Just recently moved to the area. I’m amazed at the sheer size of this bjs. The one that was in my home town was half the size. Everything is well stocked and I spend a lot more money the. I had planned every time I visit. I do wish they had more check out lanes available. I feel that no matter what time I visit the it takes forever to check out.

I usually shop at BJs on Sheridan. But I’ve been to this location a number of times over the past year. Parking is better here than at Sheridan. This is a large store, like most of them. I like the layout and since I go when it’s not too crowded it’s usually in and out for me. I also tend not to buy food here but rather various drink choices and other non food items. As a result this review does not cover the bakery or meats and cheeses etc. Self checkout here is great. There are no lines and the machines all work. Can’t be beat.

I shop at BJ’s for lots and lots of things, especially when it comes to entertaining at the holidays. Some of my favorite products: — 32oz of cream cheese at once(critical for the Christmas time appetizers) — pre-portioned chicken tenderloin cutlets ready to throw in the freezer — generally we buy chicken and portion it out in freezer bags anyways, and not only does this cut out that steop for us, but it’s cheaper, too! — cases of life water /club soda /pop /anything you drink more than 2 of a week — the entire frozen section — detergent and shampoo We buy very little from the«grocery» aisles because I find it goes to waste, but when it comes to things I can freeze, I go crazy!

A special note about Organic Quinoa: If you get over excited to find bulk & cheap organic quinoa then do not even get close to it as it is adulterated by mini stones that comes in your mouth as pits in cherries! Now coming to the rest of the point: Another wholesale club but when compared to Costco i like the improvements and changes they are doing with bringing more Organic & locally grown food. Just saw a sign that they are bringing locally grown seasonal produce as possible. Their catalog is helpful to know the details of this. Some of the details as mom’s point of view who like organic food or just notes on bulk few things or not: 1) This store has eggs from local distributors in Clarence town. They are sold in 24 packs and costs very less. 2) The branded organic milk like Horizon(organic) along with other brands. 3) Local brand chocolate milk 4) Organic Probiotics & Kefir that used to be just in few natural markets 5) Various kids yogurts, organic yogurts of Stonyfield for babies & kids. 6) Agave nectar & honey for less price that was available in just natural markets. 7) Sometimes organic cereals 8) Applegate farms Organic meats(great bargain as compared to retail stores) and other organic meats(Not much difference as compared to Wegman’s) 9) produce(Spinach, kale, collards are great bargain), Fruits(nothing much difference), Lemons(they get spoiled very easily), Tomatoes(not much difference, sometimes expensive than retails like Aldi & Wegman’s), Melons(yes) ‚ 10) Panera soups + UNO’s Pizza available here 11) Gas station for members and is always priced lesser, though few cents difference. 12) Disposables(plates+ cutlery+ napkins), much better bargains in Walmart 13) Great place for home theaters & TVs unless you have something in particular. 14) No choice for all natural chemicals or cleaning products. 15) Toys are usually expensive here so as books 16) Clothes: less choice but if you hardly care about brands and particular styles then you can check. But usually i still find them expensive compared to what i can catch in deal or sale at retails or outlets 17) local made breads, few other type of cakes than just regular boring cakes 18) Many more selections of brands and variety to choose from when compared to Sams club or Costco. Special parking for family with kids + lots of coupons and great deals + great hot dog or pizza for $ 1.00

BJs and the Bear! I cant say enough about BJs. They have all sort of bulk stuffs like beans and towles and tuna fish and tires and dvd’s and toys and candy and food and ketchup and pickles. We go through alot of mayonayse on Saturdays so I need to buy it in bulk and in large quantities. I heard these warehouse places can be dangerous if a giant pile of Welch’s grape jelly falls on your head, but Ive never had a problem. I did see an unusual purple stain on the floor once. BJ’s — yeah!

It’s like a Costco with less Chinese people. This one has a really badly designed parking lot such that it can take upwards of 20 minutes to exit when crowded.
