A little tired in places, but nice water views and an easy walk to several restaurants. The wifi is free, but barely functional — and still named after the hotel’s old name, with typos. The continental breakfast is basic; the Dunkin’ Donuts down the road grabbed us more. The bed and other furniture was quite reasonable; the room carpet definitely had a few years on it, but wasn’t a problem. The hallway carpet looked uneven, but unobjectionable. The front desk was pretty friendly, and knew their way around the forms and computers, which was a nice bonus compared to some similar places I’ve stayed in other areas. Definitely made a nice mellow evening in Bucksport, I would definitely stay again.

Yikes! With no other options in bucksport we stayed here for 3 nights. This place smelled like a nursing home and the walls were as thin as paper. The bathroom was so small you could barely turn around in it. The tv was older than I am. I’ll check out a motel next time I’m here.

We had to stay 1 night here because the cabin we rented was mistakenly still occupied on what was supposed to be our first night. It was a very clean hotel. The counter staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was nice enough. We had a great view of the water and the bridge. The breakfast was pretty good. Plenty of choices(cereal, English muffins, pastry, juice), and we all had several things. We took the food to a picnic bench a short walk away down the coastal path that runs behind the hotel.(There is no where to eat other than your room, as the food is served in the hotel lobby.) All in all, it was a nice stay.

A nice, small hotel on the waterfront in Bucksport. Recommend a room on the water side, which will have a stunning view of the cable-stay bridge across the Penobscot and of Fort Knox. Wireless Internet is spotty, sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t. They could do with improving that.
