I have to give the owner Amr credit, I’ve been holding off on going here for months but when I finally went in and smoked the hookah here, you can already tell its better than another certain lounge on Millersport. Ever since Ramsey’s re-opened next to its old location on Millersport 2 weeks ago, Habibi Sheesha Lounge’s hookah has been 20 times better, and that’s probably because Ramsey tries to pass off his terrible excuse of hookah by throwing a pinch of flavor in the hookah head. The price here at Habibi has gone down on some nights too to as low as $ 10 which is amazing compared to Ramsey’s $ 20 disaster.

Where do I begin… Don’t go! This place is horrible, it’s ghetto, it’s dirty. It’s not what it used to be. Even then it wasn’t that good. They like to pretend it’s multicultural but it’s just Arabs and blacks now… Before it wasn’t! No wonder why the Elmwood location got shut down! If you go early and make it to see the belly dancer it’s good but after that it’s ghetto! It’s not relaxing. The guy is trying to make it into a nightclub but must babe never have been to one before. It’s no better than a basement party. The Sheesha isn’t anything to brag about and the place is very unorganized. Just a bunch of kids work there. They don’t wear uniforms so you can never tell who’s a patron or an employee. Not trying to be racist but if you’re white and like a relaxing environment or even a dancing place… They pretty much only play rap and hiphop. Sometimes they play EDM… If you’re lucky. Oh the perfect photographer guy. You’re far from perfect! Your pictures legit suck! My cellphone can do better than you! Learn to take real pictures man. This place used to be good

I often come to this place for it’s atmosphere. If the right manager is there it is very entertaining and lively. With that said, the seating is horrendous and is almost as bad as their hookahs. You will be sitting on packed but broken in couches if you’re lucky, otherwise you’ll be sitting on little cushion squares. If you sit on the right side of the room, you should make an appointment for a hearing specialist for the next say. They placed the speaker on the floor near the couches and you usually walk out with your ears ringing. The bass is so strong on that side that you feel like you will go into cardiac arrest at any moment. The music is very good but the djs tend to play whatever they want not what everyone wants. When he played on house song the room woke up and then he went back to ghetto rap and everyone calmed down. The hookahs are horrible. They taste horrible and don’t last too long. They are also overpriced. You have to pay $ 20 for a clay hookah that just tastes like charcoal. Back home I paid $ 20 for a special blend mix from a pineapple head and milk inside. Back home being NYC. The only thing this place has going is the good atmosphere and nice vibe. I will sadly be going back there to throw my money away, again.

I was introduced to the place by some Middle Eastern friends… being a Middle Eastern myself and occasional sheesha smoker back home, I have grown to be very critical of all the places that claim to be one. I was in for a surprise. The place has the best sheesha I have had in the US and would be considered very good quality by Middle Eastern standards. I was also worried about the ventilation, because I hate the smell of smoke on my clothes and hair, but like the other reviews mentioned, the ventilation is very good. My experience in other sheesha lounges in Buffalo and US has typically been a bit of a long wait. Not in this one. The staff is super friendly and although you would typically need reservations for Saturdays when there is a belly dancer, on a couple of occasions I called half an hour prior and they managed to find place for me and my friends. I never tried to just show up on a Saturday night though. Tuesday nights are ladies night so it’s half off. Not serving food might be the one thing they need to think about in the future, but for now, they give you fast food menus and they can place a food order for you. It takes a bit of time though. Over all I love the place.

I’m not much of a sheesha smoker, and had accompanied my middle-eastern friend on a Friday night. It’s got a young vibe, and is frequented by the UB college crowd, with music which was a good mix of middle-eastern and techno. The great part about the place is that besides having really good sheesha, they let you bring in food from outside. So it’s a good place to hang out while still keeping the cost down. The staff is very friendly, and offers prompt service. Seating is REALLY comfortable– they have huge couches that you sink into. The ventilation is a major plus, I could barely smell any smoke on myself on leaving. I’m surely going back. I’ve also heard that the belly dance performances they have on Saturday nights are fun. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice place. Belly dancing on Saturday Nights. Good location. I have heard both Middle-Eastern and current Billboard toppers at the place. The sheesha they have are pretty good too. Quite popular with the college crowd as it is on the edge of UB South Campus. You might want to call for reservations.

Stopped in an a whim to give sheesha a try. The hostess sat us on some comfy couches and gave us the rundown of the menu. Since we were newbies, we tried the citrus mix since it was supposed to be a bit less harsh than some of the others. We got served complimentary bottles of water(great touch) and waited only a few minutes for them to bring over the tall pipe. I was surprised at how mellow the smoke was, especially because I am not a smoker at all. Also, the place is well ventilated so if smoke bothers you, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The music was a bit loud and there’s a definite techno vibe to the place, but it was a Saturday night so really what was I to expect being that it’s a college-type crowd. The place filled up pretty quickly after about 9:00 which was cool to see. Extra plus: you can bring in your own food so it would definitely be super fun to bring a group and hang out. Cost is very reasonable: $ 15 per pipe and they allow 2 people to a pipe. The tobacco lasts a very long time so it’s very easy to make that $ 15 go pretty far. It was plenty for the 2 of us for close to 2 hours. Had a great time! Will definitely come back again sometime.
