy friend had curry dish. Looked horrible. I had a beef teriki bowl with veggies. By the time I got my food, boyfriend and my son was already done eating. Not good. Our sushi rolls came after we finish our meal. When we wanted it before the meal. We only got one order. By this time it’s was ready 8:43 pm. I just wanted the bill and we went home. This place was a waste of time, food was not fresh and a waste of our good money. I will stick to Minato or Samri Steakhouse. The crazy thing is they only had 6 tables. We will never go there again. Horrible food and service. What a waste of a family dinner and our time. Never again…

Wanted to like this place so bad. Our service was slow but that lady was trying her best being it was just her covering ALL the tables. My spider roll that I ordered — I thought it was gonna be bigger like the ones here in California — but it was a small regular roll. My sons said their rolls were ok. I did, however, LOVE their salmon nigiri! Huge slice of salmon on small rice. Not sure if I would eat here again though.

Really cool looking inside, as for the food, it was horrible. The chicken teriyaki was awful, chicken tasted microwaved and old, sauce was gross. Spicy tuna roll tasted like the tuna was from a can, not fresh and I felt a bad mix of flavors. Complained about the chicken teriyaki that had one bite taken from it, and still was charged full price. Definitely won’t be back.

I have been eating here a few years… Surprising this is my first review. Hurricane Ahi roll(picture posted) was to die for tonight!!! Love the atmosphere here and would recommend to others! A++ Not sure about any bad reviews already posted maybe just an off day… I have never had a bad experience. My kids LOVE the California Rolls and the miso soup. Last week we had 4 specialty rolls(Rainbow, Cabo, Riverside, and hurricane) kids had the California Rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious! My mother-in-law likes the #2 special, she gets it every time we go for lunch. There’s teriyaki chicken with rice, salad, miso soup, CA rolls and a couple pieces of fruit on a huge tray(bento) and its only $ 12.95!!! They also have a stamp card, buy 12 lunches get one FREE! AND… there’s a sign that says FREE California roll and 10% of on your birthday!!!

We came here at 8:30 on Saturday night. Only three tables busy in the entire restaurant and the server was overwhelmed. Our glasses were empty for most of the meal, we had to ask multiple times for condiments. The sushi was less than great but we ate it because we were starving. Maybe the cooked food is better but the sushi here is meh… not coming back.

Came here on my birthday it was a Thursday night. It is very nicely decorated and I loved the music. My husband wanted a Ramen and that’s exactly what he ordered. It was delicious. I got the beef short ribs and that was delicious too. The server was super sweet. There was a cucumber salad to die for. I highly recommend this place. I will be back in February.

I was told about a sharp-looking Japanese restaurant in Bullhead City, and agreed to check it out. After now having done so, it was a pleasing new find. First off, after passing through a fairly plain storefront exterior, a whole different scene is visible inside. The décor is colorful, gorgeous, and quite striking. With a garden theme, the ambiance is serene – perfect for delicate Japanese fare. To start I opted for a sashimi and sushi special that yielded 5 slices of sushi and 8 pieces of Spicy Tuna Roll. The sushi was bright and obviously fresh, and the sushi was comprised mostly of White Rice yet still yummy dipped in low-sodium Kikkoman Soy Sauce. What I didn’t realize at the time was that this special came with rice, salad, and melon, and was treated like an entrée. So it arrived at our booth at the same time as what I perceived to be my real entrée. That was an order of Beef Teriyaki and Mixed Tempura that came in an artfully decorated covered bento bowl along with 4 pieces of California Roll, rice, and salad. Preceded by an interesting salad composed of lettuce, tomato pieces, broccoli, and carrot slivers bathed in a vibrant Sesame Dressing, the California Roll was fairly standard but the tempura(3 pieces of fried shrimp and 4 pieces of fried vegetables) dipped in complimentary Tempura Sauce stood out as above the ordinary. Shrimps were especially meaty and long, and Diane was served 5 of these golden beauties as a stand-alone appetizer. Miso Soup with tiny cubes of tofu and a few Green Onion circles contained a soothing gut-warming broth that felt hot all the way down. The covered Beef Teriyaki stayed warm while I finished my sushi and sashimi. And, when at length I got to it, the beef was indeed tender, and the Teriyaki Sauce delicious. When Diane asked if she could buy some she was informed that it was made from scratch on the stove. So she will just have to experiment in the kitchen herself, or find a better store brand than she has sampled thus far. Service was friendly, and good once all ducks got in a row. Until then I had to remind our server that I had asked for water and our group of 3 had requested silverware. Extra napkins were quickly produced, and more hot water when hot tea ran out. Alas, Sukiyaki is not served here. And there is no teppanyaki grill. This is a nice, cute, and refined Japanese restaurant situated in Bullhead City to which I will surely return. Ironically three of my five favorite restaurants along Highway 95 in this vicinity now serve Asian food.

The owner is BATSHITCRAZY. He supposedly went to a sushi school in Russia. We’ve been coming here at lease two years almost once a week. They recently fired the sushi chef so the owners been preparing the sushi. He’s SLOW and RUDE. One time we ordered, kitchen food was right out, we didn’t get the sushi for an hour and a half. We ordered one more order of 2 pc. Nigeri and the owner said he ran out of rice. Then tonight our order took an hour again, we ordered one more order of Nigeri for my 8 year old, and he told us we couldn’t order anymore. For no reason. Since the previous chef the prices have gone up and portions of quality have gone down dramatically. Never going again. Go back to Russia!

To be in middle of no where, this place was not bad at all. The place is very nice an relaxing, almost like a little oasis. I ordered a lunch special number one, it brought two rolls, one shrimp tempura roll and a cali roll with salad and rice as your side with a miso soup. It was 12.95 which is an average price for sushi. I would recommend this place. the service was good, the girl was very patient and under4standing that we seemed a little irritated since it was 120 ° outside.

The owner lived in Russia for 10 years and taught sushi making. Very respectable restaurant chef. Reasonable price, speedy/friendly service, and delicious sushi. The interior is decorated with extravagant Japanese style items, which is absolutely adorable and peaceful. There is no hibachi here so you don’t walk out smelling like you have been to a smoke house. It’s clean and welcoming. This is the only authentic Japanese place in town. I’ve had plenty of sushi before and trust the owner of Tokyo Garden!

Went to Tokyo Garden Christmas Eve. Great Food, Great Service and brought back memories from our 5 years in Japan, 40+ years ago. Dinner is a little spendy, but you get plenty of food, well prepared. Lunch prices are very reasonable. The décor is a little exaggerated Japanese, but it was clean, entertaining and attractive. Never been a Sushi-ite, even when in Japan, but their California rolls were very good. Will try the shrimp next time. Good variety. We will return again.

My buddy and I have had dinner here several times in the last few months. The food and service have both been excellent. Mostly I have a bento style box with rolls and/or tempura. Mary has taken care of us these last couple of visits. She does a wonderful job of looking out for our needs without being intrusive. Her enthusiasm is infectious. I look forward to my next visit.

Worst service ever been waiting over an hr and no food. People walked out because waitresses were not attending to them. Tempera in my roll was soggy and when I returned the food back they got upset. AVOID

3 of us ate at Tokyo Garden tonight, unfortunately terrible. The waitress was rude, she didn’t refill drinks, and didn’t bring us the spoon we asked for so my friend could eat her soup, she had to use mine when I was done with it. The Miso soup was cold when we got it, one of our rolls came out rather quickly but the other food took another 30 minutes. The rice on the rolls wouldn’t stay on, I’ve never had sushi that I couldn’t pick up with chopsticks, it literally just fell apart as if it had been sitting out too long. Sadly I won’t be coming back.

The Mexican and riverside rolls were great. Great portion size and the garlic ponzu was definitely made fresh. Garlic tuna had huge slices of fish with wasabi mixed into the rice. Nice kick. Ambiance was mellow with the floral decorations and relaxing atmosphere. A great place to relax and enjoy some fun rolls.

Great little addition to Bullhead City. We ordered gyoza and miso soup to start, both good. We then ordered salmon nigiri, octopus nigiri, yellowtail nigiri, tuna roll, caterpillar roll, and the royal flush specialty roll. All were fresh and delicious. They served the rolls as they were prepared, some took a little long to get to us. The prices could be a little better. Not the most expensive sushi, but not the cheapest. Specialty rolls were all around $ 15. We will be visiting again. They also have a cool punch card deal. 12 lunches get one free. We didn’t order«lunches» and still received two punches. :) try it out! Hope it stays!

The service wasn’t the fastest. Ill give it a full 5, the price, presentation and the nice staff are well worth the money. The quality of food is that of Minatos and the Japanese steak house and at half the cost. I suggest you try it, the business is still in its infancy and are currently working to improve there service.
