Laughlin Riverview Resort

If you’re looking for a cheap MOTEL by the week close to Laughlin Casinos, this is the place.
I suppose for a $ 135 a week, what did I expect. To be fair the rooms have been renovated and are fairly attractive. They allowed our dogs and the staff were very friendly, they also both live on site which brought me some comfort… They have a nice pool and a hot tub… which was closed for repairs the entire week. They have a washer & dryer on site… the dryer trips the breaker, turns off and doesn’t get your clothes dry. Next to the dryer is a sign the informs you «USE AT YOUR OWN RISK»… Don’t worry there is a laundromat close by.
The not so great: I felt the need to carry my gun the entire week we were here. (thanks AZ gun laws) Most of the rooms are occupied by long term renters… I had a sincerely frightening encounter with one of the young women who live there. I made the mistake one night of allowing my dogs to walk to the room from the car (maybe 20 feet) off leash and failed to notice a man and a young woman outside smoking with what must have been a dog of their own. My boyfriend and I rushed over upon hearing shouting as our big dog and her dog (also unleashed) must have started fighting. As we reached her door (only seconds had passed) she was kicking our dog in the ribs while the man disappeared into the room with their large black dog. (Side note: they have a 50lb weight limit on dogs which they made seem like they were doing us some huge favor allowing us to stay there and this black dog makes 2 dogs over 50lbs that we saw while we were staying there.) She proceeded to get in my boyfriend’s face while screaming profanity at us. My boyfriend moved our dog out of legs length and got him to the room while I apologized & scooped up our little dogs. I asked if her dog was ok, fully prepared to mend any injury and admitting my fault. She told me «not to worry about her F**king dog» and proceeded to slam the door in my face. Needless to say I stayed in my room the rest of the week and kept my outings to a minimum. And no I did not report this incident to the management for fear of my tires or my face being slashed by this lovely young woman.
On another day I was letting the dogs out to pee while my boyfriend stood in the doorway to keep an eye on us, and out of nowhere a little girl walked up and pushed past my boyfriend into our room. I repeat, this little girl we had never seen before walked right past my boyfriend into our room… I allowed her to pet the dogs, which she took as an invitation to take the leash from my hands and «walk» one of my dogs… It took me about ten minutes to get my dog back (I honestly didn’t know what to do I didn’t want to be mean). Her mom finally emerged with their own little dog and snatched the leash from her hands (giving me the look like I was an idiot for not taking my dog back). She proceeded to grip her daughters arm in a manner I am sure left a mark, and the young girl latched onto the dumpster like she didn’t want to go with her mother.
Needless to say we left a day early… But again… It was 135 dollars a week… You get what you pay for… But Laughlin Riverview Resort… Does not have a river view… and to call it a resort. well… is a stretch.

Great reasonable weekly stay with helpful, charming management.
Recently renovated rooms include refrigerator and microwave and cable. Outside small barbeque with outside pool and nonworking spa.
Conveniently located to local bus service, ($ 1.00)where you can easily get to Laughlin riverwalk via free water taxi, or into town. Short walking distance also to Humbertos and Earls Castle restaurants. Community park nearby with enclosed dog park. No wifi and no coffee pots, still overall a great place for a snowbird escape.
