Technicians are always courteous and efficient. I like the way they call before they show up. They pointed out potential problem areas for future consideration and explained my options.

I have Pitzer’s «Comfort Contract» which includes 2 prepaid service calls for each of the Ben Franklin Plumbers and Pitzer’s One Hour HVAC services. Due to some scheduling difficulties on their end, my appointment for the furnace cleaning kept getting pushed back. After letting them make several changes I was coming close to having to give up on getting service. I finally had a firm appointment for yesterday, but they called again and asked if they could come today instead(New Year’s Eve!) between 1 and 5 pm, but then they woke me up early this morning, wanting to postpone the service until next week(next year, actually). I said NO. Then I got up and saw that it was raining. By noon the rain turned into something Bullhead has not seen in 30 years(?) — SNOW! I was starting to feel like the Grinch who Stole Christmas and felt awful to think of the HVAC guy having to come out in the snow. But as I picked up the phone to call and cancel the appointment, Frank just then drove up, an hour early. He was so professional and so nice and when I suggested maybe that he should just forget about trying to work in this weather, he insisted that it was no problem at all and that he would be happy to do the work. Since it was prepaid and there would be no other opportunity for the work to be done under contract at a later date, I said go ahead. After the cleaning and inspection, Frank was very clear in explaining some minor repairs that he recommended, but there was no pressure at all and none of the scare tactics that a lot of HVAC guys use. I asked a lot of questions and Frank had seemingly endless patience and provided clear and complete answers. Furthermore, he had the parts needed in his truck and was able to make the repairs on the spot. So now my heater is cleaned and fixed and the repairs have a 2-year warranty. It is still snowing, but my little cottage is toasty warm and I have assurance that it will stay that way. I just wanted to thank you, again, Frank for a great job and to tell your bosses that you are for sure a keeper.

Expensive but worth it. I would have preferred it be cheaper but then I found out the previously«cheaper» people we went through last year scammed us because they only replaced the fan and not the whole capacitor. Which was crappy because we paid $ 260 to have our old capacitor stay in with a new fan. Seriously. Dear, Glacier – never again! The Pitzer guy(Frank) was super shocked. Our capacitor literally exploded. I keep wanting to put flux in front of it: D Well the service fee was $ 129. Now our AC went out at 2:30am and did not help my migraine one bit… So, I had to call around to many different places. Every place I called up said they weren’t 24-hours. WTF? Its funny because their websites said so! ALL of them! It’s AZ it’s like living in the middle of hell and you would think that there would be a 24 hour AC place! Seriously?! Well Pitzer said they were 24 hours too – I got someone on the phone she was super nice but the call kept dropping but I kept calling back. They had my info from last year since I called them and said never mind because of the crazy service fee. But I needed them this year. So, the lady on the phone gave me two times.(note it was only 3am) The first time was 6:30 — 8:30 for $ 129or 9:30 — 12:30 for $ 89. It’s 90 degrees in my house and I have animals I picked the earliest one. So I hung up feeling okay that we would be getting cool air in three hours. Now, I waited until 8:40am(having like 4 hours of sleep and grumpy) nobody showed up. I was an angry panda. I called them and asked what the hell. It kind of got shady here because the dude said they never told me that(LIE) and even though it was in the 2nd bracket time I’d still have to pay the $ 129. I was not happy but desperate to get some air. What do you know? Not ten mins after I call there he is! HUH! So he was very nice. I really liked the tech – Frank you did a great job! He was nice and answered all of my grumpy bear questions. He put on these little plastic footy things on his shoes(it began to rain) when he entered my house. I thought it was the little things that were thoughtful. He looked at the thermostat and asked me about the problem then we went outside and within like ten mins I could feel cool air. I was a happy camper. There is no price on having cold air in the arm pit of hell. He was super nice and explained everything and even stayed like 30 mins to make sure the new capacitor worked and the house got chilled. I ended up paying $ 409. I wanted to die right there. WOW. $ 249 for the part/labor that took under ten mins. I don’t really understand that. But I paid a little extra to become a member. The extra fee was $ 19 otherwise I would’ve paid $ 390. Why not? You get to have maintenance check ups to make sure this doesn’t happen again and a 1 – 2 year warranty on your AC Capacitor. Save me a bit next time. They call you and remind you when it should be looked at. Which is good because I have a Dorey memory. I wasn’t clear on if we would have to pay again or if it was free but if its a warranty that means free right? Frank had some kind of tablet that he was writing everything on and that’s how he did my debit card. I liked that the place had more technological stuff VS glacier that took my debit card number down on paper. I do think the prices should be cheaper but I am still very satisfied with what I got. And the fact that this place is kind of 24 hours already gives an advantage. Being cheaper could be another advantage but they have to make money to have the equipment that they have. Overall, I am pleased and if you are in a jam with your AC check them out. I got a fridge magnet too so I could remember them. Cracked me up. They’re okay in my book.
