Let me start off by saying that their pomegranate lemon drop martini was to die for. I will be craving that until I go back there for that alone! We sat separately from the restaurant as we had a large group. The service was fast, however our server was not very friendly. When I asked a question about the martini(is it really strong? As I usually don’t drink martinis because they taste very strong) and she rolled her eyes and said«it’s a martini». With that response I shouldn’t have gotten it but I’m glad I chanced it and did, because it didn’t taste overly strong at all. Then she rolled her eyes and made a snotty comment to my friend who asked if there was anything vegetarian on the menu. She said the chef could just make her a vegetable pasta and my friend agreed thinking that he would get creative with it and put some artichokes or something different in it. When it arrived it had green beans, broccoli and corn in it. Really? Lol. I ordered the scallops and they were good by themselves but there were over this salty mushroom pasta and covered in(presumably boxed) fried onions. Also it was very expensive and the menu didn’t have too many choices. Anyway– I will be back for the martini and maybe an appetizer. But will go somewhere else for the main course.

Really delicious food! Seafood to die for. Pricey, but you get what you pay for! I’d go here all the time if it I could afford it. They add the tip to the check though, so watch for that. I guess my server got tipped double because I wasn’t paying attention. Still, one of my favorites! If you are trying to impress a date, this is the place to go!

Aqua Terra. we decided to come visit for lunch. Husband and I ordered same sandwiches — Grilled Steak Tips requested medium well, We bit into our sandwiches and both of us received hard over cooked tips well done(reheated?) steak. I had gristle in my half and spit those out. I did however, enjoyed the tomato salsa with bread(mostly oil and few tiny pieces of chopped tomatoes) and loved the fried portabella mushroom slices. So why were these sandwiches not to par like the appetizers? This is not the same caliber of sandwiches we remembered eating in the past. I mentioned the sandwich issue to the server and she explained how they slice and cut meat but the damage was already done but to give her credit she did say I could get another sandwich remade. I declined politely when normally I would accept the remake because husband accepted his and had already finished his meal. He told me later he didn’t want to make a fuss but knew I would. The chef should have known better sending out this steak overdone to his customers. We will visit again later to give another chance but please don’t let this happen again.

Every single item in the menu sounded delicious. It was hard to choose. The dipping sauce with the bread was so good I put it on my salad and also asked for some to go. They also sell it in jars to take home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic date.

A great locally owned restaurant with some amazing appetizers and entrees. They also have a great wine selection at very reasonable prices. You can get cheaper meals elsewhere but none will be as nice as this.

Great apps! Specials were a 5… some entrees needs some more flavor! And they out of the desert wine the birthday girl wanted. So, good food and great servers! Little tweaking and this would be 5 stars

Very nice place worth the drive. Pleasant interior, nice staff, clean and we had nice jazz with our dinner. The menu is quite limited but looks like they change main dishes frequently. I had sirloin steak and it was better than many fillet minion at another restaurants! Excellent cook!

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Aqua Terra! For seafood lovers, make sure to try the crab cakes and salmon filet– deliciously prepared and flavorful. Make sure to taste the secret recipe dipping sauce served with bread… do beware though; you wont want to stop once you start!

Aqua Terra is an easy review for me. It is one of my favorite places located in old downtown Buford along the railroad tracks. They make a dipping relish for the bread that not only have I not had anywhere else but is worth the visit by itself. If you are ever in North Atlanta put this place on your Bucket List

The atmoshere was nice, but the food was a little overpriced and after reading a lot of Unilocal reviews, i and my friend did expect more. I would still recomend it, i did like the vibe of the place.

Me and a friend had dinner here last night and it was amazing, We started off with sweet tea that had a little kick to it if u know what I mean, then came the starter which was absolutely amazing, seared tuna lettuce wraps. Before our main entrée came the waiter brought us some bread with this roasted tomato sauce that was to die for. So for the main dish, my friend had the ribeye steak with sea scallops which was surprisingly good and as for me I had the herb crusted lamb chops, hands down best chops I’ve ever had, and of course a glass of red wine to wash it down. I would definitely come here to dine again, it was a nice pleasant atmosphere, good vibes, and a great staff, THUMBSUP…

The BBQ Shrimp is a MUST! The Crabcake sandwich was good but not great. Special soup was Cream of Potato & Zucchini and was yummy!

Aqua Terra is our very favorite place to go for date night. Each time we decide to go into Atlanta we are reminded why we love Aqua Terra. First off, the service is always amazing. Robin usually takes care of us and treats us like family. We love the French Country Salad. The bacon and dressing are perfect. My favorite entrée right now is the grilled shrimp with the lobster Mac and cheese and grilled asparagus. It is beyond delicious. My husband normally gets the special, which often is a steak with some type of seafood. If the have the Kahlua cheesecake, make sure you order some. It is definitely our family favorite. So much so that we normally take a piece home for our kids. Try Aqua Terra. You won’t be disappointed.

I enjoyed my meal here. I’m preaching to the choir on what to get, but here goes — Bread: Free with meal, it’s great. The dipping for the bread was fantastic — The scallop pasta: I could’ve eaten two helping of this. Scallops were perfectly cooked, lots of flavor in the dish — My date had the steak special with shrimp. I was really unimpressed with this dish. Steak was bland, plating was horrible and looked gross. The lobster mac and cheese was nice(he changed from the mashed potatoes to mac and cheese) Overall, great atmosphere, good food and good service. I would definitely go back.

What an awesome find. Been there a few times and I always look forward to the next time. Crab cakes are outstanding, the French country salad is over the top good, and did I mention the tomato and oil dip for the bread… Some places just have it all and this is one of those. Great relaxed environment, nice bar and very good staff… A favorite.

There are very few restaurants I’ve ever walked out of before trying the food. First, we noticed after being seated the health score was only an 86. With such a short dinner menu, you’d think they’d have plenty of time to keep a cleaner kitchen. Secondly, this was my first visit. Granted it was 8:30pm but we were the only guests in the our entire dining section. Should have been a sign. Speaking of signs, the restaurant’s logo is a rooster. You’d think there’s be at least one poultry dish, but no such luck. Steak, seafood, or one pork option. There are 6 dinner entrees to choose from. Sides are addons starting at $ 5 on top of the $ 20-$ 30 entrees. For the first class price, we didn’t feel the service was first class — albeit not unpleasant — and I just can’t be excited about a restaurant with a less than excellent health score — especially when dealing with sensitive food types like seafood. When we told the waitress, she did tell us we didn’t need to pay for our drinks although we did offer. Maybe we’ll try again if the health score improves to at least a 90 and we’re in the mood for steak and seafood. Tonight wasn’t a great first impression.
