Shoal Creek Campground

Awful. Don’t waste your $ 40 to camp here. The management of the Islands does not seem to care about this beautiful piece of land. Rotten wood steps in most sites, broken picnic tables missing their benches, trash and glass in sites, no soap or toilet paper in the comfort stations and thick mold in the shower walls in both men and women’s facilities, huge pot holes on most loops and unlevel sites with large roots growing under the blacktop. We were there 5 days and never saw anyone from the campground checking on sites though there were always plenty of young adults hanging out in the office. This is a true gem they are allowing to decay. They do offer a discount to the Water Park, but we came for the view and lake. Don’t confuse this park with the one at the Islands.

Great camp ground! Very rustic and most sites on the water. Very nice! My only complaint is that people leave garbage laying around and don’t pick up after themselves. And the park for some reason doesn’t either.

Great hidden boat ramp/​campsite! It’s not as crowded as the other boat ramps are! $ 8 daily parking. The parking meter is kinda hidden. It’s over towards the dock. Make sure you pay! Someone drives around & checks cars for paid parking passes. So far, no problems with known break-​in but keep valuables with yourself just in case.
