Stopped in on the way home for a quick sub. They make a decent turkey club sub. I’ve had better ones at other places in the area but this was ok. Didn’t get to try there tacos yet, wasn’t feeling that adventitious but I’ll give them a shot next time.

I love the burritos from here. Tonight they did great as always. The meat is tasty, the cheese is shredded and melts great. Oh the hot sauce is good too. 5 stars for the burritos.

Set expectations. It’s near a college. Had a stinger burrito which was ok and a steak with meat that was too tough for my liking. But, the fried bologna was the special of the day and it was fantastic. Not as good as Roaming Dees but in the top three And, for eating French fries thought out Europe these looked horrible but they were surprisingly addicting.

The seasoning of their ground beef is so good with the thick shredded white cheese. I don’t know why I love these tacos so much but I just do!!! If I lived closer I would eat here more often!

We went to Ziggy because we were in the area, we were hungry, and my husband had heard that the place was good. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake. Ziggy’s menu is a mix of college junk food, with burgers, chicken fingers, and subs placed on the same board as burritos, tacos, and chimichangas. I suppose this should have been our first clue, but we both have been to eateries that cater to college students which still offer really good food. We decided to go ahead and ordered two of the«deluxe» chimichangas. According to the menu, the«deluxe» chimichangas would include lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, and meat of your choice. Ours came out the size of less than two pop tarts stacked together(length, width, and height), resting on a bed of wilted shredded cabbage with a sad thin slice of tomato as garnish. My husband’s chimichanga came with a small container of sour cream and another small container of salsa that tasted like it could have come out of a jar. Ziggy forgot my salsa and sour cream. If this is «deluxe», I pity the hungry customers who order non-deluxe. The taste of the food was as underwhelming as the presentation. The best that I could say about the chimichangas is that they were warm, and they included melted cheese, though my «steak deluxe» looked more like«sparse bits of sliced meat covered in melted cheese, wrapped in thick fried tortilla». Ziggy’s décor looks like a place from the early 90’s designed as a hang-out for teenagers with too much time in their hands. But shortcomings in decors(or in confused menu offering) could have easily been negated by good food. Unfortunately, in this case, both décor and menu are only hints of what their customers should expect out of their kitchen.

This place is just pure crap!!! Havent been here since the 80’s should have known better … Dingy dirty and disgusting ., haven’t even gotten to the food quality yet !! It’s questionable wether or not health dept will stop work them or not I will not however call the health dept in them, but someone defiantly should or maybe i still might … I will however tell you the quality of the food is horrendous, I mean how can u screw up an assorted sub? First off a half an assorted is about the size of a Mighty Taco small beef taco !!! I asked to have the roll toasted and low an behold I get home ready to eat it and guess what? It’s not toasted at all and ti make matters worse the sub roll is stale !!! Avoid this place at all cost … Ps hope i dont get sick oh i forgot to mention bought two cookies for 170+ tax and the are barely larger than a quarter !!! WTF?

Ziggy’s used to be one of my favorite places to go for tacos. We used to have a location in Kenmore. I recently visited the one on Main Street to see if it was as good as I remembered… It unfortunately was not. The food was decent, but you can get way better Mexican fast food at other restaurants. The employees aren’t overly friendly either. I don’t plan on returning.

Ziggy’s offers decent fast food. «Taco Tuesday»(by one beef taco, get one free) is an exceptionally good deal. My sons like their chicken fingers, although I thought that they were just average. Service is always friendly and fast.

Had a beef taco, Not as good as Mighty Taco’s but it’s a big menu. I’d come back and try something else.

Great tacos, chimichangas, and burritos. Never had their subs, though I’ve seen many people order them for take-out. I also appreciate that they give a student discount, but some nicer seating would greatly improve the interior…

So the food here is well, Okay… but nothing and i mean nothing special. Before today would give them a 2 or 3 star… but my family is over the attitude at this place. Today there was a chimichanga with a hair in it. When my husband complained the woman was muttering and complaining under her breath. Sorry not sorry but we’re not eating food that has your hair in it. She’s was very rude in past visits as well. Snotty bc we had concerns about the high chair strap not clicking/working properly. I guess she never had kids but that strap is pretty key especially when they are still small. Clean up your act Ziggys.

I’ve been going to Ziggy’s for 20 years. This place has to this day the BEST tacos I’ve ever had in my life. It’s FREEZING cold inside here in the winter though, absolutely no warmth so get your food to go. But it’s such a Buffalo classic. I’ve had Mexican food everywhere and nothing compares to Ziggy’s. Taco Tuesday is a blessing. Love this place.

CRAP! I could have had a «Five Dollar Foot-long» at «Subway» that would have been fresher, bigger, and half the price! I paid nearly $ 10 for a turkey sub that was barely edible. Sub-par meat, skimpy toppings, a not-too-fesh roll, and so much mayo that it all oozed out on my hands… and to add insult to injury, I was charged an extra 69 cents for about a dozen jarred banana pepper rings to be added(and at least 3 still had the stems attached). Do yourself a favor… go someplace else!

Taco Tuesdays are a big deal in our house. When we don’t make our own, we hit up Ziggy’s. There’s something about their meat that is just oh-so-delicious and I haven’t quite figured out how to replicate at home. With a hint of cinnamon added to it, it’s some of the best taco meat I’ve ever tasted! If you’re in the mood to try it out, hit up Ziggy’s on a Tuesday for two tacos for $ 2. You won’t be disappointed!

They season the meat, it tasted a bit like Rochester style hot sauce, with a cinnamon taste to it. It was unexpected, but good. I liked the place, I am a fan of hole in the wall places that serve cheap delicious meals. I don’t think the Nacho Cheese is worth it though, it’s really commercial melted cheese. But a few tacos or a burrito, or two, it’s a good deal for eating on a budget and getting my fix for«gringo» tacos.

Taco Tuesdays and Chicken Finger Subs at Ziggy’s pretty much fueled my adolescence. I mean, this isn’t fine dining, but its still pretty tasty. Love the fajita fries too.

Ziggy’s is what it is, and in my book, that’s a refreshing alternative to Jim’s or LaNova or Just Pizza… its a frequent former haunt for a quick bite in between classes when i was in med school, and they have one of the best chicken finger subs in town when its eaten on site just after being freshly made. the fingers are never overly greasy, the wing sauce is a good recipe, and the fixings(including that yummy Costanzo’s sub roll!) are always fresh. the tacos are also a preferred menu choice of mine, keeping in mind that Ziggy’s pumps out above average pizza/sub joint tacos. i particularly like their ground beef mix, primarily because the seasonings are evident in the recipe — its a savory blend that even includes cinnamon(i think… at least it tastes that way, and i am not complaining). i also really love the creaminess of the shredded cheese that they use for their tacos. don’t expect the polished atmosphere of a ETS or(some) Jim’s Steak Outs here. its clean, there are places to eat, and the service is as prompt and friendly as it could be for a place run by Amherst High students and UB freshmen…

I don’t know what everyone is smoking but if Ziggy’s counts as good tacos, then I guess a 16-year-old version of myself could be the executive chef here. Not a good sign when I think Taco Bell has better food and sanitation standards. On the plus side, you can two(crappy) tacos for $ 2 on Tuesdays excluding chicken or steak leaving you with ground beef or bean as your choices lol.

The atmosphere is a little drab, but the staff are really friendly. I had the classic BBQ chicken finger sub. Every local business would do well to take advantage of the incredible Costanzo’s rolls, and Ziggy’s correctly toasted theirs. The overall sub was decent, but not any better than other local shops. The place was deserted and the prices weren’t bad. Overall, not a bad eatery, but not exactly a destination.
