Quiet little place. Has changed hands according to Facebook, the current group is nice. The food Is what you’d expect, comfort style. Very good, simple dishes. Just the right spot for a slow relaxed morning. Regulars love it.

Nice little greasy spoon diner. We went for Sunday morning breakfast. It was only the second day for our young waiter, but he was putting in great effort learning his new proffession. My husband and I were so engrossed in conversation with each other, we didn’t realize our food took longer than it should have. It came as a suprise when they offered to take one meal off the bill. The food was good. The home fries, ordered extra crispy, we’re incredible. The menu is your typical diner fare — perfect for a lazy Sunday morning.

I am not feeling this place. The service is lacking. Greatly. Slow. Painfully sloooow service! We stopped in on a Tuesday night and the place was near empty(at most three other two tops). However We still waited forever for our food and the server never checked back to see if everything was okay or if we needed drink refills. The menu is a lot different now than what is posted online. It’s very small and limited so there Isn’t much to choose from– I went for the polish offerings and there are none anymore… I ordered breakfast and the«home fries» were giant cubes of potatoes and they had an odd greasy flavor to them. The food also came out at two different times. I hate that. I almost never experience that anywhere, thankfully. It’s awkward when you are sitting there either eating and your fellow diner is watching you, anxiously awaiting their food… or you are sitting there all«hangry» because YOUR food is getting cold while they wait. Zero excuse for this. I The best thing I can say is the restaurant was roomy(also empty) and very clean(possibly because there is no one there to make a mess?) I will not waste another meal here and neither should you.

I have visited 4 times. 1st time food was great. I had potato pancakes. Deep fried and big it was great. Wife had Lasagna in a deep bowl with sauce. Ok but not Italian style. 2nd time I had small thin pork chops. Ok but not Polish style. 3rd time was there for Father’s day but only open till 1pm and only served breakfast. My eggs/sausage/potatoes was great and large portions. Son & wife had chocolate chip pancakes. Huge but hardly any chips. Had to take home. Last visit I went by myself hungry for potato pancakes. Very bad. Not deep fried but hand mixed and pan fried. I do not care for sour cream and did not order but I believe they made from scratch and added sour cream because the flavor was sour. I did send back and they replaces but it was still sour. Consistency of food is very important for repeat business. Can put up with slow service if the food is always great. My rating is for a great breakfast only. If I only had breakfast I would have given 5 stars.

I tried coming here before on Mother’s Day and after waiting ten minutes for a menu I decided to leave with a guest. Granted it was very busy I decided later to come back and try this place out. After the waitress took our order and waiting a half hour for our food she came back and said the order was never put on the spike and we would have to wait even longer now. Needless to say that’s it for giving this place another shot again. GL people.

You owe it to yourself to check this place out. Despite the long-standing myth, this place doesn’t have sourdough bread. Given how tasty the homemade rye is, you won’t miss it. You can’t miss it… because THEYNEVERHADIT. The portions are huge and the prices are great. It’s laid back so take your time and enjoy the slower pace. I highly recommend Skip’s Favorite for breakfast, but it’s a lot of food. You were warned.

We went for breakfast twice now. Looks can be deceiving… they make their own fresh bread and I am very particular about my eggs and they only use fresh eggs. You do really feel like you are in your grandmas house. There is one waitress who remembered us from the first time we went and she is very friendly and nice. The other waitress we had was okay — seemed flustered. They give you A LOT of food and it was really good… the raisin french toast is delish and the pancakes are huge! Definitely would recommend going for breakfast! Everything is made fresh! From what I heard is that they are under new management/ownership so maybe that would explain the difference in my perspective from the rest of the reviews.
