This company is really a very interesting one. They have the highest quality leather I have ever seen. Their customer service is also the *worst* I have ever seen. Here’s the story:
They had a «Good Deeds» contest and I entered a good deed I did (hehe) once. I ended up tying for second place with another person so I split the credit with him. I got $ 125 worth of «store» credit. I called in my order (10 sq ft of 6 oz double shoulders and 20 sq ft of 2 oz vegetable tanned goat skins*) and they said they would ship it out soon. A couple of weeks later, I got 2 goat skins (worth about $ 50 total). About a month or so later, I still hadn’t received the double shoulders so I called them. They didn’t answer. I tried emailing them several times but still to no avail. Finally, I emailed «CEO» (they have like 5 – 10 employees) and told him the issue. He said they didn’t know how to handle the credit in accounting but that it would get shipped out soon. (FYI, I made my order in mid-​November. This was in early December) Nothing happened for a long time until I emailed them again in early-​mid February. They said the shoulders were on backorder and would be shipped out by Friday (4 – 5 days). Nothing happened; more empty promises. I tried several more times to contact them (phone and email) but still nothing. I’ve finally given up. It was a real disappointment. I understand that they probably are reluctant to give away $ 125 of leather but the least they could do is give me an explanation! Always excuses; they were very busy, there was a prank caller calling them (?) etc. Overall, I’m thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. I don’t know what’s wrong with them but I will never order from them again, that’s for sure. (even in matters not having to do with the order they ignored me…)
*Their ordering system is a bit weird too. If you want 1 goat skin you order 10 sq ft. even though they’re more like 3 – 4 sq. ft. So since I ordered 20 sq ft of the goat hide, I got 2. As I mentioned before, I never received the most expensive piece (double shoulders).
