Went here for my birthday, dying for the crab legs. Party of 3 adults and a 12 year old. First off, this being a chain, I was shocked that there was no happy hour! Insane. Especially since within a two mile radius there are 4 chains that do offer happy hour! We ordered lobster pizza(decent) then our entrees which all came with a house salad. This is where it gets disturbing. We waited 40 minutes for our salads!!! My hubby thought our waitress was injured or left or on break. We literally did not see her for 40 minutes! She was clearly flustered, I think her manager should have intervened to help and minimally from now on, give her half the tables! Entrée was fresh rainbow trout(yummy!) but husband and daughters chicken Alfredo was a giant bowl of overcooked pasta with dry chicken. Crab legs. Good as crab legs could be. All in all overpriced, small portions of the good stuff(rainbow trout) giant portions of the cheap stuff(chix Alfredo) it will be a decade before we will be back

It’s not a five star restaurant but honestly it will do. I always get the Atlantic salmon half Portion. Let’s face it though people Come for the biscuits. They are amazing! Take a few home and have them for breakfast. They also have some of the best baked potatoes that I’ve had… Something about the way they get the skin crispy and lightly salt it. Would recommend when you are looking for something routine.

It’s not bad for a chain sea food restaurant, waitress was good, pleasant, checked in on us, smiled too. For an appetizer I ordered the lobster bisque, it was good, dipped their awesome biscuits(my favorite free bread). Then lunch I ordered the jumbo coconut shrimp w mashed potatoes. The could care less for the potatoes, but the shrimp dripped the piña colada sauce was better, I’ve had better, fresher food. But like I said for a chain is was good.

A Red Lobster is a chain — duh! With my reviews I’m often tougher on a chain then a mom and pop place and some say that isn’t fair and others say why bother reviewing a chain to begin with — they are all the same. Well — chains are not all the same and the reason I’m tougher on them is that they have a corporation behind them while the mom and pop place are basically on their own! Having said that — this chain of the Red Lobster is better then the other Red Lobsters I’ve been to! With no reservation we opted to sit and eat at the bar. One of the best choices a hungry person could make when there would be about a 20 minute wait! The bartender or the guy behind the bar — whatever you want to call him, was wonderful and took care of my wife and I like a pro. He took our order — made sure we had everything — brought us our food — checked to ensure we liked everything and was kind and courteous even though his main job probably isn’t serving people food! The place was clean, organized and the food we had was great. The lobster pizza was so much better then any lobster pizza I have had before and the stuffed mushrooms were really good too! The price was slightly high, but it’s the same price here as most RL’s I’ve been at. Selection is good and every staff member we encountered was friendly and really seemed to want to help you! I suppose if someone reads the reviews for this place — they might be turned off and go elsewhere — and I would agree to go to a mom and pop place if you can, but every place has good and bad days — so this isn’t one of those places I’d stay away from. Hopefully I won’t run into those bad servers others have, but if I do — I’d bring it to management’s attention and ask for a different server!

Whoever does this place’s ads should get paid triple! The ads are so much better than the place itself. The photos are mouth watering. What is served is mouth puckering. Supremely average… meh food, snotty teenaged waitresses, a twenty year old hostess who should be asking if I want fries with that. My advice? GOTOHOAKSITSONTHELAKEANDITISTHEBEST!

Once again we got the waitress from hell. She kept disappearing seeming to forget we were there. Forgot stuff. Messed up our dinner order even though my husband pointed right at the pictures. We were there twice as long as we should have been. Never brought more rolls like we asked. It was very hard to leave a tip(but we did). We had this waitress about 4 years ago when we sat there for over 3 hours because of her incompetence. The manager finally came over and apologized for the huge delay. We got free dessert :/we can’t believe she is still there. But the food was great. We have had nice dinners there with other waitresses. Next time I will ask to be moved if we get her again

So like, are there other coloured lobsters too, or what? I know friends who swear by Red Lobster, but every time I get roped into coming to one, I literally will just order tap water and avoid the food because I’ve had some really bad experiences there and don’t even consider it seafood. So a few weeks ago I got dragged here and again I just didn’t order, but there were masses of leftovers and my wasteful tablemates were going to just consign the remains to the trash. So I agreed to «finish off» some of their food. Big mistake. A couple of bites later and I started feeling sick. Maybe it’s just me that doesn’t react well to RL food in general but I think there’s just something about this seafood that is not good.

Service was terrible, even though they were not busy, they were«out of biscuits«so they gave only one per person for my table if two and were squeamish in regards to getting anymore.

Red Lobster is Red Lobster– prices too high, too much fried food, yet the seniors love it so I bring mom and dad. What does impress me is that the manager comes over to the table– that should be a restaurant requirement!!!

Look it’s Red Lobster. Butt of many jokes, the pinnacle of fine dining(along side that fancy *I* talian place the Olive Garden) in many… southern regions. But you have to be fair. When it comes to their annual shrimp or crab ‘fests’ there’s not many places that can measure up to the generous portions and reasonable prices. And we should all be honest, the Chesapeake Cheesy rolls could be a business unto themselves they’re so good. You like them, don’t argue, just nod and read on… Visiting family in the area for the holidays and wanting seafood, this was the top choice(we live in New England, where you can’t find a Red Lobster, but you don’t need them as you can find a seafood joint, clam shack, or raw bar on every block). Timing was on our side as it was the final day of crabfest. ALLCRABMUSTGO! Being a crab guy this was it’s own Christmas present. Low prices, extra helpings and the ability to add even more crab for just a couple of bucks? Thank you may I have another? For about $ 20 I resolved a major crab hankering in a very definitive manner and it was good. You’d expect an ‘all crab must go’ type of message to imply. «this stuff is on the edge of going bad!», but nothing could be farther from the truth. Just clearing out stock on the final night of a special. Service was good and the atmosphere is what you’d expect from a national chain run by Darden foods. Clean, maybe a bit on the cliché side, but certainly more than acceptable for a reasonably priced night out with the family.

I hardly ever go to chain restaurants but a friend invited me to go for the«endless shrimp» and I’m glad I did. Were seated right away and greeted by Kristen, an attentive, very pleasant and friendly server. For 14.99 I thought all we were going to get was shrimp, but was I wrong. All the dinners were served like a regular dinner item with choice of salad and potato along with the cheddar biscuits. Started with drinks, nothing fancy there and then salads, one Caesar and one house. The house had a nice berry vinaigrette and the Caesar was done just right with crisp, cold romaine and crunchy croutons. Cheddar biscuits were served nice and warm and tasted like I remember them. ohhh sooooo good! Then the shrimp, available 5 or 6 different ways. When Kristen took our order(2 types of shrimp) she also took a backup order right away so we wouldn’t have to wait in case we wanted more. The scampi were served hot and seasoned just right, breaded were good, not a lot of breading but a good balance, the teriyaki were also great. There was also alfredo and parmesan all of which eventually hit the table, some without even asking. Here’s something you don’t see very often at an «all you can eat»… a take home container. Yes, I have enough leftover for lunch AND dinner tomorrow. It was like the food just kept coming! Kristen(our server) made an uncommon visit to a «chain» restaurant a meal to remember.
