Buffalo State Sports Arena

I went here for Canisius hockey when it was their home ice rink. There is not a lot of close parking now that they’ve built new dorms right across from the sports arena. The concession stand is pretty barren, they no longer offer fresh naco cheese. Standard pre cooked hotdogs, pizza, pretzels, and drinks. Prices are a little high for the quality. The ice rink starts out warm but by the middle of the 2^nd period the heat is shut off. You can really feel it by the 3^rd, so dress warm. Seating is bleacher style, hard wooden benches. Come early and sit in the back row so you can rest against the railing. There is elevator access on the bottom floor but it isn’t obvious. They play bad music really loud, sometimes you can’t hear the announcer. Its fine for a college game but overall not that great of an experience.
