I went to Karma Salon yesterday for my first time visit. My husband bought me a groupon for Christmas. I went to the salon and Paola was my stylist. She was super nice and friendly. After my conversations with her I learned she was doing an internship to get her license. I was ok with that because I have had my hair done by students before. She spoke with me about what I wanted and was very detailed. What really annoyed me was that I was there a few minutes and she says to me that I need to pay $ 30 for more color and $ 55 for toner. I paid $ 60 for the groupon and now looking at adding $ 85 to the price. Which would be a total of $ 125 for a hair cut and partial highlight. That doesn’t seem like any deal since that is what it cost if I went in without a groupon. The only other little aggravation I have is that I asked for bangs and she just kind of chopped them off. The owner helped shape them, but I still don’t think they are right. I wish they were a little longer and more shaped at an angle. Overall a nice experience and friendly staff, but no deal with groupon.

Today I had THE best haircut of my life!!! This salon by far is bar none compared to others that I have been serviced at in the past. From the moment that I stepped into the the salon, I was welcomed with warm, friendly, and caring stylists. They did not just tell me what ‘I wanted to hear’, but what was the God honest truth. I was blessed to have my hair styled and cut by the owner/master stylist Julie. Let me tell you that if a glorious cut is what you want, that is exactly what you will get with Julie! I can’t wait to get my hair colored on my next visit. Karma Salon and Spa is a must visit salon for all of your beauty needs and then some.

Beautiful décor horrible service. Took 3 hours to get my hair trimmed. The owner/«top stylist» did my hair but was not a very good listener. It is possible she felt crunched for time since her child had an event she needed to get ready for. However it was not a good first impression and it will be the last time I visit. Her employees seemed very nice and attentive to their clients. I wish I could’ve had a different stylist.

Place is nicely decorated. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Felt comfortable and at ease. Used a groupon which was a great deal and was told upfront about any additional charges that would be added. Hair looks great! I will return.

to me Danielle, as the owner of Karma Salon and Spa, I would first like to respond to your completely out of line comments to my stylists. For you to write a review online and reference someone’s weight, physical appearance, or anything that refers to a person’s body image is completely outrageous. I am absolutely shocked that someone would act that way to another human being. That was completely uncalled for, obnoxious, and rude. I truly feel sorry for whatever issues you might have with yourself or others. I feel like anyone who lashes out at others must have some internal issues that need to be dealt with. As far as your services, you loved your hair and it looked amazing. I am sorry that you thought you were being sold to, but my entire staff are all master cosmetologist and are very professional. The only reason anyone would recommend an additional service would be to better your hair and your satisfaction with your services. I would like to apologize to you if you felt like my stylist over did anything, but it would have truly been for your benefit. I know that you made the comment that you liked Heather and I really appreciate that and she does as well. Heather is a great stylist and is great at what she does. However, you did request to be as blond as possible so that could have required extra color. Our Groupon does clearly state that if any additional services are rendered or extra color is used, there will be an additional charge. Every situation is different, so you referencing the above client and the response is not relevant. You hair was extremely thick and past the shoulders is considered long in this industry, I am sure your sister who does hair as well would agree. I wanted to go ahead and pull this quote directly from our Groupon so you could read it as well. I didn’t want you to think we were being shady, so I wanted to double check for myself and make sure we did have everything out in the open for all of our potential clients. «The Fine Print Expires 180 days after purchase. See the rules that apply to all deals.» I took this directly from our Groupon page right under the deal. It is right there in plain site because we didn’t want anyone to read your review and be misconstrued by some of the things that you stated in your above comment. I am truly upset that you will not be returning because you looked great and I know you were pleased with your services. The Groupon is made for potential clients to come in and experience how awesome my stylists are and how great they are at what they do. I have selected my stylists by hand and I believe in them and their ways. I would love for you to come back in; however you have made it very clear by your extremely rude actions and comments about my salon and my staff that you will not be returning. I just want others to read this response and your comment and consider the entirety of the situation. Karma Salon and Spa is a great place to work and to have your hair serviced.
