My parents bough a washer from Sears, I used it for 3 months, then it broke, my parents called Sears, it took Sears 3 months to replace the broken washer and then the new washer broke after 3 months.

Sadly I cannot give this store a zero. I got a little lost in the store and when I eventually found the stand I wanted(Mens hats) and picked up a hat, the ‘lady’ at the registrar screamed over — «Excuse me sir, but we are closed». I glance at my watch — 9:01pm. I don’t know that it is really possible to have a customer service experience that is less positive.

This is odd. I am old and have never been to a Sears. For real. In my early years of shopping I gravitated to stores that offered up what I needed. Clothing was easy, Filene’s, Syms, Loehman’s and T. J’s. If I needed hardware or anything to do with any other aspect of my home, I went to Valu. Then Home Depot came along WHICH, I am not a fan of. I detest malls. The last time I was in this behemoth was when my daughter, who is a parent to two, was in a stroller. Back to Sears. I was looking for something specific online. Prefer to purchase online. The item I longed for was only available for purchase at Sears. McKinley Mall. Off to the heinous circus I went. Initially I could not find what I needed. I don’t know the layout of the store nor did I know how many freaking departments one can peruse. Found myself at the«Info» kiosk/computer desk and heard one of the seven trumpets from above that simply said — «Can I help you find something??» YES!!! A lovely young lady walked me away from the computer and into the territory I needed to be. She then secured an older, I’m guessing, more knowledgeable customer service rep to point me to what I wanted to purchase. YES!!! PURCHASEMADE! Nice place.

This turned out to be the best store we went to on this shopping trip! The deals here were incredible, but don’t hurry to go — we bought them all. In search for a King Size Quilt set — we found exactly what we wanted at the fraction of the cost of any place else we looked — including on line! After the 15% discount for using our Sears Credit Card and the sharp discount the item was marked down to — the 10 piece outfit was really GREAT. Then — the rest of the clearance items we purchased for a buck a piece made the trip to Sears worth writing home about. The real killer was the store clerk who rang us out — both times. She was one of the nicest Sears staff we’ve ever run into! She was quick to tell us how to get the best deal and even told us about how many points we had and what that would mean in dollars! We also found our next riding lawn mower too! Not bad for just checking out bedding! I’m beginning to be a real Sears fan! Update — we purchased the lawnmower, but at our hometown store. Though I’ve given both stores a 5 star rating — our hometown store is where we spend the big bucks!
