Lunch here today was great cornmeal fried haddock, greens, Mac-n-cheese, yams, with tiny little corn muffins all well seasoned & very tasty BUT the best thing I ate was a huge piece of death by chocolate cake it was big, tall, wide, rich & delicious served on a pie tin yummmm. I thought the owner was great, very pleasant he kinda moved at his own speed which wasn’t as fast as the rabbit. But not as slow as the turtle the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was a rude-pushy-lady in the store ordering her food it seemed as if every time I tried talking to the owner she wanted to interrupt which distracted him I guess he was just trying to please everyone. But I was on a lunch break!

Ordering food from here will be a pleasant experience. They were quite welcoming, it almost really felt as if I’ve known the person for awhile. Now on to the food, I ordered the Large haddock fish dinner which came with two sides and two cornbreads $ 10 and some change. The fish was good, the greens were too but the mac-n-cheese left much to be desired. I’ll definitely visit this place again.

Opened Dec 6, 2014, the selection of bake goods was good and everything I ate was very good. They have Fish fry available M-Sat and that can be hard to find. They are Bakery + Café + Soul Food and all super yum.
