Stopped at the Holiday Inn on way further south for the night. My wife and I stayed in the king Size room. The bed had both soft and firm pillows. There were electrical outlets on all of the lamps, making it easy to plug in our phones. Can’t comment on the pool as we are just passing through, but our room was nice. Other nice touches: next to a Starbucks, tall mirror in room, toilet had water saving feature, and hot water in the shower.

I was just there a couple of weekends ago and the room was not very clean at all, but what was the worst was what looked like a blood stain on the shower curtain along with the mildew on the shower tiles. Once I brought it to the attention of the staff, they gave me a different room which was ok for the night but the carpets were just as bad as the first room. I cut my reservations to that night and checked out the next morning. The staff was very polite but the rooms(based on the two I saw) were shady no tell motel at best. Needless to say I will not use this location ever again.

Hotel room was very moldy even after switching rooms. In process of renovating hotel to be fair. Entire floors were unusable due to toxic paint smell. Hotel should be close if all floor either reek of mold or paint. Really not habitual.

Surprisingly pleased with the imenities for the price. Breakfast was delicious. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and spacious. Very impressed. PLUSSIDE= 25 minutes or less from San Marcos outlet malls and downtown Austin!

Everything about my stay was excellent. The room was spotless and comfortable. The staff was articulate and respectful. The best aspects of my stay are better articulated by what this Holiday Inn Express DIDN’T do. I did not have any problems with my check in, check out, or billing. I did not have any issues with the amenities. I did not have any issues with parking. I did not take advantage of the free breakfast, but from what I saw and heard, it was just fine. I would be happy to stay here, or at another Holiday Inn Express, again, in the future.

So I have been staying here since its opening and while it is still nice on the inside, it seems like things are going the wrong direction. On this trip I booked same day so the Hampton was sold out. I decided, having stayed at this express, I would again. Easy online booking and a great. Hotel is still looking real nice and the room is clean. My problems. .. No hot water in the afternoon. Is this normal? Cost savings? Not sure. Both the faucet and the shower head must have such a build up of hard water deposits, that neither did anything but barely spray(and I mean spray) water. Morning time, only merger hot water and when your«spraying» water, it doesn’t feel very warm. Mix this in with an AC unit that doesn’t really do what the thermostat says, and it appears this hotel is more concerned with trying to cut costs and not concerned with customer satisfaction. So all in all, I don’t mind this hotel since in a place like Buda, what you really need is a quick stop place that is clean and reasonably priced, but I will not be staying here again personally.

First the good. Hotel is nearly new and the staff is friendly. The bad. I was staying here using my Priority Club Points. The hotel requires a credit card for any additional charges. I understand that. My credit card was charged for the stay. I call them and let them know. «Oh, so sorry. We will refund your credit card charge» the manager tells me. One week later the charge is still not removed. I called again today and the manager blamed the charge on a new employee. When I suggested that they need better training he again bad mouthed the help. Since I talked to the manager twice about the original charge I suspect that the problem may not be with the help, but with management! If you use points to stay at this hotel, I suggest that you get a receipt showing zero charges to your credit card.

I travel quite a bit for work and we normally stay in HIE’s… This is a VERY new hotel(opened in 07⁄09 I believe) so everything is very clean, and not worn in. Although it is still smells like new construction, and that can be off putting. Things that have been frustrating: In a weeks stay, key card has needed to be reprogrammed twice They have NO laundry service. I had to go offsite to have my clothes laundered. This is the 1st time I have ever had this issue with an HIE. The cleaning crew does not come in a specific time. room cleanings can happen anywhere from 10am-6pm… So make sure your do not disturb sign is up! The front desk must have been told to be standing when ever someone enters the lobby. While I understand this in principle, in reality, I can see them playing on their phone, sitting reading etc. prior to me entering the glass doors and then they«jump up» as the doors open. Some may call this last one«nit picky» but it is VERY annoying to me. The TV default when you turn it on is Fox News. It is not channel one, 99 or 3 or 4(normal starting numbers) it is 48… It is obviously set this way(and yes I have tried to figure out how to change it) I know this is Texas and all, but I DONOT want to be subjected to something as off putting as Fox news. Business 101 is to be neutral. –d
