Love the pizza here, haven’t had a bad slice just yet(crosses fingers my next won won’t be bad cuz I said that lol). Nice location for all the downtown workers and walkers. If you need some good pizza downtown this is def the best one!

First, the good: they did a great job with the space. I love the design, the layout, the patio string lights, the bar, the quick takeout counter … all great. The food is solid but not the best in the area. The presentation of my sandwich was dismal, with scraps of french fries sitting next to my sandwich(I did not order french fries) and shriveled dill pickles. The bad: 5 of us had lunch during a workday. We had reservations so obviously they knew we were coming. We arrived to chaos. Staff was running around frantic and the kitchen was incredibly backed up. Our food took almost an hour to arrive. The server kept reminding us that it wasn’t his fault, which I found extremely unprofessional. What WAS his fault was not checking on us in the interim; no drink refills, no status updates on our food, no offer of free bread, nothing. I was shocked that they were so ill-prepared for a Friday lunch hour on a beautiful day. There is simply no excuse and they won’t last long with the lunch crowd if they keep this up. They’ve been open at this location for over a year, why have they not figured it out yet? That said, they must have given us a heavy discount because our checks came out WELL below what we should have paid. But I wouldn’t know because our server didn’t mention anything. It was much appreciated. I *will* return. But perhaps not for lunch.

Cheap and delicious(but very greasy!!) pizza slices. I have had many different types of slices and my favorites were the chicken parmesan and meatball. Sometimes I grab a half sub out of their cooler if I am in a rush and they were not bad either.

To start of the pizzas looked worse than a DIY or take home oven pizza.(greasy, too much cheese, and thick) As we walked into the front entrance door; presented in a glass heater and for the world to see was their corner store/gas station pizza. As if to say this is our pride and joy, it’s «good pizzas». I disregard that and walked into a nice dining room that had a atmosphere of any Americanized Italian restaurant. As our nice server hands us our plates and silverware one of my friends noticed two plate stuck together; finding out there was chewing gum stuck between them. Also my silverware had a piece of something hanging off it. Our group ordered two large pizzas and 60 wings; I was hoping that the pizzas we ordered would look better and less greasy than the corners store pizza… ended up being the same ones. On the other hand their wings look excellent and smelled great. Since I eat Vegetarian and gluten free there was a couple GF pasta options for me. I had the spinach and artichoke pasta which was also greasy, accompanied by a house salad(best thing I had all night …) I would only Come here if I was overly intoxicated/wasted and looking to sober up by eating their greasy pizza, good wings or grab another drink at their full bar in the back of the restaurant.

Casa what happened? The prices have gone through the roof and our cheese and mushroom pizza was overcooked on the bottom and soggy on the top with CANNED mushrooms! When you order a side of blue cheese and charged extra, you expect to get bleu cheese not ranch dressing. Is the 8 page newspaper menu necessary? Creative but way too many pages to sort through. Was a frequent patron of the old location’s bar and it was my number one choice for delivery but now I am not so sure. Please go back to what you were known for on Elmwood — QUALITY and SIMPLICITY

The Casa Di Pisa is a house in a small city in Italy famous for a building that looks like it’s falling over. Whereas the Casa Di Pita is a Greek place. And the Casa Di Pina Colada is a bar specializing in girlie cocktails(my fave kind). Whereas the Cashier Di Pizza is the cute guy who rang me up for my slices the most recent time I came in here. What to get: Late Night Slices. This is the new location of the pizza legend that used to be on Elmwood. Their slices are still really wet, delicious, yummy, and typical Buffalonian, however their prices have gone way up, so I understand all of the negative reviews. However I review based on price alone, and their products are still yummy-as-f***(YAF to hipsters). If «Consistent» was the name of a band, then this pizza place would be the lead singer. In the sense that it is «In Consistent.» Seriously though, the first time I came here(a couple of months back), I got two slices and they were the biggest, hottest, wettest, juiciest, sexiest slices of Buffalo Pizza I can remember eating. Then the second time I came here the slices were lukewarm and dry and smaller and definitely not a 5-star experience. The third time, the experience was somewhere between the two… so I have no idea what the norm is. I guess a fourth visit is on the proverbial cards. The Casa Di Priya is the house of my cute Hindu ex-girlfriend. Actually it’s her Dad’s house and if he had ever found me in there with her, well… I wouldn’t be writing this review today. Names have been changed to protect the guilty. So I’m not sure exactly what to tell you about CDP. They make quintessential, doughy, wet, juicy, cheesy, saucy Buffalo-style pizza and they make it very well — sometimes. If you go on a day when the slices are akin to my first visit, then you’re in luck. They’re not too pricy for a place near downtown($ 2.50 tax included), and they’re juicy and will fill you up. On the other hand I can’t guarantee you that you’ll get amazing slices, since once they were just good and once they were, well, bad. The Casa Di Peter is where Mr. Sellers, Mr. Gabriel, Mr. Parker aka Spiderman, and Mr. North(the one who erupts like a fountain, famously so… OK this is awkward. My friend told me about it), all share a room. Apparently, in that household at least, Mr. Gabriel is, in fact, not the«Sledgehammer» as previously advertised. That mantra is owned by one of the other three residents and I shall say no more. In addition to the on-again-off-again slices, I have tried the dirt cheap Chicken Finger Sub(when it was on special… a full size sub for $ 5), and it was… well, dirt cheap. It wasn’t the best CFS I’ve had, but then again it was far from the worst. Pretty average really. Not too much chicken on there, but you can’t expect too much for $ 5. My friend who loves CFS sandwiches said that it was delicious. But then she says that about nearly everything. The Casa Di Lolita is not worth visiting. You might think you’re having fun, but being in jail is no fun. Take it from my friends Bubba The Lifer and Large Marge. Actually that’s my sister and brother. :( Finally, the great thing about CDP is that it’s open super late. I think it’s something like 11.30 or 12, which means that when most places are done for the night, you can get big, cheap, hot slices here to fill you right up. If you miss the window and CDP has closed, then venture over to Hertel Avenue where Zip’s(yum!) and Daddio’s(decent with much better service than Zip’s) await and are open until 2 or 3am. And of course, let’s not forget that the Casa Di Panochita is where you go in Mexico as the equivalent to the Casa Di Lolita aforementioned. But again, I have to strongly advise against this. It’s just unethical. Then again so are most of my reviews.

Had a house party that ended up being double the number of guest originally estimated… so with Casa-Di-Pizza so close we ordered a large pie and double wings. PRICE I fell as if we’re paying for the new location with the prices, not astronomical but I definitely noticed an uptick in cost. SERVICE Pie was ready, hot, accurate and counter service very friendly. FOOD I felt as if not enough seasoning was used on the pizza and wings, although my guests didn’t care as they were using it to absorb alcohol I believe with any next orders we’ll request extra seasoning. I do believe the toppings were very fresh wish was pleasant and the wings were juicy. RETURN? Will I return? Yes, the food and service were solid and I believe with some specific requests for my next order I’ll see improvement.

I like the ambience of the restaurant. I had a lunch at the bar area. I really enjoyed their food and service. Colleen is an amazing server! Excellent service and hospitality. Would love to come back again if I have a chance. Nice selection of local beers on tap too.

So I went there new year’s eve. I was cold and famished and what is better than hot deep dish pizza? So I ordered large bacon-steak deep dish. The toppings were fresh and awesome. I had a problem with the crust it just wasn’t good. I also think the didn’t put enough cheese, since the toppings weren’t properly stick to the crust. On the other hand, tomato sauce was awesome. Overall it was ok very friendly cozy atmosphere. I started the new year with deep dish I suggest you do the same if you want to have a great year.

I collected money from my coworkers, excited for them to try Casa. I called to order a sheet pizza and the price had changed from the menu online. I politely asked if they could honor the online price, so that I didn’t have to pay more then my share, and didn’t have to canvas the office to collect more money. The manager said«there was nothing he could do about it.» Yes I recognize that the prices are subject to change, but for under $ 4 he would rather lose business, and 10 potential future customers in our office, AND the potential to be our future go to pizzeria for an office of 130 for our future orders of our 7 monthly meeting pizzas. Oh well. Plenty of other pizza joints in town.

Love the new location! In summer the outside seating is great. When business and downtown finally opens up, you should consider covering part of the outside area for special events… Thank you Judy for always welcoming us and having fun with us and all her customers. They are one of the few pizzerias that put Romano cheese on pizza for lactose intolerant clientele. Suggestion, cater to your new younger customers that are vegetarians vegans and more lactose intolerant gluten free choices…

I came here when it 1st opened. The pizza is pretty good. I also like the side salads they offer. This location is really nice inside. It also has an extended resturant to sit and dine. I believe this location was built to make up for the storefront that was lost on Elmwood. And it has superceded it by far. Great for a bite to eat or lunch with friends.

Seriously! Get it together! I gave this place 4 chances! If it’s not a half hour waiting on food it’s a half hour waiting for them to fix your bill. I can name several other pizza places that give you better food at a fraction of the price. As a matter of fact, you can go to one of the many Italian restaurants downtown and order pizza for less. I left this place either ill, annoyed or both all 4 times.

Live right across the street so go to this place 3x a week at least. I know real healthy. Normally I LOVE their food, good pizza, great chicken fingers but tonight I stopped in for a slice of chicken finger pizza and it was the worst slice Ive ever had from there– the pizza had to have been hours old– it was hard and I couldn’t even eat it. Next time you give someone a slice of pizza please make sure its fresh or at least eatable. real sad about this and hope it was only a one time occurrence !

Frustrated with the pricing here at Casa-Di-Pizza. This is what happened; came in on Friday night for pizza to go and was thrilled to see they had a Gluten Free crust. When I inquired about it, the guy behind the counter asked if I was sure that’s what I wanted because the pie was really small. The Gluten Free pizza was just for me, so I knew that it was going to be plenty. I began to build my own, adding onions, peppers, spinach and so on. As I began ordering toppings, I noticed the vegetable pizza on the menu which consisted of tomato base sauce, spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes and onions with mozzarella cheese. That was exactly what I wanted, but with Gluten Free crust. The guy behind the counter told me that each topping added to the Gluten Free pizza crust was $ 2. So if i had decided to get the vegetable pizza Gluten Free(very small size) the pizza was going to cost me $ 22. That’s absolute insanity and a complete rip off. The toppings on the gluten free pizza should not be the same cost as the toppings put on regular pizzas especially since the Gluten Free pizza is smaller. A large vegetable pizza costs $ 17.49 but a tiny Gluten Free Vegetable Pizza costs $ 22? That’s a rip off. So, instead, I built my own Gluten Free Pizza, added spinach, onions and peppers and the pizza still came to $ 17. I could not believe how expensive it was. $ 10MAX that pizza should have cost. Especially since the large regular pizza we also ordered came to $ 15! Ridiculous. We waited about 15 minutes for the pizza to be ready and in the meantime sat in the back by the bar. I never visited the old Casa location so I can’t do a comparison but it’s comfortable, plenty of seating with a bar. Nothing special, but pretty cool for a pizza joint to have a bar and plenty of televisions. Their menu is really big, lots of salads, wings, appetizers subs and sandwiches. Overall, it’s pricey, it’s just a fact. Now onto the quality of the pizza. I didn’t try the regular pie but my sister enjoyed it. The Gluten Free crust was surprisingly crunchy. The vegetables were delicious but they didn’t go well with the red sauce. The red sauce had onions in it, it actually reminded me of Prego that you can buy from any grocery store, not great, not great at all. It would have been much better with the garlic olive oil base in my opinion. Too much butter on the crust though, way too much butter. Compared to other gluten free crusts I’ve had though, this was probably the best, texture wise. It was strong enough to hold up with all the ingredients which is more than I can say for other GF pizzas I’ve tried. It was just alright for me. The guys behind the counter were really friendly and cool, I just couldn’t believe the cost…$ 34. Woof.

My first time ordering delivery from this spot. The girl taking my order was very polite and accommodating. Delivery showed up in u de and hour and was still hot. I ordered the low carb spinach dip with chips. However the garlic spinach dip w garlic bread pieces arrived. It was darn good! Garlic bread was buttery, garlicky, with the right amount of crunch on the crust. The dip was pretty decent. Chunks of artichoke hearts, pretty cheesy and garlicky. Spinach was really good. Even though I got the wrong item, it was good! Just not as healthy. Lol. My friend ordered a personal pizza. I tried a piece. It was decent. Being a Queens NYC native I’m very picky. The sauce was good. Mozzarella was yummy. Crust was ok… I’m used to the bubbly crunchy crust. But this did taste good! I will most definitely be ordering from here more!

Use to live around the corner, walking distance. Huge, and I mean huge portion sizes on every single dish. By far the best thing there is the Stromboli, in my opinion. Cooked to perfection. Golden brown and crispy, and companied by marinara and garlic butter that is so on point with the Stromboli; that it’s a better match than peanut butter and jelly.

The Elmwood location is closed, sadly. It was a nice, homey neighborhood place. The new East Mohawk location is modern, fresh, with indoor and outdoor seating, but lacks the warm charm of the old place. $ 5 to park across the street — no free parking like Elmwood. The menu was an 8 page«newspaper» with menu items scattered among articles, old ads, pictures, comics etc. It was a little difficult to find the food items. I can’t imagine this location being as popular as the old one for dinner — there is no neighborhood there. The food seems the same — good, although the pasta sauce seemed a little more tart than I remember — and we had a friendly and efficient waitress. There were just a few other people there at 6:30PM — not busy like Elmwood would have been. We probably won’t go back. Sorry Casa.

The life was sucked out of the wings I ordered. .they were over cooked and dry… the mild sauce was regular and not tasty at all. I havent tried the pizza yet, so I can’t say anything about that, but the place is set up nicely with losts of seating… I may just stick to my Gino’s bc after those wings, I may not want to go back.

I have to start by saying i was a very steady regular at the Elmwood location from the time i moved to Buffalo more than 3 years ago. As much as I liked the food the staff and the regulars are what everybody loved the most, I’m sure I have met at least a dozen what are now good friends since my first visit. I’ve had a sub, pizza and of course the wings at the new location and it couldn’t have been better! Looking forward to many more visits in the future. Thanks Jamie, Michael, Ann, Carly and the entire staff!

As a former frequent patron of the Elmwood location(I live AND work on Hodge), I was sad to see my old standby relocate. Nevertheless, in an attempt to support my favorite pizza place, I ordered take out from their new location. The new location is beautiful, and when downtown I would visit again, however this will probably be my last takeout order. The guy at the counter was very nice and familiar as I recognized him from the old location. I asked him how he liked the new location where he diplomatically said he is getting used to the change but misses aspects of the Elmwood location. After a pleasant converstion, he rang me up for a SMALL cheese and pepperoni and 10 wings for nearly $ 25! Let me emphasize SMALL. Still, despite the price I was eager to dig in once we got home. The wings which I orderd hot were more akin to very mild. No spice or sauce on them at all. The pizza which I normally love and is usually decked in grease(which I also love) was very un-Casa-like. Is it the new kitchen equiptment that doesn’t have years of grease or is the recipe changed? Don’t get me wrong I love that downtown is starting to get life breathed back into it and that an old building is being repurposed, but for the cost and decline in the food I begrudgingly will be taking my takeout service elsewhere.

I ordered 2 pepperoni pizza slices because that is truly how you judge a pizza place. The pizza was good but not Gino and Joes or Primo pizza good. My major complaint is that there were not a lot of seating area for customers who just wanted a slice or two and take a seat. They did have outside seating but it was raining. I didn’t check the dine in area so I can’t comment on that. I’ll have to go back in a few months to see if anything changed because they really have only been open for five days.
