Dr. Pivarunas is at the Piver Center for Women’s Health next to Sisters Hospital. He provided me with prenatal care and delivered my first baby last week… I can’t say enough about Dr. Pivarunas and the staff at the center. Everyone was wonderful, from the receptionist to the scheduler to the nurses. Dr. Pivarunas offered solid medical advice without being pushy. He and his colleagues, including Dr. Jaime Obst and Patty(one of the nurses), always took the time to listen carefully and respond to any questions we had. I never once felt hurried — it’s not a place where you feel like the doctors are just trying to rush through appointments to get from one patient to the next. The wait times were typically about 10 – 15 minutes, but on the few occasions when they ran longer, I didn’t mind because I assumed they were taking time to speak with other patients who had concerns(or delivering babies!). I know the word«nice» is overused, but both Dr. Pivarunas and Dr. Obst were genuinely nice people. Both seemed to really take joy in their jobs. They made the delivery of our son a low-stress experience, and I’ll always think fondly of them and all the other wonderful people we met at the Piver Center. This is where we’ll go again if we decide to have another kid!

I went to Dr. Pivarunas based on a friend’s recommendation and I have been very happy with him and his staff. He is located at the Piver Center for Woman’s Health, which is attached to Sisters’ Hospital on Main Street. Dr. P also delivered my baby and had a calm and encouraging presence in the delivery room. To the extent he could, he helped us follow our birth plan. As a catholic working for the Catholic Health System though, he will not prescribe or provide counseling on any type of birth control, so he may not be the right doctor for you…
