We came here for my husband to grab a bite to eat. There were two customers in the dining area. It was hot inside, it didn’t feel like there was any air running. My husband ordered a burger combo. I don’t know if they had to go out back and kill the cow first or what. We waited 22 minutes to get the burger. The burger was described as «just a burger». The upholstery on the booth we were sitting at had holes in it and the table looked like it had a burn on it. Given the lengthy wait time for something as simple as a burger, I don’t think we will be back.

The food here is not that great. Ordered the chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala. The chicken in the biryani was still on the bone when they served it — I’ve never seen that before — and it tasted bland/dry. The rice was more like fried rice, but if I had wanted fried rice, I’d have gone to Panda Express. The chicken tikka masala was okay. Everything on the plate(chicken + sauce, rice, salad) was bland. The saving grace(food wise) for this place is their naan. The naan was nice and fluffy, just the way I like it. And the service was good.

This is Pakistani cuisine, not Indian(or afghan or middle eastern). Therefore their specialities are different than that of a Indian restaurant. The spices and flavor nuances are different. Kinda like going to a(this is a random analogy) thai place and asking for lo mein. I recommend the saag gosht(spinach and beef), chicken charga(I think they bake it then fry it… whatever they do, it’s amazing!) and also Nihari(chunks of beef in a spicy gravy). The grilled/tandoori items are tasty too. My kids had the burgers which were surprisingly good. The place is clean and service is very friendly. I will definitely be going back to try more things from their menu.

Very good food. The Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Biryani Rice dish were excellent. They both had the perfect amount of spice. The restaurant is very clean. And it didn’t take very long for the food to come out. I also recommend the garlic Naan bread. I will definitely eat here again.

Don’t even bother ordering online for pickup! Completely POINTLESS!!! To Red Chili restaurant owner: if you want to use Unilocal/EAT24, then please check your system OFTEN for new orders coz it’s more inconvenient to place order again in person and to wait another hour to finally eat!!! Unilocal/EAT24 has great customer service and has cancelled orders quickly when there’s a discrepancy(they’ll even follow-up w/a phone call) so I know it’s usually the restaurants’ end that screw up! First time: Arrived at empty restaurant to pickup our order and cashier looked confused as she saw there were no orders placed recently. So she asked us to repeat our order again as she enters it into their system for cook to start preparing our dishes. This older guy who looked like owner or manager later checks his phone and finally sees our original order. Red Chili apparently did not check their computers/phones and it was frustrating to place our order again in person and wait another 45min for them to prepare it! Good thing Marshalls/Ross were still open… Ok, so I thought it’s the business’ growing pains and I am willing to give another chance sometime in future. Second attempt(2 months later): Lesson learned and we called Red Chili to verify that they received our order prior to picking it up. Girl who answered the phone 09÷05÷15 @ 4:15pm asked for me to repeat the order as they once again claimed they have no way to verify our online order. Ok fine, I give her our order and she tells me «umm we never had lamb tikka masala» I then tell her we had that order twice in the past. She then tells me their online menu is different and that they never had lamb! I told her well Unilocal/EAT24 already charged us, is there something equally priced so we could replace it? She replies«I don’t know» and she bypasses my question and asks what else did we order. I then tell her«Mattar Pilaf» and she goes on to say, «what kind of rice… don’t think we have that» so I told her — you know what, just forget it! Just cancel our order entirely!!! Thought Red Chili would be «convenient» since it was on the way home from our excursions and I could order quickly online, but in the end it’s NOT worth the time, the frustration, or even the mediocre food! Sorry last chance blown!!!

saw this place several time but never walked in… area is pretty small. At a peak time there were few customers. Now… I didnt know anything so I just ordered what I know. I looked at the menu and pointed at a chicken. a food that was not on english menu(chicken mundi) I love that. They also sold me over to get garlic bread. And as usual, try new ethnic drink(mango lassi)… the staff was very patient with me and my indecisiveness… overall food was good. Service was good

This place is a joke. The beef is too salty prepared Mexican style. Not even close to Mediterranean or indian. And the staff are all speaking in Spanish then looking at me. I wonder if theyre talking about me or my food? Poor customer service. And the food preparers are not wearing hair nets, god knows if they even washed their hands. They prepared the food with bare hands. Food isnt good at all. Total disappointment. I love Persian, Afghan, Indian food and this is not even close to the quality Im accustomed to.

#100Reviews2015 — Review No. 38 ***Review #300*** My first time here I’d already eaten, but mention of good Pakistani cuisine is always tempting, so I meandered in, and ordered the veggie samosas, to be blown away by the crispy exterior and the delicious filling, so perfectly spiced. $ 1.99 for two? Yes, please! So the bff, his waifu, and I returned to further sample the menu, and I believe we all left pretty satisfied, taste buds singing with the thrill of good food. Paneer masala. interesting, but not really my thing. Sauce was a bit on the sweeter side. Channa masala, which I usually love, lacking in sauce. Bestie and Waifu loved their chicken wings, and we all loved the veggie biryani. Well worth ordering again. Garlic naan and roti were also exceptional, highly recommend. The samosas again, truly wonderful. Most things can be ordered with beef, lamb, or chicken, for my meat eating compadres. Inexpensive, great customer service from the staff, and excellent noms await you! What’re ya waiting for?! Highly recommend.

Their bun kababs alone are worth the trip. I often end up stopping by here on the way to my parents’ place to pick some up. To be honest, I like the taste at their Northridge location a bit more, but I think that’s just a matter of time before they fully hit their stride at this newer location.

My friend and I came here for dinner. The only good thing we had were garlic naan and ice water. Mango lassi was sour. Paneer saag was sour. Lamb Vindaloo: only potato tasted good but lamb: omg. tasted really bad. The lady was very courtious while serving. Never going there again. The food we had, were not good. Just heads up for people if you are going there for the first time. I hope owner hears it and tries to serve fresh food. If not, good luck.

One star for the naan and one for the chicken flavor(however it’s not cooked all the way. Really wanted to like this place. Love this type of cuisine but Red Chili has a long way to improve. Pleasant cashier. Cook handlers the meat without watching his hands(was watching and paying attention as I was the only one in at the time). He washed after he put the meat on the grill. Rice super dry. Salad was dry — cucumbers, carrots and ice berg — did. It didn’t have ANY kind of dressing. looked nothing like the menu pic. Disappointing! Also, they use styrofoam containers(to go) which is cancer-causing. :(

After the disappointment of the chinese place being closed, we remembered rave reviews for this place, called the person who recommended it and got directions. We ordered different items from the menu on top of the counter and proceeded to our table. Then saw posters for more items which were not on the menu. Still, now we know to ask. Food came quickly, was sufficient, good price and yummy. We tried the lunch combos for Chicken tikka(boneless), Chicken karahi and the wings(huge). The naans were a big hit, Love the buttery goodness! Definitely on our go to list now.

Cleaner than most Indian/Pakistani restaurants I’ve seen. Having said that I was disappointed when I found a piece of rubber band inside my sandwich(bun kabob) Still good food. Went back twice. I hope the rubber band was just an anomaly because of new crew

I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan to go. The chicken was wonderfully moist and the sauce was delicious. The naan was good but a little thicker/breadier than the place I usually go to for Indian food(lunch buffet style). The naan was perfect texture for dipping/soaking in the sauce though. Yummy, but pretty expensive(about $ 15) for the amount of food I got. I will stick to the Indian lunch buffet near my work where I can get a full tummy on a variety of food for about $ 9-$ 10. More satisfying. (Everything at Red Chili is a la carte. The main dishes do not come with anything… no naan or rice/briyani. Even if they had, I still felt it was priced high.) Food: 4.5 stars Price: 3 stars

If you are searching for the best Biryani and Chicken Wraps in town then your search is over. Tender, juicy and finely cooked chicken. Must try: Chicken Biryani, Malai Chicken Wrap and Chicken tikka masala with Naan. PS: Someone just got a regular visitor.

Finally, decent Pakistani & Indian food in OC! Decided to stop by for lunch after the gym since I had a craving and didn’t want to go all the way to Artesia for good Indian food and gave this place a shot. Very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the veggie biryani, shrimp vindaloo, garlic naan, and mango lassi, and I was not disappointed! The biryani was very delicious, packed with lots of spices and bold flavors. I love the strong spicy and herby tomato base of the rice and how many chunky veggies there were in the biryani. The shrimp vindaloo was also very tasty, although it wasn’t what I was used to of a typical vindaloo. It was a lot chunkier than the typical vindaloo, which is smoother in texture and a lot spicier. I did like how there was a lot of fresh ginger and a tartness to the vindaloo, and it wasn’t too spicy where it hurt to eat it! Garlic naan was amazing and very fresh. They gave me sides of the two chutneys they had, which were a creamy spicy mint one and tart chili one. The mango lassi was very refreshing. It wasn’t so much of a thicker yogurt consistency, which can be a little too much with a full meal, but it was more of a cold milkshake texture with a tart mango yogurt flavor. The portions are plentiful, so I definitely had leftovers to take home. The service was great; very polite staff, and the owner of the restaurant was very friendly! One thing that I have to mention is everything is sold separately, so it all does add up and can cost quite a bit. Naan is typically included in a meal at other places I’ve been to, but you do have to pay for it as if you were ordering an additional side of it. You can always consider the lunch specials, which include naan, rice, and salad, but you are limited to only what they offer for the specials. My bill was close to $ 30 so I don’t consider it a cheap fast food/takeout place. But it’s worth it for delicious food! I will definitely be back!

So we came here tonight after not realizing our regular indian spot is closed on Tuesday evenings and after seeing such a great review on Unilocal.Well after our meal, I am definitely disappointed. Some parts were good but some were definitely not. Here’s the breakdown: Veggie samosas: 3 stars– really good spice but occasional burnt parts on the underside. Garlic naan: 5 stars– excellent! Very yummy Shrimp vindaloo– 1 star — the vindaloo flavoring seemed good but the shrimp were chewy and under cooked. We each only at one shrimp. And our waitress never questioned why we had a fully uneaten dish on our table. Chicken tika masala: 3 stars– average. Nothing to write home about. Rice: 1 star– flavor was fine but they do not include rice with the entrée dishes so it cost an extra $ 4.99. Service: 2 stars– was pleasant at the beginning as we were the only customers there, once another table came in we were completely forgot about. We were never asked how the food was or how we were doing. The real kicker came as we we closing our bill. The total seemed a little high and as I looked closer they had automatically added on a 15% tip. Not cool. We definitely won’t be back.

I was simply looking for a healthy take-out option near the college, but what I found was a near perfect little gem of a restaurant. Fine for takeout but even better to dine in. The chefs and the owner treated me like family. The food is like a warm hug from your grandmother.

When it comes to sumptuous food in town one has to come to a realization that this time around the food has to be the best, as this is going to be the best part of your day. The item of the day is Buffalo Wings. This without a doubt is the best in the house.

Tasty food, love almost everything. Go! Today I got Seehk kabob and naan it was 13. Also for the price there was not much kabob. The Nehari is the bomb. The chicken tikka masala is also very delicious.
