Build-A-Bear Workshop

Fantastic service, atmosphere and energy! I wish I could remember the employee’s name that helped us to build Strawberry, my nieces new birthday bear. This associate was upbeat, a great up seller (not great for my charge card :0) but excellent for business). The staff is trained incredibly well and you felt as if they really do love working for Build A Bear and with children. The bears are moderately priced. Where do they get you, the accessories. The experience as a whole was hands on fun!

I don’t like naked construction workers. In other words, I’d never want to see a Builder Bare.
However this store is my exception.
I was in the B-​A-​B workshop over Xmas, and I got someone a bear! It was my first time buying a toy from here and she absolutely adored it. The employees were wonderful, the product was fantastic, and the girl who gave me advice was ridiculously sweet. I don’t think she had a crush on me, maybe in my own mind she did.
Anyway, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Only the high prices cause them to not be 5 stars. And of course, it’s a chain.
It’s soooooooooo cute. I mean, how cute is the concept of Build-​A-​Bear anyway? It’s one of those things that only girls and gay guys should really love, and yet I love it more than any girl or gay guy I know. So I’m probably a girl living in a gay guy’s body. No wonder I love getting it on with Alex, my CM, and Alex K too for that matter, so very much.
Seriously though, although they lose 1 star for being a chain and for high prices, I have to give them a four because I just can’t get over how adorable these bears are, and the whole concept is. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. It’s definitely an «aww» place. In fact I may have to start a new Unilocal list just for that. «Aww places.» Or if the bear comes to life and mauls you then «Rawr» more than «Aww.» But that can be fun too. Alex showed me that. The hard way.

Great places to the kids for a job well done on a report card, for a birthday or whatever! I do recommend having the child with you though bc it is all about the experience!
The kids first pick their animal, then a heart to stuff inside and they make a super cute big deal about the stuff of the heart! The kids help put the stuffing in the bear and can pick a sent or a beating heart or a sound card to put in. They tie the bear up for. you and direct you to a bath tub area to scrub up the bear.
Theres a ton of accessories to try from for the stuffed animals. Honestly thats where it starts to get expensive. Unless we have a coupon we skip this part. Then you make a birth certificate for the animal!!! The bears finally get a little card board house to go home in and color.
If you are getting this for a gift I encourage and recommend that you dont have the abimal stuffed so the child can take it and get the experience.
Finally if your bear rips or losses stuffing just bring it on by and they take care of it

Compact: Great place to make a personalized gift for child or adult. Great place to bring children to make their own gift. This gift will cost you some bucks though so be aware.
Expanded: Have a sports fanatic in your life? Want to get them something cute? This could be the place. Or make a ballerina bear for a young dancer in your life. Perfect valentines gift. Not only bears available either. Some ninja turtles. Ponys. You can buy a premade/​predressed stuffed animal as well.
Or come have your party here. The kids can make a bear and have a great time with age appropriate games etc. This place KNOWS HOW TO DO A PARTY. From 5 – 15 I imagine all will be happy. They have a process for different ages, and can handle both boys and girls. If you need «non traditional hours» call them, they can probably work with you on that too.
