Absolute worse pizza I ever ate. Seriously horrible. And i never complain about anything. Get it together.

We ordered a small cheese and pepperoni pizza. Larger than your average size small and super delicious! Their sauce tastes amazing very flavorful and the dough is cooked to perfection. We came in at 9:30, they were closing at 10 and they were happy to make us anything we wanted which was nice. Will definetely be back!

Pretty consistently good food — especially if the owner is working, Very good pizza, wings and fingers. Subs are hit and miss sometimes. The place has been in business ~30 years and I’ve been going there since day 1.

If you want good food, ALOTOFIT, and for a good, fair price, then La Porta’s is your place! Every time I call the staff is very friendly and patient and gives me a reasonable time for pick up. The Owner seems to always be there and is really cool and their calzones are great! Highly recommend!

I go here at lunchtime for slices regularly. I’ve been developing more of a preference for thin crust pizzas in the last couple of years, and while this isn’t really a New York City style thin crust, it is thinner than a typical Buffalo pizza. They reheat the slices in the pizza oven which give the crust that slight crispyness. The flavors of the sauce and cheese blend perfectly. I’m a fan. There is a small but comfortable sit-down area and you can even order bottled beer here. And as another reviewer stated, the owners always seem to be on premises which is great. To me, this is how it should be done. The presence of the owner will usually ensure a good experience. Leaving the business to be run by a bunch of 17 year old kids with no supervision(Ahem … LT’s) will almost always result in a chaotic headache of an experience. So kudos to the owners of La Portas for being hands-on. Also, the subs at La Portas are very good.

Worst service ever !!! I’ve used them and had food delivered 3 times now the first time the food came 3 hours after I ordered and it was freezing cold. The second time I ordered it took 2 hours and the forgot the wings so when I did get them they were freezing and nasty. And now tonight I ordered again … Stupid me !!! I ordered a large pizza with double cheese and pepperoni that ended up coming with the crust full of air bubbles and hardly any cheese, a buffalo chicken Stromboli which wasn’t too bad but I’ve had better and a salad that was forgotten … The delivery guy went back to get it and came back 45 minutes later with a salad that looked like it was picked out off the trash !!! It was lettuce and croutons !! I then called up and asked for my card to be credited since it wasn’t what I ordered and the manager said that the only way I would get a credit is if he sent someone back to retrieve his crap salad … I said are you kidding me … And he said why would I give you a free salad … I have never complained about a business before and I am a chef myself … But I will never ever buy food from this poorly run establishment with below average food again !! I hope this helps people and you call a business that the food isn’t overpriced wanna be Italian !! I’m adding a pic of my lousy 6 dollar lettuce to anyone who wants to see the quality. I only wish that I was able to give a half star

Ive ordered from this place before and enjoyed the food. But the customer service sucked and now since im so disappointed i have to update my review. Im so mad every time call after 11pm they say they«sent the delivery guy home sick» this is the 3rd time! The one time they did deliver i gave the guy a very generous tip being it was so late. I work over nights and order as soon as i get here, the house is literally right across the street but i cant leave my client so i guess ill starve and never count on ordering from them ever again. It says right on the front of the menu«We Deliver All Day!» Liars!!!

When this place first opened, there was no bathroom. So everyone used the Mexican Porta Potty that was outside, known colloquially as «La Porta Potty». The name stuck, and even though the porta potty is long since gone, and they actually have a real bathroom now, it will forever be named after that cute little outhouse that helped this place make its name. What to get: Specialty Slices — veggie or Buffalo Chicken. So I tried La Porta’s. I ate the food. I nommed the cheese and pep slice. It was good. It was CHEESYASHELL, it was actually a bit reminiscent of Bozanna’s which broke my heart recently when it closed down, on Main St between Clarence and W-ville. But it’s not really as good as that and so I will probably going to give it a 4⁄5 based on that. They I tried their veggie slice and my word, it was totally different. Not too cheesy, fresh and delicious… totally different from their saturated, over the top cheese and pep slice. It was still fairly cheesy though. So between the two I would definitely get the veggie again although I am sure I will try others. I would give this place a 5 for the veggie slice, but with reservations, because I will have to try it a couple more times to see exactly how much I like it, and maybe give a couple of the other slices a go. But there’s a real absence of great pizza in this part of town, so this one stands out like a beacon in the night. I’ll give it a 4 for now and then try it again and see where it stands. The first time I went there, the whole plaza had a gas leak, so I didn’t get to try anything. But it was totally worth going back the second time.

They delivered to us at the Wyndham. It came in less than an hour and all of it was great. We got a Greek salad, calzone, and steak sandwich. I would order from this place all the time if I lived in Buff!

BECAREFUL!!! If you ever order from a Buffalo Perks promotion… This is the only restaurant that has a fine print«Dine-in-only» to redeem. Why would the owner care??? Other pizzerias I redeem from don’t require dine-in-only.

I was really looking forward to a new pizza place with great sauce and dough… What a dissapointment. Aside from the pizza being delivered 1hr+ late the crust was like cardboard and the sauce was all but missing… not a typical new york pie… I would not recommend this pizza with all the great choices in the vicinity…

LaPorta’s deserves five stars on all counts –quality of pizza and other menu items, service, prices, location, etc. I used to live around the corner so I grew up coming here and once I went to college and joined clubs, I convinced my clubs to use LaPorta’s for club events on campus. They were reliable and we always were told by club members how great the pizza and wings were. Now that I’m a working gal, I come here pretty often to grab a slice of pizza or a salad on my way home from work. Personal favorites: any of the veggie slices that they have on display –they are always fresh and when heated up, they don’t stand a chance against other fast food places. Just delicious. Also personal pan pizzas are so great –you can get any topping you want! Their chef salads are also a good menu choice –very big and full of the freshest lettuce and topped off with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and cheese. The wait time is always reasonable at LaPorta’s, too. For a personal pan pizza, your average wait time is ~25 minutes. To get a slice heated up to go is ~5 minutes. Pat, the owner, is friendly, accommodating and quick to strike a deal with you if you become a regular for catering to a club or event(i.e. tax break). Scott is always great, too. Quick to know your name and greet you when you walk in. If you come here to sit down and eat, service is again exceptional. I don’t expect there to be waiter service at neighborhood pizza joint, but they insist on coming over with your food and bussing the table afterwards. They do a great job keeping an eye on your table, too, in case you’re looking for a fork or napkins.

Pizza is extremely mediocre and their delivery service is terrible. The communication between their workers is somewhat lost. We waited 2 hours on a Friday evening for a cold and partially frozen fish fry when we were told 45 minutes. I can’t even give them a rating because they are so bad. The la porta family needs to seriously consider selling to someone who puts fourth some effort into their livelihood.

Great pizza, subs(wish they’d used a chopped ribeye for steak and cheese) and staff. Awesome place for lunch or for takeout dinner.

La Porta’s pizza, service, owner and employees are the best! Nope. I’m not related. Just a regular. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, but be assured, your meal is fresh and made-to-order. Food preparation is visible, you can watch pizza being created. It’s a testament to goodness and confidence in their food when a restaurant owner has no concerns about customers being able to see where their food is made. After ten years of pizza and salad, I can honestly say the quality of both food and service is consistently high. And it’s just so «Buffalo» to have a friendly greeting upon entering and ordering, regardless of the fast pace, and to have a local, hand made pizza. If you prefer a thicker crust, go for the personal pan pizza, which really is sufficient for two, especially if you order one of their excellent salads, filled with veggie delights, always fresh and never wilty or off-tasting. I’m sure the other menu items are just as peachy, these are the only the ones I consistently order, creature of habit that I am. You will get excellent table service if you prefer to stick around to eat, in this come-as-you-are atmosphere, nothing pretentious going on at La Porta’s. There is a big screen TV above, but not blaring, and the place bustles with the activity of folks coming and going with their take-out orders. The dining area is away from the door, so not drafty. In the summer, you can sit outside, although it’s smack-dab on the sidewalk which can get scattered with the little ballerinas from the dance studio next door; and the parking lot is pretty busy. And those(understandably) vinyl tables and chairs are not too comfortable. Personally, I’d rather be in my own back yard; at least I can tell my dogs to shoo! If you’re having a party, you can call ahead and place your order, even a day or so ahead, they’re very accommodating! We’ve done that for pizza and wings. The wings are quite good, and come with a generous serving of real celery and nicely cut up carrots with bleu cheese. The owner is exceptionally community minded, too, it’s always a good feeling to patronize a business that cares about the area it serves. Have friends/relatives visiting Western New York? Never go to a chain, try La Porta’s, you won’t be disappointed.

I can never figure out why some people are absolutely in love with Buffalo’s pizza, myself growing up with New York THIN crust. La Portas I think combines what most people consider to be good pie in this town with a touch of NYC. All their pizzas are good and I also think their chicken wings are some of the best in town! Definitely a go to at least once a month for pizza night. Two thumbs way up!!! Happy Customer for 13 years!

Favorite pizza in Williamsville. Their white pizza is my absolute fave. Fresh Tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions on perfectly chewy dough. Delicious! Awesome, meaty wings. Can’t go wrong if you live near La Porta’s!
