It’s a groovy little place where the staff and owner are always willing to help and lend their service. Weather it is looking to get a new bike, get one repaired, or just asking about local spots/rides. These guys are friendly and knowledgable!

I went in to have my front brakes looked at, and Adam not only fixed that, but he also re-aligned my wheels and inflated the tires! Adam was very nice to chat with and he didn’t mind me hanging out while he worked on my bike. I really recommend this place! Great customer service and even better prices.

I was recommended to go here after buying a bike at Target so that I could get it fitted and tightened, etc. Adam was not only very helpful with questions that I had over the phone, but was very friendly and had a good attitude when I went to the shop. I was quoted $ 25 and ready to pay that since he did such a great job, but was pleasantly surprised when he charged me nothing as I left. I was impressed! This is a friendly local business that had great customer service. I highly recommend going there.

I’ve been in this shop three times and each time I was indeed quite impressed. The last time in was with my 5 yr old for a helmet to match her new bike. I don’t remember the guy’s name who helped us out — because I am terrible w such things. However, this experience reminded me of when I was a kid in the 70s at the local Schwinn shop. He addressed my kid which I appreciated because she is the one wearing the helmet. He ‘splained to the kid the proper way to wear the helmet and also he fitted it. All the while he was talking to my kid like she was a human and not a little critter — which was nice bc, again, she is the one wearing the helmet. I work in the city so I usually have time to hit the big shops in town bc it is more convenient. But I will take the time to refrain from the others from now on bc I really dig the feel of this place. And the prices are very reasonable too. I am willing to pay a bit more to support a smaller, local shop any day of the week. sides, I ride by it on nearly every ride I take. So, if you havent checked this shop out, do yourself a favor and try it… and then pass on the good name.

I am only a casual pedal biker, but have recently gotten into building motorized bicycles as a hobby(first gas, now electrics). Whenever I need parts or service, I always go to Arrowhead first. Even though I am not a «real» cyclist, Paul and the rest of the crew never treat me any different than if I came in wearing spandex and a yellow jersey. They answer my n00b questions and help me find the parts I need. No pressure, no upselling. The only downside with working with a small shop is that a lot of the oddball stuff I need has to be ordered, but their prices are fair(usually within a couple of dollars of Amazon’s) and I love supporting a local business. I have had several wheels trued up and a new hub laced there and cannot say enough about their speed and quality of workmanship.

Took my older bike in for a checkup. It had been seriously neglected! It’s peddling like new and is a pleasure to ride. The owner spent time with me going over the best way to make maximum use of the 21 gears the bike has and explained things I didn’t even know about. Really pleased with this shop!

I had a pretty nasty wreck on my road bike on Hwy 21 a few weeks ago. I needed a tuneup, new bar wrap, and my dérailleur bracket bent back into place(steel frame, oh yeah!). I left it here with the mechanic before noon and had the bike back by 3PM. The prices were told to me upfront and were reasonable. He didn’t do any work that we hadn’t agreed upon and I received a phone call when the work was finished. I rode my bike in a Half-Ironman three days afterward and had NO issues whatsoever. That’s about all I could ever hope for in a bike shop: D

I have owned a mountain bike for years and years — a decent one(not near top of the line, but not an Academy cheapy either) but I’m not an «experienced cyclist». I’ve used my bike to get to where I NEEDED to go when I was young and car-less, in college, or for leisure when camping out somewhere. I get it tuned up every year and have always enjoyed riding. However, while I can generally get my chain back on if it comes off — I don’t know anything about frames, shifters, tires, how to change a flat(which I really should at this point)… you get where I’m going… I went in to Arrowhead Bicycles attempting to find my FIRST road bike. I went to a few stores in Austin, one in San Marcos and I felt like they didn’t want to deal with my general bike ignorance and my desire to buy an entry level bike. At that point, entry level bikes were still around 800 dollars, which I just wasn’t ready to lay down for my first road bike. Paul Greenfield at Arrowhead Bicycles was *awesome*. He took the time to give me multiple choices within my price range, taking my novice status into consideration when choosing the features that I might need/want on the bike. He searched around and found the perfect match for me! Even though he’s ridiculously knowledgeable, he didn’t make me feel like an idiot. He made me feel comfortable and I left the store happy! I highly recommend this shop for all cyclist levels as the customer service is amazing and it seems like if you want it — they’re going to find it for you! (edit) PS — Joseph was also super helpful(and patient) when I asked him about a million questions. Very nice guy who is eager to help and make sure you have a great time with your bike!

I had an ad on Craigs List to sell one of our bicycles(Breezer Uptown 8). Got an email out of the blue from Paul Greenfield, owner of Arrowhead Bicycles in Kyle, TX, yesterday. Apparently, a customer had come in looking for this particular bicycle but the warehouse didn’t have the color she wanted. Seems Paul keeps an eye on what’s available around town and checks Craig’s List where he found my ad, so he emails me asking for my phone number so that he could give it to his customer. Yeah, I know, Craig’s List is famous for scams and lost fortunes that someone want’s to help you claim but this guy had his name, number, bike shop name, etc. so all appeared legitimate. Emailed him my number back. Today, the customer calls me and arranges to come by and look at the bike. Yup, she bought it! This was not a cheap bike by any means, either. I have never met or talked to Paul nor have I ever been to his shop in Kyle but I tell you what, when we are in the market again for a bike, even though Kyle is a ‘fir piece” from north central Austin, his shop will be the first one I go to. He could of just told his customer«sorry, can’t help you» and sent her on her merry way but he didn’t. He could of somehow tried to scam a deal but he didn’t. Instead, he lost a sale by referring her to another source, could of been a competitor, in order to make this customer happy and to help her out. That’s a class act of integrity that is rare today. I am really impressed.
