Great laundromat! Its close to where i live, cheap, and clean. The people there were all very nice. I’d recommend going here for a laundromat. Its nice to see a good old school laundromat thats clean and has working machines.

Friendly, convenient hours, good prices. I’m pretty sure that’s all you need to know, but Unilocal is telling me my review is too short so I’m just gonna keep typing until it’s long enough… It’s pretty nice out today. Sun’s out for the first time in a while. Okay it’s long enough.

A decent laundromat with good and bad experiences… After reading the good reviews, I was excited to try this place. These are my impressions after doing laundry here a few times. Pros: — clean — most of the machines are in working condition — most of the machines(and all dryers) look relatively new — lots of front load washers(it might just be me, but my bras seem less likely to get super twisted up when washed in a front loading machine) — there are snack machines, some old arcade games, and a small bar pool table — there is a good amount of reasonably comfortable seating, though it’s falling apart — there is always an attendant Cons: — the dryers don’t get very hot at all; normally I tumble dry low on everything except sheets and towels, but 30 minutes of tumble drying low(on multiple machines) left me with wet/cold clothes(pretty much just socks, underwear, and some tank tops – not hard to dry). So basically low is useless, medium is low, and high is medium heat — my experience today Regular loads are $ 3($ 3.25 for super load), there are a few giant commercial washers for blankets(forget the pricing on that), and the dryers are the standard quarter for six minutes. I switched to here from the 24hr laundromat by my apartment because I enjoy the lack of murdery atmosphere this one provides. Based on my first few times there, I judged it as 3 stars. The attendant when I was there the other week was so nice that I was going to raise my review to 4 stars(for good customer service), but after tonight I decided I was correct in my original assessment of 3 stars. I got there tonight at probably 8:15, but realized I had forgotten to go to the ATM so I went to an ATM up the street and came back at 8:30. A different attendant than I had seen previously stared at me from the door while I was in my car taking care of some stuff for about 10 minutes. I got out of my car and she scurried away from the door. I walked up to the door with my single bag of laundry and found that it was locked. The woman glared at me. I tried the other door. It was locked. All the stools were on the counters and there were no visible customers but, being sure they were supposed to be open for another hour and a half and having a need to do my laundry, I check the sign to see if they had some sort of weird holiday hours going on. The sign confirmed they should be open until 10. Feeling like I must be going crazy because the lady was still grilling me and they were supposed to be open, I tried the door again(I thought it was pull but maybe it’s a push?). It’s also 19 degrees out, so I am cold!!! Finally she comes to the door, unlocks it, and says that I can’t come in because the last wash is at 8:30, and then she locks the door again. I walk back to my car. I turn it on. I look at the clock. It’s 8:42. They are open until 10. The last time I was here(with the nice attendant), I’m pretty sure I showed up about this time and was definitely done with my laundry by 9:50, and it only took me that long because I had to dry sheets(I air dry about half of my clothes, so the things I do dry only take 10 – 20 minutes). I’m so irritated by my experience today, if it hadn’t been for the really nice attendant the other week I would have dropped my review to a 2. I understand if they don’t want people showing up 20 minutes before they close with six loads of laundry, but I had a single bag of laundry and was 12 minutes past their supposed hour-and-a-half-before-closing cutoff(which I’ve never seen mentioned anywhere). There was plenty of time. There were no other customers. The woman’s behavior was incredibly rude and she was obviously just looking to leave early. I just find it really unacceptable and am debating looking for a different laundromat, because apparently the Laundry Basket Too doesn’t want my money.

I took my coat to another dry cleaning service(not knowing about«The Laundry Basket Too» after I had spilled coffee on it last winter. They charged me an arm and a leg and returned it looking almost exactly the same as it had looked when I brought it to them, telling me they had«done all they could.» Fast forward an entire year. I recently brought my coat to Rosemary at «The Laundry Basket Too.» She cleaned it and returned it to me in PERFECT condition, and charged less than the competitor. Best dry-cleaning experience I’ve had. Ever.

Never has whiling away 90 minutes while awaiting laundry been so pleasant, so easy, so simple. Let’s start with the fact that the place is incredibly clean. The staff do an excellent job of maintaining the premises, from the floors to the furniture, the machines, and the loo.(What a spotless bathroom, by the way. Most restaurants in our area could learn a thing or two!). Then let’s move onto the fact that they have a wide array of different-sized and different-purposed machines(unfortunately all at exorbitant market rates). But what really makes this place special is that they understand that coin op laundries are for most people an obligatory level of hell from which there is no escape, that it ranks somewhere between the DMV and the waiting area at an airport. They understand this and so they have inundated patrons with optional extras. Sure, they have vending machines and arcade games. But there’s also a pool table, a pair of leather recliners, a kiddy area(with books!), and a very loud TV set. Additionally, they have a snack station and free wifi. Good grief! Which brings me to the reason this place doesn’t get five stars. The TV set is incredibly loud, loud enough that you will hear exactly what is playing regardless of where you are positioned. All too often, the programming isn’t incredibly genteel either. In general, it seems to oscillate from network program to network program, and the attendants and clientele both seem to take ample pleasure from gleefully cackling and hollering as Maury reveals, «You are not the father!» In fact, I enjoyed this part of my experience immensely, but it detracted significantly from my ability to continue reading my 18th Terry Pratchett book. Alas. Clean, comfortable, reliable. Words to describe a hotel chain or an airline. Never words I would have expected to type about a coin op laundromat.
