My family has been going to Paul forever and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Besides top-notch quality, you can tell how much Paul cares as he will always clean your jewelry and wants to keep everything at peak condition.

Paul did a wonderful job for a reasonable price. You can’t tell where the jewelry was repaired. It looks like it never broke. He shows jewelry by appointment only so call first. Very nice man who knows his stuff! Highly recommend for jewelry repair!

I have known Paul since the late ’80’s, and have returned over and over to him for special gifts for my wife for birthdays, Christmas, and anniversaries. He always amazes us with his skill, creativity and personal touch. Whether your budget is $ 100 or $ 100k, he can come up with a special gift your significant other will never forget!

Not only is Paul Michaels an excellent jeweler; he delivers honest and thoughtful consultation while selecting a piece. No matter how much you plan to spend it will not effect the care and time he affords you. The selection is diverse in make and budget, and is of exceptional quality. A customer for life.

I have been going to Aurum for over 12 years. I was smitten from the first time I walked through the door. The jewelry selection is fabulous. I love estate jewelry and Paul(the owner) has a beautiful selection. They do custom jewelry as well and the craftsmanship on those pieces are the best. I have had rings sized, you would never ever be able to tell there was an alteration in size. You are always given the royal treatment. I don’t know why you would ever go anywhere else.

Fabulous selection! They have a nice selection of estate jewelry and a few modern pieces: gold, sterling silver, pearls, etc. I fell in love with two modern pieces that were gold and real wood. Alas, I did not get them. The secure entry, heavy door, and upscale displays gives it the feel of Tiffany’s– Elmwood Village style. You can walk in but if you want a custom design consultation, you need to make an appointment with the owner. I originally came into the store to get a third opinion on an offer to buy some old jewelry I was no longer wearing. Enter Paul. The owner and designer. He exudes sophistication, dry humor, and an eye for style! Anyways… he went to school for jewelry design at RIT and has been in the business over 30 years. Paul talked some sense into me. I didn’t want to sell old gold(2 were passed down to me but very out of style) for scrap prices. He knew the best way to upcycle them and make their design a little more current. We decided to add pearls to gold earrings, turn a white gold ring into a necklace pendant, and split a plain gold band into semi hoop earrings. At the end of the day, for $ 300 I had 3 new pieces of classy jewelry. It was a much better use of the existing jewelry than selling it for scrap metal. I think the only thing that would have topped the shopping experience would have been if I wore a sunglasses and was sipping some bubbly while checking out the display cases. :)
