I have been going to their palatine store for years. they closed that store due to bad shopping center. I drive all the way to buffalo grove store just because the good work they always have done for me!

I should have read the reviews on Unilocal first before going to this place that claims to be «cleaners«. They are more like destroyers! They don’t even deserve one star, that’s how bad they are! They completely destroyed my Coach bag. Instead of telling me that they could not clean it they went ahead and cleaned it twice. And instead of being apologetic the owner«Bobby» was defensive and refused to acknowledge that they had done anything wrong. Don’t waste your time and money in this place. I am going to complain to the BBB also as these people don’t deserve to be in business.

THEWORSTCLEANERS! DONOTGOHEREIFYOUCANAVOIDIT! My husband went here for a few months and this last time, they lost 3 out of his nine shirts, total value of the three shirts is $ 150. When he came to pick them up, the lady at front basically said«sorry we lost them, I don’t know what I can do for you, call Dawn from management.» And we did just that, we called Dawn who gave us this whole fake shpeel that they lose shirts all the time and that we should wait 30 days in case someone returns my husbands shirts as she said this is a common occurrence. That was a red flag right there, and I knew something was off. She then said that after 30 days if they are not returned, they will give us a credit of the amount of the shirts as THEYNEVERRETURNYOURMONEY. However, as polite customers that we are, we trusted Dawn and waited 30 days as she insisted before calling again to report the still missing shirts. We called her this past Friday and Dawn says, «Now you have to talk to Bobby from billing but she will be back on Monday.» So here we are again, believing her made up story. We called today and Dawn picks up and says«that she spoke with Bobby and they will NOT be giving us anything back. Supposedly there was a mix up with the tag number and the shirts were never lost, supposedly my husband only turned in 6 shirts instead of 9 that are on the tag.» WOW what a load of BS. I’ve never heard of such thieves in my life. I asked her why she didn’t tell us earlier that the tag was wrong, and she said«she didn’t have a chance as she was out of town.» Lie after lie, and after believing their BS for a month, they said«take us to court, we don’t care.» I’ve never experienced such rude, nasty people in my life. Customer service does not exist at Dutch Maid Cleaners. They are absolutely horrible. Not to mention that they’ve discolored several of my sweaters in the past, but never as bad as this past experience. They don’t deserve to be in the service industry.

I’ll add my one-star review to the others. I used to bring my dry cleaning there because they were conveniently located for me. The last time I was there, they ripped a shirt of mine and accused me of bringing it to them in that condition. Bad enough to damage the shirt, worse still to deny responsibility, but to accuse the customer. Done with them! I remember saying something as I was leaving about writing a very critical review about them. The woman behind the counter replied to me «I’ve heard that before!» Apparently. Just stay away.

This place is ridiculous. It sounds like they have not changed since the last reviewer posted so negatively. AGAIN — DONOTGOHERE unless you absolutely care less about the clothing you are bringing in. It is a complete risk with this inept place. They consistently lose items and send you home with other people’s items. There is no customer service. What a joke of a poorly run business. No apologies for mysteriously missing items. Every batch of shirts has buttons smashed, and why are dry cleaned shirts shrinking? No, I am not becoming a fat bas*ard nor am I hanging from trees. Long sleeve shirts with sleeves shortened by two inches. How? They stamp your items with your last name, misspelled in ink as many as 6 times — on top of each other and in a visible location. Even if this was a good way to tag an item isn’t once enough? $ 200+ shirts destroyed with overlapping stamps after a single wear on multiple shirts. Their tagging process is NOTWORKING — they have lost multiple items of mine and sent home other people’s items with me. I return the wrong items and these guys claim they gave me all of my items already. You are treated abrasively with no recourse. I have foolishly given these guys so many chances to redeem themselves. Proximity was the only reason for going here for me… UNTILNOW. PROCEEDANDDRIVERIGHTBYTHISEXCUSEOF A BUSINESS. It is not worth the HIGHRISK or the waste of time trying to reason with them after they LOSE or DESTROY your clothing.

DONOTGOHERE! they have terrible customer service and do not care about customers or their belongings. Prices are enticing but actual service is much less than satisfactory. They RUINED a $ 600 wool coat of mine and denied it. It is less than 1 year old and completely melted off the leather on the buckles. The OWNER claimed it came in that way. On top of it the cleaning was very suboptimal– I had pills and lint all over the coat! They lie and provide no helpful service at all and have very dishonest and distrusting owners. CUSTOMERBEWARE!!!
